GREENWOOD VISTA - Escape to our modern mountain retreat nestled along the Blue Ridge mountains. Whether you want to explore Shenandoah National Park, visit wineries, or relax in our hot tub with stunning mountain views, this gorgeous A-Frame home is the perfect place for you.

We have thoughtfully appointed our home with everything you need to be comfortable. From a luxurious master suite, fully equipped kitchen, to coffee and wet bar, sauna, outdoor grill, billiard table, and a cozy fire pit.

THE SPACE

Our home is a spacious, bright modern A-Frame on 7+ acres with plenty of open space and spectacular views of the valley and mountains beyond. Two open balconies and outdoor patio with a firepit give plenty of opportunities for outdoor relaxation. A large, expansive porch with Adirondack chairs and daybed swing. Unwind in the six-person Sundance Optima hot tub with 47 hydrotherapy jets, various seat heights, mood lighting and Sonos sound system.

We have a brand new, luxurious, six-person Sundance Optima hot tub directly off our front porch featuring 47 message therapy jets, a variety of seat heights, lights and waterfall.

Enjoy ever-changing mountain views in the great room and master suite.

Step into our cozy sunken room, where a rustic stone wall and a wood-burning fireplace set the scene for relaxation. Sink into the comfort of our Natuzzi sectional leather sofa, enough seating for six, alongside a unique and reclaimed tree stump coffee table. Entertainment options here include an LG 55" OLED TV, Sonos sound system, Xbox Series X with Game Pass, Roku for streaming, and a connected Blu-ray/DVD player.

Our spacious primary suite features a king-sized bed, chaise lounge, huge walk-in shower, modern bidet with heated seat, private balcony, two-person sauna, and floor to ceiling windows. Two additional guest bedrooms each offer a queen-sized bed with memory foam mattresses. The shared guest bathroom also features a high-quality modern bidet with heated seat.

The loft recreation area features a billiard table, Smart TV, Xbox One S with Game Pass, Sonos sound system, and a dedicated desk and workstation area. Our workstation setup includes a Caldigit TS3 Plus dock, Logi webcam, Razer microphone, keyboard/mouse, and a 34" curved ultra-wide monitor. Bring your best vinyl records and relax in the office area with our new U-Turn Orbit turntable. We have Roku devices so you can easily sign-in to your own streaming accounts on both TVs. We store plenty of DVDs at the house and our local Plex media server has our collection of 350+ movies included.

The kitchen features all new amenities and appliances, a stocked pantry, baking dishes, KitchenAid mixer, new pots and pans, dishes, utensils, and quality chef knives. Next to the kitchen is our coffee and wet bar, with a separate wine + beverage fridge. Coffee bar features a smart, burr grinder, French press, Nespresso machine with frother, and a Moccamaster drip coffee machine. Make lattes, flat whites, and cappuccinos from the house! We provide guests with fresh coffee beans from a local roaster and plenty of Nespresso capsules.

Walk outside to the side yard and paved patio with a built-in gas fire pit. With just the push of a button, you’ll have instant flames - no wood, no mess, just relaxation under the stars. This newer fire feature is surrounded with a stone seating wall and six Adirondack chairs. Patio also features an outdoor dining set.

On the back porch, we have a 3 burner Weber Genesis gas grill with a sear station and grill utensils.

In the garage, we are setup for EV car charging with a dedicated Tesla wall charger and a NEMA 14-50 outlet on a 50Amp circuit for other EVs. Use of our washer and dryer is allowed and we provide Tide pods for detergent.

Enjoy peace of mind during your stay—our home is equipped with a whole-house backup generator to ensure uninterrupted power, even during outages.

Please make sure you read through the entirety of our listing before booking, including the house rules section. Note that our home is not suitable or safe for very young children and designed and set up with only adults in mind.

GUEST ACCESS

You'll be able to use the entire home, including use of our washer and dryer in the garage if needed. Please note the garage is not a living space nor is it an interior part of the home. No access to the attic.

THINGS TO NOTE

We designed our home for only adults with no more than six (6) guests. DO NOT bring more than six (6) guests to our house - you will be asked to leave and your stay will not be refunded. There are many other homes in the area that can accommodate groups more than six (6) guests, but our home is not one of them. Because we do not allow outside visitors, this means our home should never have more than six (6) max persons. Please respect this rule as we do not make exceptions to the maximum number of people at our home.

Use of the hot tub and/or sauna requires each guest to sign the liability waiver for use. We must have this signed per our insurance requirements. Please review and sign within 48-hours of booking (during your free cancellation window).

WINTER NOTE: Our driveway is approximately 3/10 mile long but is steep in parts. In the event of snow and/or icy conditions, it may be recommended to park at the bottom of our driveway in order to safely arrive/depart from our home. We do recommend vehicles capable of driving in snow and/or icy conditions. If serious winter conditions are expected, we'll give you the option to end your stay early at our discretion, allowing you to safely depart, and we will refund the unused nights.

YARD MAINTENANCE: In the spring/summer/early fall season we have regular yard maintenance performed, including mowing of the field and the grass around the house. Typically, this is performed bi-weekly, but due to variables such as rainy weather, we may not always know the exact date the service will be performed.

POWER OUTAGES: We have a whole home backup power generator. It is on an automatic transfer switch - it will turn on automatically during a power outage. Use of the car charger, sauna, hot tub, and fire pit is not allowed during a power outage.

HOLIDAY NOTE: Typically, we decorate the house for Halloween and Christmas holidays.

Sunken Room and Loft TVs have antennas, but the quality of the reception can vary. We have Rokus on both TVs, with guest mode enabled, allowing you to sign-in easily to your own streaming services. We purposefully do not have TVs located in the bedrooms.

The house has many smart (but optional) features, including Alexa devices. You can control the lights in the house and rooms using Alexa. There are four devices - one in each bedroom, and one in the kitchen. You may disable or unplug the Alexa devices if you are not comfortable with them.

We are in the mountains, and yes, you will encounter pests, mostly stink bugs and lady bugs, throughout your stay. We have a monthly pest service protect our property - but pests are common depending on the season. We do our best to keep mice away, but we cannot guarantee mice won't try to sneak in. Being in the mountains, pests, including but not limited to, insects, bugs, spiders, bees, rodents, and animals are all par for the course. You may encounter pests inside or outside our property. No refunds of any amount are provided because of pests at the property. Please keep in mind that protecting our property from pests is very important to us, as they can cause significant damage, and encountering pests is just part of having a home situated in the mountains in a wooded/forest environment.

If you are allergic to dogs, we do not recommend booking our property. Our dogs stay with us when we are here. Unfortunately, because of significant damage caused by other dogs at our house in the past, we no longer make exceptions for allowing other dogs to stay at our property.
