This house is perfect! The top deck was our favorite—amazing views of the water and the sunset. More than enough space for us. We loved it!

Girls beach weekend

We have been staying at this house for four years now it is our annual beach weekend trip for girlfriends. We have been happy every time we have been in the house. The owner is so accommodating and the house is beautiful and clean.

Great vacation rental

The beach house was wonderful and just as described. We enjoyed hanging out on all three outdoor levels of the house. The third floor balcony had amazing views and we loved watching the pelicans fly over. The house instructions were thorough and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could imagine needing for preparing meals. The host Julia was so kind and responsive to all of our inquiries and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. The house was also fully stocked with games, beach toys/chairs, and beach towels. You will not be disappointed if you stay here! Thanks again for everything Julia!

Fantastic property in a great location

Our extended family, 5 in total stayed at the Blue Pelican for the long Easter weekend. The house was even nicer than the photos and we were happily surprised to find a well outfitted kitchen and pantry. The large deck with beautiful ocean views were the highlight. We can't wait to come back! I wish I could give Julia an extra star for communication and making the check0in as easy as possible. It was the best experience I've had with a VRBO property.

Beautiful House

We had a wonderful girls trip with 3 adults & 3 teens. The house had everything we needed for a quick getaway. The outdoor spaces were nice and the neighborhood was really quiet… even during spring break week! The beach towels and chairs were a nice bonus that saved us some space with packing. Would definitely stay here again.

Annual family trip

The house was decorated beautifully, superbly equipped with everything you need and a wonderful location! All of us in our party had a blast for the 3 nights we stayed there. It was really great. Homeowner was super easy to communicate with throughout the entire process.

Perfect Labor Day weekend

The house is perfect for a 2 or 3 night stay on the beach in Galveston. Easy walk to set up tents on the beach in the morning. Great views of the water from both decks. Owner has thought of everything and its great to actually have supplies at the house vs having to bring it all. We had a 2 families with a mix of ages (2,4,7, 10, and 12) and the layout was great for us. We will be back.

Amazing views

We loved being so close to the beach and having wonderful views from the house. The beds were comfortable, and there is an abundance of seating on the two deck levels and under the house. The retractable child safety gates on the interior stairs were a very welcome feature as we have a newly walking one-year-old. We would definitely choose this house again in the future.

Our Stay at The Blue Pelican

This was a lovely home and there was very little to complain about……2-3 minor issues and the owner was very prompt to respond to help us resolve them. Not front row beach, but only a very brief walk to a beautiful and well kept beachfront that was never crowded. Our 2 grandkids loved everything about this place. We would definitely consider renting it again on our return to Galveston.

Relaxing and Convenient. Great Family Vacation!

My family of six just loved the Blue Pelican. It was so convenient to walk to the beach and the outside sitting areas provided views, shade and relaxation. My children range from 1.5 to 15 years and the house accommodated each. This is my first ever rental that had every possible thing we needed. Plenty of room to hang out socially and to get away for some alone time. I can't wait to re-book.

Exceeded our Expectations!!

Our stay at Pirate’s Beach absolutely exceeded our expectations. The photos aren’t able to show how very convenient this house is to the beach. The open deck on the top level will not only give you a wonderful view, the stars at night are so expansive it is a perfect way to end the day. As for the house and everything you need in the kitchen and baths? I’ve not been in a house that was this accommodating. Julia thought of everything. It shows that cares as much about the conveniences for her guests as she would her own family. Often it is the little things that make a difference. Like, hooks on tne back of the doors in bedroom and bathroom, extra supplies like sponges, paper towels, and lots of seating. She checked all of those boxes. You can see the beach throughout the house. I would recommend the morning people sleep upstairs. Lots of windows, beautiful, let’s lots of light into the main part of the bedroom which I loved in the morning. The trundle bed area upstairs is darker. The bedrooms downstairs are perfect. Those two rooms only share a shower and plenty of light for putting makeup on. Yay! Lastly, Julia was amazing to work with. Very responsive and helpful. Our family loved this house and we will be back!!

The Best family house in Pirates beach!!

We loved The Blue Pelican house! The kitchen & bathrooms were fully stocked and nicely updated! Lots of outdoor seating, shower, beach stuff to use. The owner really didn’t miss a thing on this house. We had two adult children that shared the lower bathroom and Mom & Dad took the upstairs. I’d love to come back when the weather is cooler as we went in June. The upstairs bedroom has a fireplace! We will be back! Five stars!!!!

Girls Beach Week

We loved staying at the Blue Pelican. Perfect location with tons of space, inside and outside with large decks, in a beautiful home. Felt like a home away from home with everything that we needed for an incredible week of vacation.

Repeat Visit to Lovely Beach House ❤️

Our 2nd spring trip to Blue Pelican was just as amazing as our 1st one last Sept. Perfect location, literally steps to beach. We were so excited to return & to enjoy all the great amenities this property offers! Such lovely decor, well-appointed & clean, clean, clean! Owner very receptive to all communications. Amazing rental for a fun Texas beach vacation! ❤️
