D&E Digs / Relax in the Woods Under Starlit Skies....

Come and visit our charming cottage in the woods. Large bedroom with a tempurpedic mattress, full kitchen, and a private deck with a mountain view. Enjoy the different sitting areas around the property, including the gazebo, which is perfect for enjoying a good book or just some quiet time.

Located between two entrances to Yosemite, each with beautiful scenic routes leading you into the park. Wonderful restaurants to choose from, including a cafe right at the end of the road!

We set up the campfire for you during the cooler months. It is a great place to come home to after a wonderful day in the park....

We have a massage therapist available, (if given enough notice) to enhance your relaxation and enjoyment during your visit to D&E Digs.

Amazing Yosemite Getaway

This is the ideal stay if you're heading into Yosemite National Park! Very clean and the perfect size with all the amenities you need, and such a comfortable bed! An added perk is wonderful hosts and stargazing. We hope to be back in the future!

Weekend getaway

Loved having a quiet spot surrounded by trees with lots of birds. Very comfortable and cozy. Our hosts were kind and welcoming. We’ll be back.

California Dreaming

We very much enjoyed our stay in the California chaparral. The rental was clean, easily accessible, cute and comfortable. It’s not close to anything, but that’s the point, isn’t it? There is a small market close so if you need gas or a loaf of bread, you’re golden. The only disappointment was that the landlord’s house looms close by, just out of the pictures presented in the advert.

This is a delightful spot and we loved it. Very quiet and surrounded in beautiful views. The cabin is cozy and cute with everything to make one comfortable. Donna and Eric are most welcoming and friendly. We cooked every evening not wanting to leave the place. We asked if it was possible to extend our stay for an additional day but unfortunately the home was rented so we left with a promise to return in the fall

Exactly what we hoped for!

We selected D & E Digs because of its ideal location between the south and west entrances to Yosemite — and it was ideal for that. But it was so much more! Donna & Eric were the perfect hosts, and their property is delightful. The guest cottage is clean and perfectly appointed, and the rural setting allows you to experience abundant birds during the day and outstanding stargazing at night. I highly recommend this special retreat!

Three Rivers Delight

The property was beautiful and peaceful in a great location outside Sequoia. Our hosts were a delight! Sharing useful tips and good conversation. We couldn’t have found a better place to stay! If we come back to Three Rivers or area, there is no other place we would stay!

Peaceful Getaway

Very cute and cozy!

Donna was a wonderful host and made sure that my partner and I had everything we needed during our stay. The cottage is adorable and the kitchen is well-equipped for cooking. Immaculately cleaned guest house in a wonderful location.

Donna & Eric were amazing hosts. The place is very clean and has all the necessary amenities for a stress free, vacation. Cell coverage is spotty depending on your provider but the wifi is reliable enough to depend on for remote working. Location is great in regard to park access. The sky is unbelievably gorgeous. Milky way is mesmerizing. Will definitely come back.

Trip to Mariposa

We absolutely love staying here. Perfect location a few minutes outside of Mariposa and about 45 min to Yosemite. Eric and Donna are the best hosts. This is the second time we have stayed here. Everything is very clean, bed is super comfortable. Very quiet and relaxing. We spent both evenings (and early mornings) stargazing, just amazing view of the night sky. We will definitely be back again!

Absolutely Perfect Yosemite Trip

D and E Digs was nothing short of amazing. The cottage was clean, the bed was comfortable, and you had everything you needed right there. The property was beautiful and serene. Chatting with Donna and Eric and meeting their sweet pup were added bonuses! They are just awesome humans who made sure we were comfortable and happy in their VRBO. The distance from the park was not bad at all either, it was an easy drive in and back. We will certainly back! Thank you D and E

Short but Great

Been living in Fresno for a couple of years and hadn't gone to Yosemite. Being a cautious person decided to break up the trip and give it a try in pieces. Staying so close to the parks entrances it was a breeze to check out the rest of the road to the park.ade it back down by night fall and made it to Mariposa for dinner. It was a short but great little trip and seeing the Merced River was a welcome addition to the experience.

Off the beaten path

The Carrs were very good hosts. Met us on arrival, gave us some tips and instructions. Muffins and fruit were welcoming. Place is over 45 minutes from the south entrance of Yosemite. Air conditioner only in the living room, not bedroom, but it cooled off enough at night for us. It was quaint but definitely had a few wonks, like lighting the stove with a lighter. Bed was comfortable. But I wouldn't book again.

The Perfect Getaway

Donna and Eric made sure our visit was incredibly memorable. The property is gorgeous and just what we needed in a weekend to unwind from the city. It was beautiful and so close to Yosemite Park. Perfect Yosemite location - and so much more

Donna and Eric felt like old friends as we returned to this cosy cottage in the woods. After 11 years, it was even better than we remembered. It is spotlessly clean. Yosemite is certainly a highlight of any lifetime and this cottage, whilst still a drive to the park, is a much better option than anything closer for those who like good old fashioned living. Hope we come back again!
