Our family loved staying at this cabin in Kachina Village. The space was comfortable, well‑kept, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. The neighborhood is peaceful and close to Flagstaff activities, which made it super convenient. We’d happily come back.
We needed to clean deck and deck furniture. Upstairs air did not work nor ceiling fan. Lots of other things broke like ice maker, fireplaces (though didn’t need as to warm). Spacious and nice location
This cabin was amazing! Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back again!

Being in the pines was wonderful! Unfortunately that is the only wonderful thing about this placeThe listing pictures make this “stunning” place look way better than it is. Things that are not like the listing pictures;*The couch-different and uncomfortable *The “great deck for morning coffee- lopsided and dangerous*The bar stools- different and too short*the pool table- no ping pong as in pic*the fireplace-picture shows it lit, hasn’t worked for a while*listing doesn’t show frig ice maker doesn’t workTVs everywhere but few remotes.Dirty appliances in cupboard. The place is well worn. Holes in the walls and cabinets, peeling plaster, peeling wood and paint, deck boards coming up. Stained and wobbly furniture. Steep rocky unkept yard with gates that don’t close properly for dogs. Huge cobwebs on the windows. Security light not working. Big burner on stove not working. 4out of 5 pool cues without tips and no chalk. Downstairs sink complained about in review over a year ago still not fixed. I could go on. Contacted owner and he wanted me to wait around for maintenance people. I did not PAY HIM to be his rental manager nor did I feel like spending my vacation waiting around for maintenance people. These problems need to be fixed before renting!! Needless to say it was not a comfortable month stay. Contacted VRBO but got little help from them. The meager refund he offered barely cut a dent in what we paid and so far have only seen half of it
This property was the perfect area for a relaxing mountain getaway. Just a few miles from downtown Flagstaff but in the woods with peace and quiet. The kids had fun in the gameroom and outside playing in the large yard. Plenty of space for 6 us. The house was very clean and well decorated while all the necessary things to spend a weekend here. We will be back
Great log cabin property. As we said it made us feel like we were back in north Wisconsin. It also helped there was almost 3 feet of snow while we were up there. Excellent space and balcony areas. host was extremely helpful with getting a company to shovel and plow us out.
We had an enjoyable time at this home. Appreciated the early check-in and late check out with nobody staying immediately after us. There were some notable issues that were notified to management group. Hot tub was great. Space and open concepts were excellent. Downstairs bedroom with a bear picture unfortunately had stained sheets (put a blanket over to sleep on) and the downstairs sink required us to put a utensil in the drain stopper to keep it up and draining. Outside of this, had a wonderful stay.

The kitchen faucet was broken the repair man came at 4 and stayed till 7 I was trying to cook dinner around him. The fireplace was not working due to the pilot light never able to start. The location was great and the grounds were beautiful. Plenty of space for a large group.
The cabin was great!! This would have been a 5 star if it wasn’t for the unwelcoming neighbor on the right facing the cabin. Is appears renters are extremely unwelcome. This is the first time I come across this issue. Other than that it was great!

There are multiple vacation rentals in the neighborhood and most of the guests have a great time. Sorry for your experience. It is not a usual occurance.

We love Flagstaff and always enjoy the outdoors. The cabin has space and a nice location. Part of the reason we booked this cabin and were willing to pay a premium (it was very expensive) was the fact that there was a hot tub and a fireplace. We felt this was a major plus when coming home after spending cold days outside. The fire place wasn't out of order and the hot tub was removed without letting us know beforehand. Overall, the place needs some attention: the icemaker isn't working, there are holes in the cutlery rack of the dishwasher causing the cutlery the fall through and blocking the whole system. There were no wine glasses (we bought 6 glasses and left them so future guests wouldn't have to deal with that), there was no strainer (to drain pasta for example) and more. The shower knobs in the main floor bathroom are completely loose. They separate from the wall, this can cause a major leak if not taking care off. The list goes on. I tried to communicate with the owner before and after our stay but he never replied to any of my notes. Very disappointing.
Overall we had a great stay. It is an older house that had its flaws. The first night the lower-level heater was not working, the owner promptly called out a handman however it was still not fixed. The next morning, he had an HVAC specialist come and fix the problem. That first night was a bit cold down there because the portable heaters kept causing the breaker switch to flip and we had to go reset it a few times, and there were no extra blankets down there. After this first night the heater was working and it was very comfortable. Bring your own tin foil, saran wrap, paper, pens, etc. The house had very little "extras" making it truly fully stocked. Some dishes needed re-washing. Loft area fan light was not working. The pool table and jacuzzi were nice. No balls were there for the ping pong table. Ice maker did not work on the refrigerator; however, they did have a separate ice maker, but this did not make ice very quickly, so we had to go buy ice twice. Neighbor across the street was blowing rocks from his house and street onto our cars, which we had to ask him to stop; he then proceeded to blow all of his snow onto our cars the next morning (which also kicks up rocks) onto our cars and burying them in his snow, and we again had to go ask him to stop this as well. The neighbor next door was very nice. I believe the owners should stay there a few nights to experience what would make it more of a 5-star house. Overall we would stay here again and come more prepared.

