Secluded Getaway with Hot Tub, Private Beach, Game Room

Glenn Haven Getaway is a  beautiful 4-bedroom home, with a secluded, wooded backyard, a short walk to our Private Beach and nestled conveniently between downtown South Haven, Douglas and Saugatuck, MI. 

This luxury home sleeps 10 (6 beds) and has wonderful gathering spaces both indoors and outdoors for your entire family including a hot tub and game room. Wake up and enjoy breakfast and fresh coffee from our coffee bar while watching deer cross in your wooded backyard before you head over to our private beach to explore the dunes, driftwood, beach stones and waves.

Lunch and dinner can be hosted inside, or al fresco on the front or back patio with a propane grill and fully stocked kitchen at your service. After you’ve enjoyed the perfect Lake Michigan sunset, you can snuggle up to the fire pit and test your own s’mores recipe under a sea of stars—firewood and Adirondack chairs included.  Even with rain, you can enjoy the outdoors on the covered front porch on our conversational patio furniture set complete with fire table.  The home comes fully equipped with pots, pans, bowls, utensils, glassware, dishes, silverware, linens, bath and hand towels, washcloths, and soap.  Starter packs of shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, paper towels, and dish soap are also provided. All rooms are completely furnished and brand new bedding and pillows are provided. Streaming services are available, as well as a plethora of books for the avid waterside reader as well as board games, and puzzles in addition to our new Game Room with Foosball Table and Arcade.   Outdoor entertainment includes basketball, disc golf, and cornhole as well as tennis/pickle ball court around the corner within the association. A professional (Covid-compliant) cleaning is included in every rental package. There are two (2) full bathrooms indoors (one on each level), as well as an additional outdoor shower for those who may want to remove sand after beach visits. A new EV Charger is available for guests arriving with electric vehicles.  Details about each bedroom are below to help you plan for your group.

- Swimming at the private beach is at your own risk. Life Jackets and water shoes are recommended.  Please pack your own beach towels. Condition of beach is subject to acts of nature and is not guaranteed.

- The smart TV has access to Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and Amazon Prime.

- Hot Tub Spa capacity 7 people. Children must be supervised at all times.  Please rinse before entering and avoid soaps and lotions in the spa.  $150 additional cleaning fee if spa needs draining and cleaning from dirt or suds.  Use at your own risk.

Great communication. Access to private beach was wonderful! It was cold, but we had the beach to ourselves to explore! Quiet neighborhood yet very close to downtown South Haven and our favorite restaurant Clementines. Husband loved the game room and many deer in the yard.

Easy walk to the beach

We stayed with friends (and our kids) for New Years and really enjoyed this place. The neighborhood is great to walk around and an easy trip down to the beach, or just an overlook to see the lake. The kids loved all the ice at the beach and we would definitely like to stay again in the summer.

We truly enjoyed our time at Glenn Haven. The gated community gave us a real sense of security, and the beach was great. We could tell the owner tried to think of everything that could make our stay enjoyable and comfortable.

We had a nice time staying here. It was just a few minutes from downtown South Haven. The home is up to date. My grandson loved seeing the deer in the backyard every night.

Beautiful home in Grand Haven

The house was very clean! There was also a large backyard to hang out. Unfortunately, due to the weather we weren’t outside but there was a hot tub and fire pit as an added bonus. The owner was very accommodating, answered questions promptly, very knowledgeable of the area and offered recommendations to explore nearby. The welcome basket was very sweet and a nice added touch to the stay. I’d definitely stay again.

Great place for 2 families

So much to do in the gated neighborhood. We walked to the large private beach (plenty of sand) and enjoyed the huge backyard, complete with frisbee golf. The house itself was wonderful. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with what we needed. The hot tub was enjoyed. There is a great Dutch Farm Market nearby with all kinds of produce, ice cream and baked goods. Overall a lovely place without any drawbacks!

Exceeds expectations

We stayed here for 3 nights, 10 people with children. We were very impressed with each room, area outside, attention to every detail. The house was tidy, had every appliance needed. There were plenty of outdoor and indoor activities for both children and adults. We were very lucky with the weather, so stayed outdoors a lot, therefore had a chance to watch some little animals visiting the area. The private beach is very close. The communication with Katherine was great. We loved the stay and would recommend it to everyone.

Wonderful Home

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home setting. Everyone appreciated the labeling, instructions and organization of things in the house. The favorite by everyone was the easy access of the private beach. We elected to really go to no others for our beach time. We had 7 adults and one 7 year old. The dining table was great for eating and playing games. We had two disc golf nuts who loved just being able to pop out and throwfor a bit. Since Glen Haven was in between Saugutak and South Haven, we could easily go either way in a short drive to see food, libations, other fun and shopping. As a recomendation, my 32 yr old son has disabiities and would have benefited from a grab bar in the shower. Since hehas balance and walking issues, we had him stay in the BR downstairs with the bath. Had trouble getting in and out by himself. Thanks for thebeautiful and wonderful vacation.

A restful Thanksgiving getaway...

Our family stayed for several days in November over Thanksgiving. The house was spotless and there was more than enough space for the 5 of us to spread out while we were there. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a full Thanksgiving dinner and the dishwasher made clean-up a snap. We thoroughly enjoyed conversing in the hot tub and the kids liked watching movies and shooting hoops in the driveway. We all took several short walks to the beach to watch the sunset over Lake Michigan and for beachcombing for rocks and sea-glass. This house was comfortable, clean, and very well-stocked. The owners had compiled quite a neat and comprehensive binder of local trips, tips, restaurants, and general info/suggestions that we found most helpful. We'd stay here again for sure!

A hidden GEM!!

Easy check-in/out process. Nice private area with its own beach access. Clean, comfy, and homey. Low water pressure meant that you could only have 1 water source on at a time (dishwasher, shower, hose, etc). Because you had to shower one at a time, it took the 7 of us in our party over an hour for everyone to have a turn. Conveniently located with access to nearby cities. Spotty cell service in the area. Gated community feels safe. Nice sitting areas inside/outside for larger groups. Peaceful setting with groundhogs, bunnies, and a deer family. Owner provides extensive listing of nearby restaurants, shopping, and things to do! Overall a great experience and one our family thoroughly enjoyed!

FANTASTIC place!

This is a wonderful get away location. Home is incredible with everything you'd need and then some. Great location as well making it easy to get to lots of fun things to do. Enjoyed the beach access as well. Would recommend this location to anyone and everyone!
