Welcome to the "Blue Marlin"! St. James City on Pine Island is a fishing and boating community with old Florida charm! This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom canal front, direct Gulf access vacation home located in St. Jude Harbors features a fully equipped kitchen and wonderful outdoor space with a place to dock your boat to provide a true maritime experience. Spend your days lounging by the heated saltwater pool or rent a boat to head out on the water. At the end of the day grill some hamburgers or steaks on the Blackstone grill, grab a cocktail and relax in the hot tub. You are on island time once you cross the bridge to Pine Island!

RESTAURANTS & BARS | LIVE MUSIC!
Drive or walk to Low Key Tiki or Phuzzy's for a bite to eat, live music and watch the boats or take a short stroll down the block for some karaoke at Froggy's. The Waterfront Food truck is a 5 minute drive (or a 30 minute walk) located at the tip of the Island.

You will find plenty of dining and drinking establishments at the center of the island, Bokeelia and Matlacha. Catch the best sunsets, live music, fine dining indoor or outdoors, at the Tarpon Lodge. Other restaurants and bars include: the Fine Swine, Eagle's Nest, Street Eatz & Ale, Lazy Flamingo 3, Capt' n Con's Fish House, Miceli's, Blue Dog and That BBQ Place. Breakfast: Salty Girls Island Cafe and The Perfect Cup

General Store located in St. James and within walking distance from the property. At the center of the island there is a Winn Dixie, Publix, CVS and Dollar store. Matlacha is recovering nicely after Hurricane IAN and many small shops continue to open. Cape Coral is a 25 minute drive!

BEACHES
If the beach is what you're after Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel and Captiva are an hour's drive or take a boat or ferry and get there in half the time.

CHILDREN
This home is not suitable for young children. There is a 5.5 foot inground pool that is easily accessible, and a few steps from the back door. Due to safety reasons, persons younger than 16 are not permitted.

POOL
The pool is heated year round at 85 degrees. In the summer the pool is warmer and in the spring, fall and winter the pool is heated but may not stay at 85 degrees at all times and everyday and can be much cooler when the weather dips below 70 degrees. Therefore, the POOL TEMPERATURE IS NOT GUARNATEED.

This place is so adorable. The interior design is tropical-chic, comfortable and the owners have thought of every possible thing you might need (even things we didn't know that we needed!) The views are incredible. During our stay we saw dolphins, manatees and 6 bald eagles. The pool and spa are wonderful. Pine Island is beautiful and the people are so nice. This location is within walking distance to restaurants. In the future, we will rent a golfcart for extra fun! I highly recommend booking this place asap.

Stayed a week. Enjoyed the location. We saw manatees and dolphins swimming in the channel. Pool and hot tub were very nice. Enjoyed evenings under the stars within the screened in patio.

Great stay!

We came from Wisconsin to get a break from winter, and we were not disappointed. The house looks just like the pictures and was very clean and homey. The hot tub and pool were great. We loved being on the canal and even saw some manatees. We enjoyed many local restaurants and took Island Girls Charters to Cabbage Key Island and North Captiva. The host was very responsive and easy to work with. It’s a great stay for couples. We would definitely stay again.

Saint James City Gem - Very nice and clean!

We had a really nice stay at the "Blue Marlin"! The house is an extremely clean and newly renovated older Florida home with a larger frontage cul-de-sac lot on a canal. This cleanliness was greatly appreciated as it's how we like our own home. If you appreciate a nice clean home then this is the place. It was just my wife and I and our 2.5mo old infant. I appreciate that they made the exception being a small infant and not children running around which I wouldn't want if it was my house. The place is set up with two master bedrooms and is very spacious and would be perfect place for two couples. The pool area was very nice and we mostly used the jacuzzi. It was a little on the cooler side weather wise when we were there but were able to heat the pool to a comfortable temperature. The kitchen is stocked with all the appliances one could need and more. If I were to make a few changes it would be to leave some cupboards empty to be able to store food, have some basic cleaning products/supplies available to those that stay and want to keep it clean, and to remove or be able to cover the camera that faces the pool. There's quite a few cameras around the property. We never did anything or would do more than pg but we found that camera uncomfortable and not necessary for security. With that being said I would most certainly stay there again but would ask to cover that pool area camera.

The home has everything you need for a relaxing, sun filled stay....and it rarely rains in St. James when it's raining everywhere else!

Canal front home with direct Gulf access, boat dock, inground heated salt water pool, hot tub, walk to waterfront restaurants and general store, golf cart community; laid back, old Florida charm.

Green Iguanas? They roam near the property. In the winter and spring American Eagles are frequently seen in the tree across from the canal. Manatees and dolphins can be spotted in the canals.