great location, poor execution
The location is great with easy access to Flagstaff,Munds Park, and Sedona. The house has a nice setting with a pleasant view. The beds and towels are very comfortable.
Upon arrival the upstairs A/C did not work.
Deck and downstairs glass doors do not lock. The yard is poorly maintained. The "green" grass in pictures is artificial grass. The front gate has missing boards,The flower pots do not have flowers and some are broken. There is broken furniture/ping-pong table in the front yard and visible side yard. The back deck has rotten wood with areas where small feet can get caught on a nail.It is unappealing with dead flowers in plastic pots and tables without an umbrella.
The kitchen has cracked coffee cups, inadequate silver ware (for 14 people, adequate for 6-7).Some pots were stored unwashed. The utensil drawer was not organized. The kitchen table was nice with good seating.Multiple light fixtures did not work .The advertised stereo system was not present. There was no cable for the sound bar(fortunately my son had an extra one). The "den" is large and expansive-good place for gathering. The kitchen "bar" has unmatching chairs. The cabinet with games is a mess with scattered boxes, missing pieces.
The room with pool table is interesting:the wall facing a bedroom is not finished to the ceiling leaving a 10-15 foot section ,6 inches wide open that allows sound and light into the main level bedroom. The dart board is broken with 2 broken darts provided.no first aid kit.

Thank you for your review.
1. The split AC in the master suite was fixed on the day after arrival. There was a delay in getting replacement board from the manufacturer that delayed the equipment repair prior to their arrival
2. The doors leading to the outside have a lock on the bottom of the frame.
3. The front yard has been updated with new retaining ties and boards. I have added additional lighting for the front yard
4. The back deck had ONE small 4 inch piece showing a nail. I have replaced the whole board and refinished the entire back deck and rails
5. The cabin has a lot of natural vegetation that changes seasonally.
6. All utensils and cookware are replaced as they wear out.
7. The sound bar is a Bluetooth capable sound bar and does NOT require any cables to connect.
8. I have replaced the board games with new sets as they are used and sometimes abused.
9. The game room with the pool table and the main level bedroom are part of the original cabin built fully with pine beams. The construction was made with that gap mentioned.
We had an amazing experience in this fabulous cabin, celebrated our birthday weekend. Game room, living-room movie night, bedrooms and cozy blankets, jacuzzi all was just amazing!
Our family had a reunion over Christmas, and this cabin had plenty of space for us to spread out and find privacy in multiple parts of the cabin. The furnace was not functioning the first day, and this was replaced. He provided space heaters and blankets for us until it was working again. We would enjoy staying here again.
Amazing home. Beautiful. Very well furnished with amenities. They thought of everything. Excellent response time from the owner. Easy check in and check out. Would definitely stay here again!!
This place had a great layout, super nice lighting, offered some useful stuff, and everything was thoughtfully labelled. The labelling was great because we would sometimes find things that we did not even know would be there.
My main issue was that the AC did not really work. It was a summer stay, and we basically sweat all day. If you are staying in the winter, this would not be a problem. Smaller issues were that the bathroom floor seemed oddly greasy, and one of the patio chairs exploded under the weight of one of my friends. There are three more just like that there, so I notified the landlord that they might want to remove them. But there are 5-6 more patio chairs of a different style, so there are plenty.
This is way better than most of the other VRBO's I've been at. I would definitely stay again.
