First and foremost, the pictures do not do this place justice. The river behind the property was one of our favorite parts of the stay. It was incredibly relaxing to open the screened door and listen to the water. The property is pet-friendly, clean, and everything worked as expected. One thing worth noting is that the photos make the house appear much smaller than it actually is. We had four adults staying there and were very comfortable. The home does feel like it has been added onto over time, but that wasn't an issue for us.A few things future guests may want to know: if you have difficulty with stairs, the older spiral staircase to the lower level could be challenging. For those not used to rural properties, there are mouse traps downstairs, and they did catch mice during our stay. We also discovered near the end of our trip that there were portable A/C units stored in the closets, which would have been helpful to know sooner. If you plan to cook often, consider bringing disposable baking pans or extra cookie sheets, as there were only a few available and they were fairly well-used.These aren't complaints—just things I wish I had known ahead of time. Overall, this is a quiet, peaceful location about 30 minutes from Cody. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with beautiful river views, plenty of space, and a pet-friendly environment, this is a great option.
Great location with Amazing views from each window. River outback, view of Smith Manson, and mountains on each side. Worked well for 2 couples. Quite neighborhood, enjoyed our stay!
Beautiful views all around the home. We seen Mule deer, white tail deer and elk behind the house! Great communication with the owner. Wouldn’t think twice about a return visit.
We loved staying at this wonderful Cody, WY gettaway. While our plans were to visit Yellowstone frequently during our stay, those plans changed with the historic closure of the park. We enjoyed the beautiful wildlife around us and found its close proximity to Cody and the most scenic drive in the state to be a wonderful experience. The house and Cody created memories we will treasure. Would stay here again when we return!
Very nice by the river, peaceful, beautiful mountain views. House was well equipped with dishes, towels, extra bedding, beds were comfortable, large deck to relax on. Washer and dryer a plus. Peaceful setting in valley. 30 minutes to Cody or east entrance to Yellowstone.
We absolutely loved our stay! There's windows around the whole home with scenic views and even saw a few deer and hawks near the river during our stay. We slept with the windows and sliding door open so we could listen to the sound of rippling water from the river below. Only 30 minutes from the East entrance to Yellowstone with beautiful scenery along the way. Although the downstairs smelled of dog pee we were barely downstairs. It's disappointing people would allow their pets to do that and not clean up after them. I really appreciate such a nice home being pet friendly and would love to visit again.

Beautiful location, but…
This is definitely a cabin. It appears very cobbled together. Needs lots of maintenance both outside & in. 2nd bedroom, bath, & laundry are in the basement accessed by a narrow spiral staircase that was treacherous. Kitchen not very well equipped. Kitchen table only seats two. Views & location are fantastic. There was an issue with critters either in the cabin or trying to get in. Our friend sleeping in the basement was kept up all night & refused to sleep down there. Cody Lodging Co was very responsive & moved us to a different (beautiful) house a few miles down the road so that they could address the critter issue. Cody Lodging was great
My wife and I come out to Wyoming every summer, and this is one of the best places we’ve stayed in. The location is stellar, so close to Yellowstone and close to Cody. We were there during the insane heatwave, so it was quite hot in the house, even with the bedroom AC, but that’s not a big deal. It was perfect for the two of us and our dogs. Definitely would stay again.
Can get hot, but the location and house are awesome
We used this as a launching point to visit area attractions (Yellowstone, Cody, etc) so we were gone most of the day, but if the day was hot it could be a little hot in the house in the evening. That said, opening some windows allowed a nice breeze and it cooled off relatively well.
The location is great - the views of the river and hills made a pleasant backdrop to morning breakfast, an evening cup of coffee, or whatever. The neighborhood is nice and quiet with some residents there and what seem to be a few other rentals, and it's spread out so you have lots of privacy and silence to enjoy nature.
