The property is in a rural setting along the water. It is quiet and beautiful. The owners were out of the country but responded quickly with any questions. Would recommend this place to friends traveling to the area.
Beautiful place right on the water. Had deer in the yard every day. The house is outfitted with everything you could want. Get view of Bar Harbor across the sound.
We had an excellent stay! This home is a gem surrounded by beautiful views. It was also generously stocked with many convenient items. The owners have really put thought into making it a comfortable stay. The house was perfect for relaxing on the deck, overlooking the water and a great place to return after long days in Acadia National Park.
Great property! Serene environment with beautiful views. The house had everything you need to cook and enjoy meals at home. Easy communication with host. Accurate distances to Bar Harbor and surrounding areas. It’s a bit of a drive but worth it for the waterfront property.
First VRBO that we stayed in where we were 100% satisfied. House was clean. Owner left us lots of information along with explanations on how to work things. Views were amazing. We highly recommend
This place was amazing! We enjoyed watching seals catch and eat fish from our view off the deck. Nice location. Well-stocked kitchen. Our family of eight had a very memorable stay. Our daughter and her boyfriend got engaged right on the beach! Even saw some shooting stars our final night. Highly recommend!
My family and I stayed here for a trip to Acadia national park. The house was clean, in great condition and the hosts had thought of everything one may need for a Maine vacation (including tools for lobster bakes!). The views off the back porch were spectacular and we really enjoyed the fire pit and beach in the backyard. It is a bit of a drive to Acadia (30-45 min) depending on where you go in the park, but to stay waterfront was really worth it. The hosts were responsive and very helpful. Would stay here again if we visit again!
The property was very impressive and very clean. The host and property management company did a great job and we’re very helpful. We would love to stay there again. Thanks!

Thank you so much! Happy customers are what we strive for! :)
Absolutely stunning property. House was lovely, spacious and beautifully decorated. Views are out of this world. We loved watching seals with the binoculars and also watching the lobster boats come by every morning to reset their traps. Owners have thought of every detail to make your stay comfortable and convenient. A bit of a far drive if you are heading to Acadia every day, but the place was worth the drive.
Perfect place for my family and I to enjoy a few relaxing days before dropping our daughter off at summer camp. The waterfront views are breathtaking. I appreciated the kitchen being fully equipped with anything you would need and the comfortable beds & linens. We will definitely be back!
We cannot say enough good things about our time here - the property is well cared for, the scenery is stunning, the home is comfortable and well-equipped, the owners are super helpful and responsive… In sum, we were spoiled on this, our first trip to Maine, and would happily stay here again in the future!
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. Our grandchildren loved playing on the beach. We had 4 adults and 4 children and the house was perfect for our group. Close to Bar Harbor and to Acadia National Park. Communication with the Property Manager was quick and easy. Check in process was very easy. Highly recommend this home for your vacation stay in Maine!
The house was exactly what we wanted and even better. I don't like being in middle of tourist areas so we wanted to stay near Bar Harbor but not in the village, and near Acadia. This private, luxury home was that, with the views of Acadia from the decks. It had each amenity we needed, and we enjoyed walking the private beach each morning and evening before our daily excursions. It was the perfect anchor spot for our first-ever visit to Maine.
This property is beautiful! The house was very clean and very well kept. The furnishings and amenities were beautiful. We had a wonderful stay at this home. Close enough to Bar Harbor and to Acadia National Park for ease of travel without being too close. Communication with the Property Manager was fantastic. Check in process was very easy. Highly recommend this home for your vacation stay in Maine!
We absolutely loved staying at this property. Even though it is about 40 min from inside the national park it was still worth the drive to be able to sit on the deck to peace and quiet. The beds were very comfy and bedding great! My kids loved this house!! Everything was new!! My only minor issue with property was basement door needs a deadbolt dunces it’s right by the kid room. We would stay here again. The owners are very responsive and I wouldn’t think twice about renting from them again.

Thank you Katie! It was a pleasure talking with you during your stay. I am headed up there on Tuesday to do a few things including installing a deadbolt on the basement door! 🙂. Hope to see you again some day!
The location is beautiful, the house was spectacularly clean, and the host was an excellent communicator!! They have a binder in the kitchen that answers any questions you might have about the house (e.g. WiFi, how to work heating/air conditioning) and it gives information and recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area! I had a problem with my maps when first trying to get the house, but they were available right away to help. We didn’t have any other issues, but it was comforting to know they were available by phone/text should we need anything. Our family, (older parents, myself and my husband, and our son) all had a wonderful stay. This house is perfect for all ages, if you’re looking for a quiet stay near Bar Harbor. Would totally recommend and would definitely visit again!
My husband and I stayed at this property for five nights. The check-in process was easy. The owners were gracious and attentive. The property was just as described in the listing and in the pictures. It is perfectly situated near Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park and within a relatively short drive to other many coastal towns. It was well equipped. Immaculately clean. The view was absolutely amazing. From the deck you can see the lights of Bar Harbor at night on a clear evening and Acadia National Parks Cadillac mountain in the distance on clear days. We enjoyed watching the many birds such as loons and seagulls feasting in the waters on the beach. No noise but the wind and the lapping of the waves. We will definitely go back!

