About this property

Blue Oasis at Douglas Lake

This quaint home is located in peaceful neighborhood next to Douglas Lake, 25 minutes from Pigeon Forge. It features a split bedroom plan, master has king bed, walk-in closet, TV, reading area and en suite bath with walk in shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed, TV, sunrise views, along with blackout curtains. A full kitchen compliments the open living area to encourage time together while cooking, eating, or just relaxing. The spacious deck has gorgeous views of the lake, mountains, and at night gaze at the stars,or turn on the lights and relax while having dinner.
Just a few minutes away from boat ramp, or boat rentals. There is room to park if you bring your own watercraft. Water levels are seasonal, check with TVA.
For the motorcycle enthusiasts, there are many different day rides within close proximity. Great Smoky Mountains Parkway is just a short drive away. Plenty of beautiful hiking trails to be found there as well. Want to shop your day away? Head into Pigeon Forge or Knoxville.
Have to work part of the day? Free Wi-fi and inside and outside tables assure that you can make that meeting and have a view. (We are not responsible if you are too busy enjoying the view to contribute to the meeting.)
Go out and seize the day, find the excitement, float on the water, or stay in and rest on the deck, it's all up to you.
Fully equipped kitchen allows you to prepare full meals and enjoy family time playing board games afterwards. Gently rolling hills in the neighborhood coupled with the sun setting on the lake make an evening stroll high on the list of relaxing things to do. ( The late fall sunsets are the BEST!)
The weather can vary greatly, please remember you are in the mountains. We have sun, rain, snow, and occasionally ice. IF it does snow, it is gorgeous, but there is a possibility you may need 4WD or AWD. If that may hinder you, I do suggest trip insurance. Much like the weatherman, I cannot predict when, where, or how much may land. In the summer, don't forget your sunscreen, glasses, and maybe a hat. It gets HOT!
For the safety of the property and guests, there is an exterior camera on front porch/parking areas pointed away from the house. It will only record video.

Loved seeing the deer that visited each morning. Appreciated the full kitchen with everything necessary for preparing meals in. Coffee on hand was so nice. The king bed is very comfortable.

Awesome vacation home.
It was perfect for two couples with a bedroom and bath on each end. We loved the deck looking out over the trees and seeing just a little of the lake. Everything was just as described and so comfortable, we felt right at home. Cleanliness couldn’t have been any better. Our host was excellent and so helpful. We will definitely be staying here again.

Couple's getaway
The property was beautiful..would have liked to enjoy the porch but it was too cold outside. A fire pit might be something to consider. It was nice to have music playing throughout the house. We were very comfortable relaxing there.

We will be back!
This property is exactly as advertised, and it’s great!! It’s very, very clean and well stocked with all that you’ll need. Decor is well done, very tasteful. We were busy being tourists abs didn’t get to enjoy the deck but we’ll be sure to the next time. We visited the Titanic Museum and enjoyed a meal at the Local Goat, close to the museum. The next day, off to Dollywood, and then we left. But the property is convenient to all of those activities. I was outside taking pictures and an older gentleman headed down the road stopped and chatted with me, a great neighbor to have. The host was super to work with and has “Alexa” well trained to help with many common tasks, I had fun with that! We come to TN 3-4 times per year so we will definitely be in touch again!

About the host

Hosted by Kimberly Conner

Host profile image
We are Kim and Charles. Both of us were raised in WNC about 20 miles from the state line. We both love being outdoors, anything with an engine, home projects, and our cat; Katse. (But not in that order)

Why they chose this property

When you walk in to the house, we want you to go "Oh!" in surprise. While it is a mobile home on the outside, we have tried to make it a welcoming place to relax, so your next words should be,"Ahhhhh". Located close enough to enjoy all of the hustle and bustle of the neighboring cities, but far enough away to wind down.
