'Creekside' is a real and authentic log cabin that is located just a few minutes outside of Boone, just minutes from the Blue Ridge Pkwy, and is situated in a postcard like setting with nearly 1/2 mile of stocked trout stream that runs directly behind the cabin. If you are looking for a streamside cabin you will not find a better location anywhere. The relaxing sound of the rushing stream and waterfalls can be heard throughout the property, and there is abundant wildlife including trout, deer, turkey, fox, beavers and birds. 'Creekside' has a Beautiful BRAND NEW private hot tub on deck overlooking the stream, gas fireplace, gas grill, sat TV & queen bed, full kitchen, with brand new appliances full bath, & a pullout couch that sleeps 2 additional people .We also have another cabin on the property which can be rented either together or individually which makes this property ideal for anything from a romantic weekend or honeymoon to a large family or multi family vacation. We are dog friendly . We do require a pet fee.
There are many activities available with excellent fishing, hiking, picnicing, and campfires available on the property. Horseback riding is just 10 minutes away at nationally known Leatherwood Stables. Boone is a short 15-20 minute drive, and Blowing Rock is a 30 minute drive both of which provide excellent dining, shopping, and antiquing. Other local activities include golf, cave exploration, whitewater rafting, Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, ASU football, hunting, mountain biking, tubing, gem mines, and downhill skiing. Please remember you are staying at a real life cabin in the woods . WiFi may be spotty .

The creek was so mesmerizing — both sound and sights. We enjoyed grilling and eating alfresco, fishing, hot tub and fire one night. Loved the abundance of towels and the bed was comfy! The road is winding so we enjoyed day trips and returned before dark. Highly recommend!

While the cabin may be suitable for a couple, we found it too small for three adults. Additionally, there is no storage for clothing, which required us to keep everyone’s bags on the floor. The location beside the road at the bottom of the mountain also meant that tractor-trailer trucks using air brakes were quite loud. Regarding the accommodations, we found the bed mattress to be too soft. Furthermore, the pull-out sofa mattress had food particles on it, so we had to vacuum it and change the sheets ourselves upon arrival. Installing handrails for the hot tub steps and placing non-slip strips on the shower floor for safety would be appreciated.

We really enjoyed our visit! It was a cozy retreat for just the 2 of us to get away. The house was very clean and felt welcoming. Outside we really enjoyed listening to the stream and watching for wildlife.

My wife and I absolutely loved the cabin. Beautiful, very clean, nice gas grill and very new and very clean hot tub. Completely furnished with every amenity. Gorgeous stream stocked with trout. Very quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be returning to creekside cabin.

Loved our stay here! It was in a great location for hitting some fishing spots along the creek and very clean! Bed and furnishings were comfortable and kitchen stocked with what you need :) Hot tub was immaculate and communication was great. Not too far from Boone for day trip, but you're down the mountain and it felt like you were away from everything in the best way!

The cabin was nice and clean and everything you needed was available.The gas grill did not work, so we couldn't do our outside dinner.The area around was amazing. We enjoyed our walks on the trails with our Dog and our shopping in Boone.Cabin would need some improvements, like new matress and a covered front porch and Deck, so you could enjoy sitting outside, even if it's raining.We did not use the Hot Tub because of all the fallen leaves in the gutters.Other than that it was a relaxed and wonderful vacation.

We loved the cute cozy cabin and the hot tub was amazing. Sitting in the hot tub listening to the water in the river was so relaxing! We fished but only caught 2 so that was disappointing. Didn’t like how close to the road it was. The manager helped me anytime I had a question. Loved our time all around!

This cabin was nice…but for the price I was expecting more. It could have been a bit cleaner and being told to haul off my own trash or expect a fine of 5 per bag was distasteful. This should be included in the hefty cleaning fee. We are on vacation, our car was packed to the brim with luggage, there was no way to take our own trash 20 minutes up the local dump. We also don’t drive a truck so that would have been messy inside our car. I’ve never stayed in a rental that required this. We ended up with a large trash fee because of this. We wouldn’t stay here again, but we still had fun. Also, we saw lots of snakes in the creek during our stay so be careful!
