It's English cottage furnishings made for a charming and relaxing visit. We enjoyed Andes Community Day and the sound of the rushing water to loll us to sleep. It was the perfect place for us to attend a family wedding.
Perfect home base during college drop off weekend. Rita's place is the best equipped apartment I have ever stayed in via VRBO. Everything was provided and easy to find. Very comfortable place to stay. Thanks Rita.

Jessica and her family were wonderful guests, very clean and tidy and great communicators. I would always welcome them to stay. Thank you for your visit.
Place was very nice except I think they should have some kind of hard written copy of the rules at the place and the cell phone coverage was pretty much nonexistent

Louis was one of the best guest I have ever hosted!!!! So lovely and polite and tidy - you would never know they stayed ! The absolute dream guest! Anyone would be so lucky to have them to stay . Thank you for your visit! I did email all of the information - but It seems you may not have received it?
We were in town for a wedding and the location couldn't have been better! Located right on Main Street, just a short walk to the venue but also some great coffee and breakfast at the Dragonfly in the morning and just a short drive to grocery and fun places to visit during our stay. Even recommended to the parents of the bride as they come for a long stay every fall. Communication was fabulous and instructions were clear and easy. 5 stars all the way!

Loved hosting you and your friends- so happy you also enjoyed Andes restaurants too. Thank you, do come again.
We stayed for only 2 nights but it was comfortable, clean and cozy! Just a warning for those with mobility issues--the stairs are steep. But other than that, super charming

I do have stairs and it is stated in the description as in photos showing them and it definitely says not suitable for accessibility. If anyone enquires with small children or older guests I am careful to bring it to their attention always.
Rita was very accommodating and easy to reach. She made the process very easy. The place was clean and comfy. The highlight was the backyard with the firepit and the sound of the stream running it. Overall, a very relaxing stay. I will be returning.

Destiny and her guests were excellent guests, great communication and very tidy and respectful- anyone would welcome them to their home anytime. Thank you for your visit. Do come again anytime.
Rita was the best host I’ve ever had! She made sure all of our needs were catered to and was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. Her recommendations helped us curate a perfect trip in the quaint town (even with it raining for more than half our stay 😢)! Her house was charming, clean, organized, and very welcoming. She had some board games and tons of movie to watch. We will definitely be coming again!
Extremely clean. As portrayed on VRBO. More utensils, dishes, coffee/espresso, small needs for kitchen&bathroom >details >etc. than most places.
Excellent & timely replies from host (Rita).
Master bed very comfy; kids complained about smaller beds being too firm.
Close to Main St. (+/- = convenience/noise).
Would book again for stay in Bovina Ctr.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL
My husband and I along with our daughters, son in law, and grandchild, had to attend a wedding in the Village of Andes. This was the absolute perfect location, within walking distance to our event, and quaint village shops. The apartment was spacious, tastefully decorated, and IMMACULATE.! We were so pleasantly surprised. The owner was lovely and very accommodating. If ever I need to travel there again, this is the only place to stay.

Relaxing by the stream, quaint friendly village.
We had a wonderful stay. Everything is within walking distance and the people are very friendly. The home is decorated nicely and was very clean with wonderful linens. We had a fire in the fire pit beside the stream one evening and stayed out until 10 PM! Enjoyed dinner on the front porch on the hotel - excellent food at reasonable prices. We came mid-week and most of the shops were only open on the weekend. One note - the steps are quite steep. We would love to come back in the Fall.

Dear Elaine,
You were the perfect guest, we loved having you to stay and would be delighted to have you back for the foliage.
Many thanks indeed.

This house was BEAUTIFUL, especially during the month of October when the leaves are changing. Rita was an extremely accommodating host, replying to any of my questions within 15 minutes. The house was adorable and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. The town is small but very nice to hop shop to shop during the day. There's local restaurants and we enjoyed karaoke night at the local tavern on Friday night! There are grocery stores and anything else within 15minutes of the house. The house has a little creek running in the backyard, and the fire pit is stocked and ready to go! I would be happy to stay here again.

Thank you Emily, you and your guests were a pleasure to host and perfect guests. I am so happy you were able to savor and enjoy the delights of our bucolic hamlet here in Andes. Many thanks for visiting.
There was a lot of things the bed sheet and comforter was dirty the home was on a need to know basis
I think that the property manager should be more up front with information as a neighbor had to let us in the front door and his comments was is it another of C shut shows

Response from VrboOwner on 8 June 2022
That is absolutely untrue!
These guests did not read any of the information on my listing nor any of the information I sent to them about the access, they didn’t respond to my emails, nor did they look at the photos which clearly shows the entrance at the back on the 2nd floor. I told them I was going to leave the door open and the key on the table inside (as it’s very safe here) to facilitate an easier access as they were arriving in the dark- not only did they not read my messages but they accused me of leaving the door open. My neighbor saw them shining a flashlight into the windows of the apartment on the ground floor downstairs front where someone lives and he came out to assist them- he said nothing of the sort to the guests except to offer to guide them to their entrance in the back on the house. In my 10 years of hosting I have used the same notes and correspondence and have never had an issue. Judge me from my past reviews and not from one bad set of guests.
The property was cozy, clean, tastefully decorated and had the sounds of a babbling brook on the property. Its up a steep flight of stairs. The kitchen is galley style so a bit narrow when you are cooking with your family. We found the rental well appointed with towels, soap, and info on local hikes and trails. The location was great for shopping or eating in a local restaurant. We visited a local farm and the local pool, all within walking distance. Recommended for those who like to have a little small town experience in their country getaway.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay it was relaxing and the property manager was very helpful.

It was a pleasure to host you and your lovely family, I am happy you enjoyed the property and all that Andes has to offer and the accessibility to the village.
Had a wonderful two-night stay in the last week of Aug 2020 with my family (4 adults plus two kids under 5). Rita the property manager was super responsive and accommodating from beginning to end. The place is clean, cozy, and comfortably housed all of us. Loved the quiet, the fresh air, and the babbling brook right outside.
The location is perfect, right on the main way of the village walkable to all local eateries, shops, etc. right down the street. Unfortunately for us, most were not really open due to COVID, but I can imagine how much more fun it would’ve been! We spent our time hiking the beautiful trails nearby, all within 5-10min drive.
Comfortable and cozy stay, charming village, beautiful scenery and views—we wish we could’ve stayed for longer!
My family and I tremendously enjoyed our stay at this quaint and peaceful home. We fell in love with the surroundings and loved every excursion.
Our host, Rita was nothing short of amazing. She was inviting, courteous and professional.
Thank you Rita for everything!!!!

About the host
Hosted by Rita
Originally from London, I fell in love with Andes because not only does it remind me of the English Countryside with it's hills , downs and streams but it is also charming in so many other ways and Andes and the neighbouring villages has an eclectic collection of the most wonderful and interesting people you would ever hope to meet anywhere.
Why they chose this property
We are right in the center of the tiny Hamlet, within walking distance from all shops and restaurants. Eliminating the need to drink & drive on your weekend away!
What makes this property unique
It can be scary staying on a seduced road in the country side but! At my place you have the sound of the stream running past the property, it's like being in the woods without all the bugs and wild animals and seclusion. Sitting by the firepit beside the stream in the evening, is just bliss!!! Breakfast and dinner on the porch with the views is magical too!!
