The property was wonderful! It was spotless, nicely renovated/decorated, very comfortable, and in a peaceful, scenic area. We were able to get a lot of hiking and sightseeing in as we were just a short drive to the areas we wanted to visit. The host is great to work with - I not only recommend the property and host but hope to stay there again.

We had a multi-generational family group - 4 adults a 4-year old child. This property offered everything we needed to make our fall foliage trip to Acadia National Park comfortable, pleasant, and memorable. Grocery stores and gas stations were close and convenient. Great casual restaurants with fresh amazing lobster were close and accessible. 30 minute or so drive to Bar Harbor.

A wonderful cottage— perfect for our family of 5. A lovely spot on the water. A bit of a drive from Bar Harbor and many of the Acadia attractions but worth it for the quiet and charm of Bass Harbor.

Beautiful tranquil location with low traffic. Kitchen well stocked for cooking and meal service. Comfortable bed with extra bedding and plenty of towels. Host is a great communicator! If any in your party have mobility issues, note that king bed is upstairs in loft room and bathroom en-suite has narrow passage and low ceiling. Great place for us and will return!

This is a lovely property! The landscaping is beautiful, it has a beautiful view of the water and we loved staying here. It is very clean, and has a great grill and kitchen. It has three lovely bedrooms but it doesn’t have a ton of indoor common space. It worked really well for us. It is close to good restaurants and Acadia. We will definitely be back.

Great location overlooking the harbor. Easy to get around the island and very close to the Bass Harbor lighthouse. Beautifully maintained yard with a very short walk to the seating area by the water. Beds were comfy enough. Did not use the shower off master bedroom as we are a family of tall people. The 1st floor bathroom worked for us. The kitchen has the basics. We split our time with cooking and going out to eat. It was nice to be able to relax outside on the deck while enjoying our meal and the view.

We had a great stay and really enjoyed the house. It was comfortable, well equipped, and a great home base for exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia.The only downside was the 9:00 a.m. checkout. While checkout tasks like starting the dishwasher and taking out the trash are understandable, having to also strip the beds and start a load of sheets made such an early checkout feel rushed. A 10:00 or 11:00 a.m. checkout would have made the departure much more comfortable.Overall, the house itself was great and we really enjoyed our stay!

We had a lovely stay! Everything was clean and well-stocked. There are a few hikes and sights nearby as well has places to get groceries and the like. Acadia National Park is a quick car trip away. We enjoyed the sunset from the backyard. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Stay

My family booked this home for a few days during our vacation in Acadia National Park. The home was exactly as described, and everything about the stay was perfect. The home was clean, comfortable, accommodating, and in a beautiful location. We wish we could have stayed longer!
