We had a large group for the solar eclipse; we loved the house- so many sitting areas and places to spread out. The basement and downstairs patio were a hit with the kids. Kitchen was well stocked and had pretty much everything we needed. One bummer was that both the downstairs futon and the air mattress were broken so we had to scramble some new sleeping arrangements. Overall a great experience.

Nice setup & convenient
This place was huge! Very nice layout and convenient boat dock. The reason I gave three stars was because we had to take spider webs off outdoor chairs and tables, dishes were dirty, and some things broken. Boat dock had empty beer cans and canoe had no paddle.

Linda, thank you for your review. Part of the awe of lakehouse living is being more secluded and out in the country. This comes with all sorts of wildlife visitors (deer, fox, etc.) and this includes spiders as well. The house was cleaned prior to your arrival, but we cannot stop a few spider from spinning their webs overnight. As for the boat dock with empty beer cans, you told me you discovered one can in the corner of the shed underneath a float. Sorry we missed that one! The canoe is not for guest use so we do not leave the paddle available for our guests. I’m glad that you otherwise enjoyed your stay.

Relaxing family get-away
Great location, nice roomy house, with a gorgeous view. As compared to other premier properties that we have stayed at, this one had a lot of rules for the renter (we have never had to strip all beds and wash and put away all dishes prior to checkout, especially with such an early checkout), while not as much attention to the details given by the host (no trash bags, no extra toilet paper, broken coffee maker, no extra blankets, slippery shower floor).
We were a group of 14 (10 adults and 4 kids) and the property had enough rooms/bed to accommodate all of us. It was very clean and well kept! The kitchen had all the necessary utensils and additional amenities as well. The location was by the Colorado river and the sight was amazing throughout the day, not to forget we also enjoyed the view of one very foggy morning which was so scenic! Our kids enjoyed the foosball and the gaming console in the media room and they had a blast.
We will definitely come back next year.
A big thanks to the Rachel who was very prompt in responding to any questions we had.

Great Lake property!
My family and I chose Briarcliff for the location off of the lake and the size to accommodate all family members. We had an amazing stay overall after cleaning the property to our comfort level. Communication with the owner was a breeze and hope that the house had been prepped and cleaned thoroughly for the next guest.
Our family consisted of elderly so they were not able to enjoy the dock due to the steepness but was able to relax in the comfort of the beautiful home.
Note: Take pictures and send any issues before getting settled in the property.
The property is beautiful, but it can improve on cleanliness and organization. The linen closet is a mess and it was difficult to find the right sheets for the downstairs beds. The futon was broken. For this size house it would be a good idea to have better sleeping options than inflatable mattresses in the game room. The 450 cleaning fee seems very high for how the property is maintained.
Overall this house is a beautiful, spacious place to gather with family and friends. There is room for everyone in this home! The kitchen comes loaded with amenities to cook all day! Which was a great feature when cooking for large groups! Our only set back were a few spider webs in the home and downstairs outside patio areas and the hot water was not working in the Master Bedroom Shower. Other than that, we would definitely rent again and recommend to family and friends! Host was always quick to respond to any questions and provide answers to our questions!
This house is beautiful on the inside. The outside is not kept up. Outdoor furniture needs attention. The deck is not the most stable. Some of the railing leading to the lake is missing and some is very loose. That is a hazard. It also says that there are 2 queen beds in one of the rooms. That is untrue. Lastly, the very lower level carpet was damp. I also found cereal and snacks under the couch cushions. The chairs around the table are also uncomfortable.
The house had more than enough space for our group of 10. The layout of the home is really cool with a basement area, media room a deck that wraps all the way around and access to the lake. My girls and their friends spent entire days swimming off the dock. We did a lot of cooking - the kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans and anything else we needed. There were plenty of beds, lots of bathrooms, everything was clean. We would stay here again, it was a lot of fun!
Such a beautiful neighborhood with access to Lake Travis! Very quiet and peaceful. The house is awesome, very large, it is older but well built and a very cool house design.
Great location if you have a boat. Lake was low so about 120 steps down to dock. Briarcliff Marina is right around the corner, service was excellent and friendly. It was 102 degrees for a few days, so AC was working hard. Plenty of room and amenities.
We had a lovely time. The views were incredible. The location is perfect for those who want to have direct lake access. The house had a fun game/tv room in the basement which entertained our kids. We would definitely stay here again.
Great house with great views of lake Travis. Entertaining space was perfect!
Bedrooms and bathrooms as noted, plenty of parking, well-equipped kitchen, and great decks. Only minor thing was that we expected to be able to use the boat dock for our boats, but there was already a boat stored there, so we improvised! The stairs to the lake are steep and long, and there’s no handrails in one section (just an fyi for anyone with mobility concerns). Rachel is responsive and helpful!
The views were wonderful! The house was perfect for our family to spread out! Lots of room! The kitchen had everything plus more for us to cook and enjoy our Thanksgiving meal! We enjoyed our visit!!
Great property! House was more then big enough for our group, and even though this house has an older feel we enjoyed the classic lake house vibe, and felt comfortable in its quirkyness! Boat dock was perfect, boat lift was easy, and the lily pad was the icing on top! The porches and boat dock made this one of the best vacations spots we have stayed! Bathrooms and showers were the only negatives and the bottom (basement?) had a foul smell.
Our stay was one of the best vacation stays we have ever had experience with. The house was very well stocked with everything from towels to linens to spices in the kitchen cabinets :) There was ample room to spread out for everyone. The house has sound systems on two separate floors and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy all the spectacular views from their property… we will definitely be returning !
Great place to spend some family time. Plenty of water activities. Property well kept and equipped as well as my home. Bring your food, drinks, and swim suits! At night, the large entertainment area was great to watch our movies and/or just sit around comfortably to visit. A/C kept everything cool during the summer heat. Will return!
All of the rooms in this house are oversized, even the bathrooms! The kitchen has ample supplies available. The property manager is quick to respond, even over a holiday weekend. We loved the place, and just think they had bad renters before us! Upon arrival, there was a musty odor that we thought was coming from downstairs. Once we turned down the air conditioner, we realized it was pet urine. On our last afternoon, I tried to cozy up with a book and had to move to different chairs 3 times because the odor was so strong! Previous renters had not taken out trash and bins were completely full so we had nowhere to put our trash. One shower handle was completely broken and it appeared previous renters had moved wires in the media room, as we could not get that TV to work. Ample supplies available in dock closet, yet renters had just piled everything up in a huge mess! It's a gorgeous property, huge, in a great location. You can easily rent a boat from the marina and use their dock. We really hope to return, but want to be honest about the condition of the home. We hope they are able to fix the pet odor damage so we can come back!

Why they chose this property
We love this lake house because of the amount of people it can accomodate, while still having room to breathe. The multi-level house allows for fun and games on the lower level, cooking and chatting on the upper level, and tons of space to relax on the decks. Our family has enjoyed many special weekends here at Longhorn Lodge.
What makes this property unique
Incredible sunset views. Privacy of being in a cove with no wake zone. Immediate views and access to the massive parts of Lake Travis, with all the fun activity going on. Enjoying a quiet cove while at the same time watching the skiers, wake boarders and surfers, tubers, and everyone else enjoy the main part of the lake.
