Relax and unwind in this charming, newly updated 1940s cottage near Hamlin Lake and the South Bayou. This cozy one-bedroom retreat blends vintage character with modern comforts, making it the perfect home base for your Ludington getaway.

The cottage features a comfortable queen bedroom, a full bathroom, a fully stocked kitchen with a gas range, and a cozy living room with a sofa sleeper, Smart TV, Wi-Fi, books, and board games. Step outside to enjoy the covered patio, grill, and fire pit—perfect for morning coffee or evenings spent roasting marshmallows under the stars.

You’ll be within walking distance of boat rentals, ice cream, and beautiful sunsets over Hamlin Lake. Downtown Ludington, the beach, and Ludington State Park are all just a 10-minute drive away.

Planning a beach day? We’ve got you covered with beach chairs and towels. Staying in? Curl up with a blanket and a movie or gather around the table for a game night.

The cottage comfortably accommodates up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. You’ll have the entire cottage to yourself, along with two dedicated parking spaces located behind the cottage next to the white garage.

* Due to the stairs and layout, this cottage may not be suitable for guests with mobility challenges.

Everything was wonderful at the Little White Cottage...the cottage was decorated as cute as can be and the outside areas to relax were nice too! We enjoyed the peace and quiet and yet close enough of a drive to local fun places - like Stix, the state park, The Perch, and more. We highly recommend this place for a couples or small family getaway!

We loved our stay here!!! The decor was spot on and we had so many much needed kitchen items including a great grill! Little touches were everywhere including a citronella candle outside and a drying rack for towels. Beach towels were a great option too! We had some trouble sleeping at night as both beds made a lot of noise (frame for the queen and the springs on the pullout) which is the only reason I didn’t give a 5/5! Everything else is definitely amazing including the cute remodeled shower! Perfect for a couple and close to state park! Thanks for a fun vacation!

This cottage surpassed our expectations! It was so thoughtfully and artfully presented, you felt comfortable and welcomed instantly. The neat lawn, the colorful flowers, the inviting firepit, and the lovely porch added so much appeal to the cottage before you even set foot inside. Once inside, the furnishings, the artwork, the windows, the layout all were so pleasing. Linens, pillows, towels, beach towels and chairs, a marshmallow fork, the well-stocked kitchen; everything continued to impress. It was very clean, up-to-date, and tasteful! We hope to return!

The space is small but well laid out and very clean! The host was accommodating and responsive, the surroundings were quiet, and location was great! Within a few miles of downtown Ludington as well as Ludington Stare Park. Recommended for adults partners traveling for a few days, or maybe a very small group of friends. Thanks for everything!

Cute Spot to Stay!

This little cottage was well decorated, comfortable, and had pretty much everything we needed. A little walk to Hamlin lake, a short drive to the state park/beach, and not too deep in the woods lol.It's a good spot for a romantic getaway. Despite the hot weather we've had, the owners had the fans running when we got there and it was comfortable. Nice quiet area, too.

Charming downtown with quaint shops, beautiful beach, sunsets, boating, the Ludington State Park and so much more. Although we are not originally from here, moving here was like moving back home.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this little gem for its quaintness and 1940's charm. It has a relaxing atmosphere where you can sit on the porch and enjoy the summer afternoon breeze or an evening by the firepit to roast some smore's and have great conversation.

What makes this property unique

We renovated this cottage in the Fall of 2021 while keeping the 1940's charm along with modern updates. And of course, our main goal is to make cozy and comfortable for our guests!
