Summer escape for 2 at Private Cottage! A 5 min drive to Peddlers Village!

As you turn into our property, heading up the scenic driveway, you will find yourself surrounded by woods and greenery, leading you to your private cottage and yard nestled behind our 1880’s stone farmhouse.

Our property is just a few minutes drive to Peddler’s Village where you can walk around and find some great restaurants and shops. None Such Market is perfect for your grocery needs. And don’t forget to go to Curiosity Doughnuts…absolutely to die for!! We are also a short drive to Lambertville, New Hope, Doylestown and Newtown where you can also find some great restaurants. Also, with our igloo, you will still be able to enjoy the outdoors in rain, snow or chilly weather and practice Yoga if you’d like!

We had an awesome time. Patricia and Scott were so accommodating and kind. The cottage was adorable, very clean, and had everything we needed. The air conditioning kept the cottage cool and very comfortable - even on very hot days! It was conveniently located and only a short drive away from all the places we wanted to visit. We loved our stay here and recommend 100%. Thank you!!

I had an excellent experience at this cottage. It was quaint, well-stocked with everything we needed, and impeccably clean. The location was excellent, tucked away but not a far drive from the local attractions.

The cottage is such a beautiful place to stay. Patricia and Scott are wonderful hosts providing insight and suggestions of the area to enhance our visit. Very peaceful and relaxing. We will definitely return and recommend them to anyone visiting the New Hope area!

Patti and Scott were great hosts! The only thing that surprised us was how close the cottage was to their home. Although, I am just nitpicking. Easily the cleanest rental we have ever stayed and Patti’s instructions were very clear and we did our best to follow them! Great recommendation for Baci Restaurant. It ended up being our headquarters for a local rustic bar and Italian food. Fresh eggs were an added bonus and our stay was lovely.

Make sure you read the property description and rules carefully. I did not and then found out upon arrival realized we could not have any guests on the property. It is stated in the description but missed it. Also the a/c is not central but a free standing unit upstairs and you are not permitted to put the temperature below 70. Only starter supplies offered. We got 1 trash bag for a 4 night stay and how to figure out suppling another.

The cottage is in an ideal location, secluded and private, and very close to New Hope and all of the things to do in Bucks County. The inside is beautifully done, very cozy and perfect for two. Every thing that was described in the amenities is exactly what is available. Patricia and Scott were excellent hosts who provided every amenity you could want. She was always very responsive with any questions we had. it is hard to tell in pthe photos but the space inside the cottage is very small. I’m 6’7 and had some trouble navigating upstairs with the sloped roof and smaller bathroom. My only complaint was the rooster crowing and the window above the bed did not have a shade, only sheer curtains which made the room very bright in the morning. But, despite those small things, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dawdle Acres and definitely will consider coming back!

Patti was a great host. Communications prior to our stay were great and Patti was very responsive with great recommendations for hiking, food, local attractions and entertainment. Loved the extra bonus of being able to book a massage during our stay! The cottage was as advertised. Very private, welcoming, and perfect for the two of us! The location is also perfect - right in between New Hope and Doylestown! Easy access to all of the wonderful Bucks County attractions.

This cottage is adorable! The owners are incredibly thoughtful with a number of really nice touches throughout the home. The mattress and bedding were so comfortable, which is usually the one area I have trouble with when I stay away from home. The area is awesome with a lot of neat things to do. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend away!

This was the perfect place for us. Patricia met us at the cottage and was very welcoming. Super nice, went over every detail of her cottage, best places to eat at and places to visit. The cottage is gorgeous! The pics don’t really do it justice. It’s warm, comforting, safe, and close to the places we wanted to visit. We will definitely stay here again when we visit the New Hope area.
