Southwest Harbor, located on the quiet side of MDI, is a welcome alternative to bustling Bar Harbor! A winding driveway leads to a secluded lot surrounded by evergreens. From the back door you can connect with numerous hiking trails which are located in nearby Acadia National Park! Enjoy the visiting wildlife through the wall to wall windows in the living/ dining area. On clear nights, it is the perfect spot for star gazing!!
The first floor open layout includes a fully equipped kitchen, living /dining area, 1 queen bedroom , full bath and laundry. On the second floor you will find a queen bedroom, double bedroom, full bath and loft area with futon. Take in the tranquil scenery of the blueberry field and Beech Mountain as you cook your delicious Maine lobster on the outdoor grill!

Wonderful vacation in SW Harbor

We loved our time here. Nestled in the woods near SW Harbor, the house is very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the meadow from the living room. The property manager was responsive, prompt and helpful.

Secluded Nature Getaway

We stayed while visiting Acadia. It was great to get away from the busyness of the park and Bar Harbor each day. We saw deer and Turkeys each day. We would definitely stay here again.

Girls trip!

This was our second Acadia trip and we absolutely loved the quiet side of the island! The cottage was quaint and secluded. It was cozy and the perfect spot to return for a rest after a full day exploring!

The cottage is in a great location to hike in Acadia National Park. It was spacious and comfortable for my group. We enjoyed seeing the deer around the house and nearby blueberry field. We would stay here again for future trips to Acadia.

Loved our stay!

We loved this house. It was the cleanest home we’ve ever stayed in! It was in a great location, loved wandering out to the blueberry bushes and saw deer in the morning. Kathy was wonderful to work with, she circled in with us to see how we were enjoying our stay and the area. We highly recommend staying in this property!
