We had a great stay!. The place was very clean and well taken care of. The hosts were friendly and easy to communicate with.We also appreciated how welcoming it was for pets, which made our trip much easier.Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We’d definitely come back.
This was our 5th time staying at the Knoll. It never disappoints. Each year there are small upgrades (deck by the river, steps to the bank, AC, etc.). We look forward to returning again next year.
Had an awesome long weekend at The Knoll. The house was perfect. Cozy, clean and very welcoming. The deck on the river was great to sit and take in the view. Got to see the bald eagle who lives across the river. Sitting on the couch watching the fire was a great time. A perfect weekend.
We had a wonderful time at The Knoll! This was the first house I've rented that felt like a home. Real people live here. It has plenty of blankets, pillows, box fans, etc. The kitchen is fully equipped. We loved it. We lost electricity for 12 hours while we were there and the owner offered to refund us, but luckily it came back on and we were able to stay. My kids all want to go back soon.
The host was very welcoming and accommodating! The house was great. We really enjoyed the fireplace and how cozy the house was. We celebrated Thanksgiving and had everything we needed in the kitchen!

Amazing cabin trip with the family! We will definitely be back to this place!
We had a lovely time at this beautiful home surrounded by nature. It is so peaceful. We saw several bald eagles down by the river, and hummingbirds, chipmunks, and even a black rat snake crawl down from a tree on the property. We can’t wait to come back again!
The cabin was a great getaway. I love that they supplied fire wood for the fireplace. It's definitely off the beaten path with a great view. We would definitely stay there again.
House was lovely. Rustic, yet very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. There was a very short walk to the river with a beautiful deck for watching the birds and eagles. We enjoyed it and will hopefully return again!
Thank you Liz. We adored every minute. Love your home and the trails to the river. Our kids enjoyed the tree house and rope swing cant wait to come back!!

About the host
Hosted by Liz Heinzel-Nelson
We have been hosting guests since 2009. The Knoll is a unique cabin and the Delaware River is a gorgeous spot that we want to share with others.
Why they chose this property
As soon as we drove the dirt road to look at the cabin, we had a feeling, this is what we have been searching for. The cabin sits on the Delaware River, beautiful in any season. It is so remote, quiet - a true get-away.
What makes this property unique
The rockers on the front porch offer hours of reading or deep discussions over a cup of coffee and a glass of wine. The deck remains our favorite, looking over the river where a couple of bald eagles are nesting. The crystal clear river offers swimming, fishing, canoeing and kayaking, or simply some old fashioned rock skipping. The area is quiet and there is much nature to observe. The cabin is quaint, charming and has everything you need.
