Small but comfortable place

Your little house was almost perfect for our visit to Acadia and the surrounding area. My husband and I are taller (5’9”” and 6’) and in our 60s , and while the bed was extremely comfortable we hit our shins on the end board and stubbed our feet on the sides because it was low to the ground. Also, a full height loveseat would be easier to sit in . Those would not keep us away and we would stay again. Thank you for the binder of great things to do and places to visit. You are right in the middle of convenience but in a very quiet spot. Thank you.

A week on the quiet side

My husband, our young son and dogs really enjoyed our week away at the cottage! We loved taking daily walks down to the town harbor and exploring Acadia during the day. The house is very comfortable and cozy and we had everything we needed for a great week! Thank you!

Lovely and cozy

Lovely and quite cozy dog-friendly property, great jumping off spot for anything you want to do on Mount Desert Island. Definitely on the quiet side, which has its appeal. The house itself is tucked away behind several other houses but it does maintain its own sense of seclusion.

Loved our week here!

We really loved this place. It was quiet, clean, and well equipped. It had everything we needed for nearly a week. We cooked in all of our meals in the kitchen, slept very well, and appreciated the location - both quiet, but also easy to get to everywhere we wanted to in the area including the Schoodic peninsula, Deer Isle, Bar Harbor and all over the main part of Acadia. Communication with the property manager was easy and quick and she was very helpful throughout. Check in and out was easy. Highly recommended!

Love the Quietside

Enjoyed the house, it’s a nice spot, and it was well equipped with a relatively private yard. Nice that it was dog-friendly, as my daughter brought her dog up for the long weekend. The only negative was that the upstairs sleeping area got pretty warm on hot days.

Wonderful Cottage

Our family had a great visit at this cozy cottage. We are glad we stayed near Bernard, much quieter than the Bar Harbor area. The cottage was clean, quiet and peaceful. The space was just right for our family of five. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here.

Loved it!

We were traveling with two dogs and loved the privacy this little place provided. Usually we stay closer to bar harbor but needing a last minute change in lodging to take both dogs we didn’t have any options closer to where we usually stay. But this side of the island was a pleasant surprise. We never would’ve spent as much time over there otherwise. Been going there for years, and shaking it up this time was awesome. Definitely would stay there again!

Cozy cabin on the quiet side

Very quiet location close to trails. Home has a perfect small kitchen table with nice natural light to enjoy a morning coffee, a good read, and to watch the deer walk by every morning on their way to work. Spacious living room, very big second floor, and nice size owners bedroom that also allows people to spread out a bit. The deck also gets a good amount of daylight. Finding and accessing the home was easy, Internet and smart TV were fast, and kitchen had nice pans and cooking utensils that made preparing a small Thanksgiving Dinner easy for our small family.

Beautiful cottage

Very nice and cozy house with all the needed pots, pans, & gadgets! The owners have really thought of everything! So close to many Acadia attractions! Highly recommend this house! The only downside was that even with bug spray the mosquitos were so out of control that we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor area.

Perfect for exploring Acadia National Park Quiet Side

This location was clean and neat with everything we needed. The beds are comfy and the firepit was lovely for stargazing at night! We used the grill and deck for cooking and eating outside and although the yard isn't totally private, the neighbors are respectful of your privacy. Note that you are on the quietside of the island so you can easily visit Bass Harbor Lighthouse and there are spectacular hikes on this side of Acadia, but for the Loop Road and Cadillac Mountain, it's a 20 minute drive to get to the other side of the island. The quiet side is beautiful!

Quiet, Peaceful Quintessential Acadia

Shhh! This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a peaceful location to decompress. On the quiet side of the area, the owners have thought of pretty much everything you need to be able to relax, cook if you like and enjoy. The property from the street looks a little less exciting though the small porch overlooks the woods providing a sense of privacy. I highly recommend this place!

Cozy quiet cabin

The cabin was clean and cozy and very peaceful, and we were happy to be able to bring our dog. We were comfortable and had what we needed. The owner left a binder with some great suggestions of local places to eat, visit and hike and it's about 30 minutes to get to activities and trails on the other side. Some helpful things to note: the upstairs loft does not have a door, and the deck is south facing and gets very hot and sunny during the day without an umbrella or natural shade. Overall we had a great stay!

Perfect space for a small family that is looking to relax. They had everything we needed. The home was cozy and very clean. There is a cute town with shops and restaurants only about 10 min away. My kids loved the upstairs bedroom area! We had a great stay!
