We absolutely loved this quiet, beautifully rustic and very unique property. We ended every evening around the outdoor fire pit and enjoyed the views of the vineyard, majestic oak trees, and surrounding hillsides. From the patio area, my husband filmed a time laps of the clouds rolling down into the valley. Our magical mini 4 night, 5 day vacation was a family reunion of 20 people, with 3 different vacation rentals. The two other rentals were in Avila Beach proper, which offered convenience to restaurants and wine tasting rooms, but my siblings complained of noise and smaller homes. Our Avila Valley home was spacious and definitely the better peaceful quiet option for our group of 6 adults and 2 toddlers. Highlights of our stay included golf at Avila Beach golf course followed by outdoor concert and dinner at Mulligans, then karaoke at Mr Rick’s. Half day outing to SLO for breakfast at Louisa's and shopping, Kelsey See Winery, lunch on the 3rd Avila pier while watching sea otters and seal lions, then on to Pelaton wine tasting room. The Barn off highway 101 was perfect for our grandkids, and so was the aquarium in Avila Beach, where we met Mitch the octopus, and peanut butter and jelly ( male and female sharks) We ventured to SLO Ranch for lunch and to a great finale dinner at Oyster Loft in Pismo. So much to do, and great half way meeting point for our Bay Area family and our OC families. Lauren our host was a fantastic communicator and she made us feel very welcome.