Thank you Danny! You were wonderful guests, and we'd love to have you back any time!
What a lovely home! The owners put so many thoughtful touches into it: small motion-activated night lights in each room, ample velvet-covered hangers, reusable bags, pens and pencils etc., multiple charging stations for devices, dimmers on several light switches, pillows on deck furniture, extra blankets, plush towels with ample towel bars, space heaters, laundry and dishwasher detergent, high-power binoculars on a tripod, space to unpack in closets and dressers and bathrooms, room-darkening shades in the bedrooms, helpful signs and information book, complimentary blueberry jam...The home was very clean, has beautiful water views, a remote-control fireplace, tasteful decor, high-quality dishes and silverware, comfortable furniture and beds... We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We loved reading and listening to the gentle ocean waves in the afternoon shade on the deck and watching the sunrise in the morning It is about a 30 minute drive to Hulls Cove Visitor's Center. About 5 minutes away is Maine Sweet and Wild where you can buy fresh wild Maine blueberries - a great find.
My family and I (5 adults/2 teens) enjoyed our stay on the water very much. Weather was very warm and muggy most of the week, so we were greatful for air conditioning. Kitchen offered all the amenities we needed. The home is very clean, bright and spacious for 7 people. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck day and night, watching the birds, squirrels, jumping fish and bright stars. The binoculars and telescope were great for viewing all the wildlife, boats and terrain. We played cornhole and used the fire pit several nights. We had absolutely no issues and did not have to contact the property manager for anything! Thank you for a great get-away week!
The house is in a great spot. Close enough to Acadia and all the Harbors of Mt. Desert Island that a 20 to 30 minute ride gets you to most scenic places. The house is clean and comfortable and access to the water is fantastic. The kitchen is setup nicely. We concur with a previous review that fruit flies were odly present. The house needs a comfy furniture set for the deck and a proper gas grill and coffee pot. The area is residential making a walk or bike ride on quiet roads seem safe. The open concept of the house let's noise from the 1st and 2nd floors travel clearly. The bunk beds need an upgrade of the mattresses.

Hi Dan. Thank you for your feedback. We would like to address your concerns.
1. Coffee Pot: That is a very good idea. We thought that a Keurig would be the best option but realize some guests prefer a full pot. One is currently on the way!
2. Bunk bed mattresses: Both the beds and mattresses are just two years old. We will definitely access the mattresses. As with all bunk beds, we are limited on options as there is a roll-off safety risk if the mattresses are higher than the guard rail on the top and there is limited headroom on the bottom.
3. Fruit flies: We are sorry you had issues with these. Since we have a septic system, we cannot have a garbage disposal in the kitchen sink. If food is put down the drain, this can be a problem. If you would have let us know about the issue, we could have had it immediately resolved. Our caretakers are on call 24/7 and would have been right there to address. There are also some remedies at the property you could have used had we known.
4. Deck furniture: We are planning to replace the deck furniture during the off season. Unfortunately, due to the deck not being covered, cushions are not practical because they get soaked in the rain and will mold very quickly. Thank you for your comment and we will keep that in mind when selecting our new pieces.
5. Gas Grill: We have had several issues with the grill being left out in the unusual amount of rain this summer, which resulted in some rusting. We did offer to get one delivered for you, but you said, ‘no worries, we will be fine’. This may be one feature that is not practical to offer because of the weather and the property being a rental/not being occupied 24/7. We will also access this when we arrive next week.
My family can't say enough good things about this property and it's owners.
Location is perfect! Less than 30 minutes to Bar Harbor.
Views are absolutely AMAZING! Honestly, the views are something out of a book. There are homes to the right of the house, yet still there is a complete level of privacy. To the left there are also homes, but they are separated by wooded trees and a babbling brook.
The home itself is tastefully decorated and every little detail has been thought of and taken care of. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for 7 people in my family
To top it all off, the owners were responsive to any questions we had and provided us with A+ service.
If there's any hesitation to book this home, please go ahead and book it. You won't be disappointed. One of the nicest homes we have every stayed in.
My husband and I had the most lovely, relaxing vacation at this beautiful home in Lamoine. The views from every window of Fisherman's Bay and Acadia National Park in the background are stunning. The home feels completely new with a great kitchen overlooking the dining area and the water. We enjoyed lounging on the deck with our coffee every morning as well as sitting at the firepit. The house is decorated so nicely. Everything feels crisp and new with soft, relaxing beach house colors. The beds are very comfortable and the primary bedroom has a juliet balcony with chairs where you can sit and gaze out over the tranquil water. We rented kayaks that were delivered to the house and enjoyed the experience of the Maine shoreline from the water. Be careful to go out at high or slack tide though! We feel so fortunate to have found this delightful home in such a perfect and quiet location. The owners were so helpful leading up to our arrival and everything went so smoothly, we didn't have to contact them again. You will enjoy every moment in this beautiful location surrounded by the famed Maine woods and the sparkling sea.
I grew up in Maine and was excited to purchase this beautiful home as we look to retire here in just a few years. We have two grown boys, one is Seattle and the other at college. We can't wait to spend our first Maine Thanksgiving all together here this year.
Why they chose this property
The views! Love watching the lobster boats check their traps, the seagulls scouting about, and the loons and seals right in front of our deck! Also convenient to major retail in Ellsworth and the best lobster roll evah!
What makes this property unique
We are outdoorsy people and what more could you ask for less than 1/2 hour to Acadia and 2 hours to Baxter State Park!
