The home was perfect for our stay. It’s very quiet, has a beautiful view and has been nicely remodeled. We lost power one morning for a couple of hours and our host immediately texted to see if we wanted coffee, then showed up with freshly made donuts!

Great location and welcoming hosts. A great place as a base to explore the area, or to rest, recharge, and reboot. A short drive from even more adventures in Booth Bay and Owl's Head area. Well appointed kitchen, and tranquil water view.

An absolutely amazing week staying at Trudi’s Place. Such a peaceful and beautiful property. Tucked away not far from town and easy access to all the places we love to visit every time we come to Maine and yet quite and secluded when you need to unwind and recharge. We did both and look forward to doing it in the future. Tom and Jennifer were amazing hosts and if you needed them they were right across the street.

Hello!Tom and Jennifer were excellent hosts and welcomed us to Trudi's place as we were special guests. The house is the best, it's a mid-century dream. We all had a wonderful time looking out to the river and feeling like we were in a tree house. The accommodations were perfect, fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds; as the nature and the beauty is focus of the oasis. We had great meals and wonderful memories that are priceless. Home Away From Home

Beautiful setting, easily settled in, had all the comforts of home but we were on vacation! Great location for daily outings in the Damariscotta area. Jennifer and Tom are great people to know and went out of their way to make our experience memorable. Highly recommend Trudy's Place

beautiful spot

This house is in the perfect location. Right down the road from the center of Damariscotta and short day trips to a large number of fun locations to visit. It was clean and the kitchen is incredibly well stocked and organized. The location on the water is beautiful with great views.

We had a wonderful vacation and hope we can go back in the near future. We love being on the river and the town really exceeded expectations on the dining front as well as just walking around & shopping. There are so many trails within a short drive and the location is great for launching out for half or full day trips to many popular places. But actually just like being on the river and this is a special and happy house, we felt at home.

Fine time in Damarascotta

We were very happy with our place. It was so well decorated and had everything we needed. Having the Anderson across the street was a real plus. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful location and well provisioned kitchen.A variety of restaurants, nature spots/hikes, and local history are all minutes away.Strongly recommend taking a day to rest and relax and enjoy the serene views fom the house and deck. Unplug, and enjoy! Gracious hosts live close by and are very helpful.

Great place!

Cheerful, very comfy and clean. Fabulous kitchen, high quality mattresses and bed linens. Great views, the deck was our home base. Very convenient location. Hosts are super-nice, very accessible. Highly recommend.

Trudi's Place

This was our second summer stay at the house. There is so much to do in the area, convenient shopping and creature comforts but feels like a quiet get away. This year, right from the deck we saw deer, an eagle, crane and other wildlife.

A wooded oasis!

Immaculate but comfortable space with amazing vistas from every window. This home is perfectly appointed and nestled at the end of a charming lane with a magical point to sit and gaze at the water. Tom and Jennifer are fabulous hosts!

This was our second stay at Trudi’s Place. Heaven on earth. Tom and Jennifer are fantastic hosts. We spent lots of time with our own kayaks on the river. Paddled to town as well as points south. The house is beautifully appointed and has a very well stocked beautiful kitchen. Great views. Comfy in every way.

Very nice week in Damariscotta. The house was extremely well equipped and the host (Tom) could not have been more welcoming and gracious. Tom and his wife live just across the street from the rental property so he was accessible for questions and help. The house was very comfortable, had a nice view, and was convenient to town. Couldn't ask for more for a vacation rental.

Thoroughly enjoyed our two week vacation - again! This makes over 50 years of Maine vacations. Our hosts were very attentive and helpful. Their rental has all the accessories and conveniences anyone might need. Our only compliant dealt with the weather - two hurricanes, really???

Everything We Needed

The house is located in a quiet neighborhood and offers both convenience and privacy. We enjoy cooking, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The open concept afforded lots of light, and the view was lovely. There is lots to do in the area - Pemaquid lighthouse, Coastal Botanical Gardens, galleries, and hiking etc.

This was our third summer staying at Trudi's Place and, just as before, we had a wonderful time. It was a pleasure to meet up with our hosts, Tom and Jennifer, again. Their special touches to the property and overall courtesies were very much appreciated. The Deck style house was perfect for our family with plenty of space for gathering as well as quiet places for reading and daydreaming. We especially enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, wrap-around deck, comfy beds, and proximity to Damariscotta shops and area lobster pounds. A real treat!

We stayed in this lovely home over Columbus Day week. The home was perfect and we enjoyed a blend of eating in, cooking our meals in the wonderfully stocked kitchen as well as meals out in Damariscotta and the numerous towns in easy driving distance.The views and local hikes made a wonderful fall vacation. While we did venture out to some larger, well known parks, out favorites were close by.The local Pumpkin Festival lasts for 3 days, and we did pop in for some of the fun events happening all weekend. It was a perfect way to enjoy small town Maine.Beds were comfortable and the deck was just lovely. It was a wonderful trip to Maine and I would highly suggest this location as a home base.

A Hidden Gem on the Darmiscotta

Trudi's Place is charming with tucked away vibe, but only a mile from all the creature comforts of town. A well-appointed kitchen was one of our favorite features, and we enjoyed the great blend of comfy furnishings and artistic touches. The veiw of the water was loveliest dawn. We loved that we could escape for a quick trip (25 min)to Pemaquid Beach or just 5 minutes away to the cute shops and restaurants in Darmiscotta. Jennifer and Tom were gracious hosts!

Trudi’s place: the best of all worlds

Tom, the owner, was extremely helpful our entire stay. He asked us for suggestions at the end of the trip, and we really could not think of any. This home has everything, and all utensils and staples you could possibly need. It is clean, cozy, and bright. The King bedroom is a real sanctuary with its comfy bed and beautiful water view. Minutes from the downtown and grocery stores.

Wonderful experience!

Tom and Jennifer are wonderful hosts. The house is clean, spacious, has large windows that give beautiful views over the river and is stocked with everything you need. The location feels quiet and secluded but is only 5 minutes from town. Tom and Jennifer live right across the street and were so welcoming. It's truly a unique experience to have hosts for a vacation rental be so friendly and welcoming. It was really like staying at a friend's home. It was one of our best vacations ever. I hope to stay again one day soon.
