Location, location! Paris at door steps!
This apartment, is much more spacious than the average studio in Paris: 400 square foot. A whole family up to four guests wouldn't feel tight.
Unlike some other areas in Paris, you won't have to run more than few meters to buy your groceries or find interesting shops and a wide range of restaurants.
Great strolls in "le Marais", Historical district of Paris right bank
3 metro stations and 5 metro lines close 5 minutes from front door.
The apartment is located on the first floor (one floor up from street level).
3 large windows on a courtyard , no street noise!
In the separate kitchen: everything you need including a washer/drying for your clothes.
The studio is fitted with a queen size bed in a alcove and a convertible sofa. All linens and towels are supplied also an ironboard and a hairdryer.
There is a cable television, a portable radio/CD player,
WiFi Internet access and free telephone calls.

Good value in Paris

The booking, communication, check in and check out we're all excellent. The location is great for exploring Paris using the Metro. I am more interested in function over luxury and this place provided great value. This was my first VRBO.

Location of property: Great The inside of this property: Great Other: To get into this property - think of an apartment building with an outside door that leads inside to the apartments; Our second night there, a homeless man was sleeping outside our door. I notified the owner immediately, at which time she acknowledged that this has happened before. however, the previous family felt sorry for him. Unsure how this was helpful. Our family went out, thinking this would resolve. Nope! Upon my return, someone had tried to break in. The doorlock is metal and someone had slashed the door attempting to break in. The owner was notified. She stated I was over reacting. I immediately moved. I was not refunded the nights stay because I was over reacting.

Very nice hostess

Pros: Great location, hostess super nice. Cons: This is a historical district so building is kind of old with thin walls. It is quiet 5 out of 7 nights, the other two nights, upstairs had party till 3 AM and 6 AM. And also no elevator but manageable.

Convenient location and great host

Great spot for our family. Just enough space for everything we needed, and an incredible location for getting absolutely everywhere in central Paris whether by waking or fast Metro rides from three different stops just blocks away. Beds, pillows, and bedding were all tidy and soft. Cute neighborhood with cafes, a museum is directly down the block, and the host is wonderful. Claude kindly greeted us for check-in and gave us wonderful tips for places to eat and explore. Definitely recommend!

WE LOVE PARIS

Paris is truly a very beautiful city. The apartment studio was perfect. The neighborhood was perfect, we felt at home through out our stay. As advertised it was definitely and conveniently close to everything. Navigating through out the city was made easy by the several metros near by. I will highly recommend this apartment studio at the Marais. I will book this studio again when we come back. Merci Godofredo Espano

Paris stay

Claude’s studio is close to the metro, many restaurants, bakeries & walking distance from the Louvre. She answered all our questions & we enjoyed her recomnendations. She is a wonderful host & I would recommend her studio to friends/families. Merci Claude! A bientot!

Ideal location to visit Paris

Great location, very close to metro stations, boulangeries, supermarket and all what you need for a pleasant stay. Claude was very kind and welcomed us in person explaining all what we needed. The apartment is perfect for 2 to 4 people, with a queen size bed and one sofa/bed. The kitchen is well equipped. Very recommended!

Well-appointed and perfectly situated for easy Metro access

We stayed in this studio for almost a week and found it to work well for our needs. Claude was accommodating and helpful. The space is very small by American standards, especially for a family of four, but certainly larger than you would find many places in Europe, especially for the price! We were there during a heat wave. Thankfully, there is a small air conditioner, but we had to keep the blinds closed during the day to keep the space from being too hot to sleep at night. We liked the location, with quick access to the Arts et Metiers and the Strasbourg-St. Denis stations. Also close by: a grocery store, post office, and wonderful boulangerie.

clean but tired

We had a week in this vacation rental by owner in Aug. 2012. The owner was very helpful. The apt. was clean but in need of an update . The linens are very tired as is the kitchen and furniture. The location was central to underground and bus access but walking by homeless street people every morning was unsettling.The photos make the apartment appear brigter than it is and some of the furniture is not the same and not as nice as the photo.

Comfortable accomodation with a rude host

We stayed in this accommodation for 5 nights. We were a family of 4 which included a 2yr old. Claude was surprised when we arrived to see the baby. She said the baby cannot cry which was almost impossible since we were flying all the way from US and were jet lagged. This really annoyed us and we were ready to walk out. However, Claude toned down after we showed her an email asking specifically about the place being child friendly. The accommodation was comfortable and near public transport. It is a good base to explore Paris. We will not stay in this place again as the host being friendly id as important as the physical comfort...

