Nestled in the quiet village of Bernard, this charming cottage is set off the main road at the end of a short, wooded lane, offering privacy, comfort, and the calm pace of life on Mount Desert Island. With high-speed Wi-Fi, a comfortable work setup, and minimal distractions, it's the perfect spot to catch up on work if needed or relax after a full day exploring Acadia.

Wake up to birdsong, take a stroll to Back Beach for a morning reset, and enjoy a peaceful, productive day with nature just outside your window.

Whether you're working, writing, or simply unwinding, Wicker Way Cottage offers the perfect off-season getaway with all the essentials for remote living.

FIRST FLOOR: Entry leads into a small mudroom for outdoor gear and shoes. Kitchen with table that seats 4 to 5 comfortably is positioned next to a sunny window for the morning sun. Living Room with flat-screen Smart TV leads into a Bedroom with Queen bed. Full Bath with combined tub and shower also includes a laundry area and has two entrances, one from the Master Bedroom, and one from the main Living Area. Living Area also features a heat pump that serves as an AC unit sufficient to cool the main living area. Window fans are available for the second floor and master bedroom for where the heat pump might struggle to reach.

SECOND FLOOR: A narrow staircase leads to an open Bedroom with two sleeping areas tucked under the eaves. One side features a double bed, and the other features a single bed. For young children, a child safety gate is available to close off the top of the stairs if desired.

OUTDOOR SPACES: Deck tucked off the back of the house offering privacy from neighboring properties with gas grill, outdoor seating, and dining area. Fire-pit area is located next to the house above a granite outcropping. Yard and woods surround the back of the house and is safe for play.

Really loved this home and enjoyed our stay. I worked from there part of the week and found the wi-fi to be excellent. Beds were amazingly comfortable! I found it easy to get around the island but it is about a 10-minute drive to shops and restaurants in SW Harbor and 35-min to Bar Harbor. But would 100% recommend and stay there again.

My husband, friend, dog and I all loved our stay here. The beds were extremely comfortable and the the house had everything we needed. Lots of basics in the pantry and plenty of kitchen tools, drip coffee maker, etc. The neighborhood is incredibly quiet, but Southwest harbor is just a short drive away with great restaurants and shops. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. We loved exploring the quiet side of the island and did a lot of hiking, fishing, trail running, kayaking, and relaxing.

Perfect Acadia rental

My wife and I stayed at 14 Wicker Way with our two dogs and we loved this place. We got to explore the quiet side of the island and really enjoyed it. And you're just a short drive to Bar Harbor. The cottage is as advertised with everything we needed for our stay. We hope to stay here again when we visit next year.