Terrific Parisian Experience

I wanted to find a property away from the “touristy” parts of Paris, but still with easy access to all the things that make Paris so amazing. This studio absolutely fit the bill with its location. It was an easy 5 minute walk to metro stations, and so easy to get to from anywhere in the city. The neighborhood had all the comforts of Paris without the inflated prices. It was important to me to stay in an authentic Paris studio, and it definitely met the mark. It was the perfect size for me, and when my friends came to stay for a quick visit, we comfortably existed together for the two days they were there. If you’re looking for something quiet and without some of the inconveniences of neighbors, this experience wouldn’t be my recommendation. However, if you’re looking for a Parisian flat in a great location, Claude has a wonderful place!

My adult son and I recently returned from a 10 day stay in Claude's delightful studio apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Paris, and much of the reason is this charming, homey studio apt., and Claude's vibrant personality! Claude was there to greet us after we arrived by bus from CDG, following her quite clear instructions. I have some knee and ankle limitations, and the 18th century stairs appeared a bit daunting at first, but were easier to climb than I thought. We were close to every convenience, and discovered some very interesting shops and restaurants in the Marais. This was my second visit to Paris, and having a comfortable home base after a leisurely stroll around Paris day after day added so much more to our vacation. I would recommend this apartment to everyone...spacious, comfortable, well stocked, and the internet and phone were very welcome. Merci Claude!! I will see you on my next visit to Paris!! Linda

Charming Spacious Studio in Wonderful Paris Neighborhood

I recently stayed at Claude's flat at 60 Rue Vertbois for a week with two friends and loved the apartment. It is spacious and feels even more so due to the high ceilings and tall windows giving lots of light. It is situated in an historic building and looks out on a courtyard rather than the street which makes it quiet and feels private. It was super well equipped from the bathroom complete with hairdryer and plenty of towels and all plumbing functioning as it should to the kitchen with enough pots dishes and glassware to accomodate us. We even invited 2 friends in for dinner one evening and were able to comfortably prepare dinner for 5. Free local and international phone service and working WIFI made it easy to keep in touch with our families back home. Location was excellent, close to metro, cafes and we even found an antiques/flea market on Sunday morning in the neighborhood. We felt safe coming and going from the flat at any time. Claude was an excellent host in every way. She sent us directions to get there, met us at the apartment and made sure we were all set before she left us and offered to make arrangements for our cab to the airport upon departure. She said if we needed anything while were there that all we had to do was call. Everything was so well arranged, that we never even needed to call. She had lists of retaurants and nearby attractions all printed out and left in the apartment as well as several tour books on the shelf. Merci Beaucoup Claude for making our stay in Paris fun and easy! I will definitely recommend your place to friends and would happily come back when next I visit Paris.

We enjoyed our stay, location was excellent. We were not able to use the kitchen to the extent we expected as the stove top was not operational, at least we were not able to figure it out. Comfortable stay suited us just fine.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour, surtout que le studio est bien situé, dans le 3ème arrondissement (Le Marais). L'hôtesse était bien accueillante et réceptive à notre bien-être, cependant le logement est dans un vieil édifice. Au 2ème jour (de 7), on a aperçu un mulot durant la nuit et malgré les efforts de l'hôtesse qui a tenté de résoudre la situation, le problème existait toujours à notre départ. Au prix moyen de 177,80 Euros par nuit (291 Cnd) qui n'est pas à négliger, on croit important de le noter. Merci!

The apartment is exactly as advertised and within easy walking distance of three metro stations and multiple bakeries, cafes and restaurants. The hostess speaks English and is easy to work with. We absolutely recommend it, but there are a few considerations to take into account.There is a nightclub of some sort a few buildings down. The windows in the apartment are double-paned, and provide excellent sound-proofing, but the noise might be an issue if you want them open. That said, we slept with the windows open and were not bothered by the noise. Unit is one floor up; no lift. Not great if you have large/heavy suitcases. Bathroom is compact; shower stall is only about 30” square, and fixtures intrude into that space. Not for the super-sized. The street itself has almost no traffic and is generally very quiet. It’s clean, but the area is functional, not Paris Postcard Chic. It makes an outstanding operating base from which to access the rest of Paris.

Claude was a superior host. She was very passionate showing us the map in the area. Love our 4-night stay. Lots of boulangerie and dining options in the area. Close to buses and metro lines. Will definitely come back again in the future.
