Lakeside Living with HotTub, Kayaks, Paddleboard; close to Olympic National Park
MARCH/APRIL/NOVEMBER: The upper 3rd bedroom with 2 twin beds is NOT AVAILABLE and we LIMIT guests to 5 TOTAL. Please read through the entire description for details.
SUMMERTIME/PEAK SEASON (MAY 1 - OCTOBER 30): Enjoy lakeside living at this well-equipped Lake Sutherland Retreat right at the water's edge. During Summer and Peaktime getaways with family and friends, the house sleeps up to 7 guests (in 5 beds).
The huge dock has multiple seating areas for soaking up the sun and enjoying conversation. We provide a paddleboard and 2 kayaks for enjoying the water during the summer/peaktime months of May - October. The outdoor patio is equipped with a gas BBQ grill and food prep area. There's even a full bathroom on the dock level for your convenience with entrance from the outside. We also have a shallow "beach" entry to the Lake for wading and swimming, perfect for the kids and for launching the kayaks/paddleboard. A few sizes in life jackets are provided but we always encourage you to bring your own to ensure the best fit. In the evenings, enjoy soaking in the hot tub under the stars or enjoying a fire either at the gas fire table or at the outdoor wood fire pit (outdoor fire bans July 1 to October 1).
Inside, there is a cozy living room on the dock level with seating, a gas fireplace and a Smart TV for your enjoyment. There is also the Primary bedroom with Queen size bed and Smart TV just off of the living room. Both the living room and the primary bedroom have sliders leading to the dock and Hot tub. Up one flight of stairs, on the main level of the home, you will find a fully equipped indoor kitchen with counter seating and stunning lake views. The small second bedroom with a queen size bed is located right off the kitchen (entrance is across from the kitchen sink). And for additional sleeping needs, we also have a loveseat that pulls out into a twin size bed just off the kitchen. The main floor indoor bath with shower and the laundry room are also located on this level. To access the upper-level third floor bedroom with two twin beds and stunning views of the lake, you will go out the sliding doors at the main level of the home and climb the outside stairs one flight. This bedroom is only accessed from an outside locking door and is best suited for adults rather than kiddos. Please note, the 2nd bathroom is located at the dock level and is only accessible from the outside with a key, and can be a bit chilly to get to at night, so you may choose at night to only use the indoor bathroom with shower located inside on the main level.
****DURING THE MONTHS OF MARCH/APRIL & NOVEMBER: We LIMIT guest capacity to 5 guests ONLY, as we do CLOSE the upper third bedroom with the 2 twins. We do this for two reasons, the outdoor dock and seating is not usually accessible due to the weather and the retreat's inside accommodations are intimate and can only seat up to 5 guests comfortably in the living room. The sleeping arrangements during this time are the two queen beds and the twin size sleeper sofa. The Retreat during these months is a great option for couples looking for a romantic getaway. The gas fireplace is wonderful to cozy up to and the hot tub is still available for soaking under the stars. The paddleboard/Kayaks are NOT available during these months.
Additional things to Note: 1. The house's water source is from the Lake. It is pumped into the house, which can lead to the main level toilet filling slower. This is normal. We do have a UV water filtration system and the water is safe for showering/cleaning and cooking needs. We do still recommend that you bring bottled water for your drinking needs. 2. There are posted safety guidelines on the dock for the Hot Tub and Paddlesports. We do ask that you adhere to these guidelines at all times. 3. The pump that runs the water from the Lake can be noisy at times. The pump house room is next to the dock level bedroom. Whenever there is water being drawn for a toilet, faucet, shower or laundry this pump will be on and can be have a white noise affect. If you are a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, we do provide earplugs for sleeping at night. Again, the pump will only make noise when a toilet, sink, appliance (dishwasher/washing machine) or shower are being used. 4. Check in instructions will be made available on the VRBO app in the Welcome Guide 3 days prior to your arrival.
Rental Agreement: At the time of booking, the rental agreement/house rules are presented for your review and electronic acknowledgment that you have read and understood the terms.

Very pleasant stay. Hosts were prompt in answering questions and very helpful. We also appreciated the information given about the area - that helped us plan our hikes. Comfortable surroundings in a beautiful area!
Lovely home perched above the lake. Relaxing atmosphere with lovely decks. All the amenities for a cozy and relaxing stay. We headed off to the area hiking/national parks areas during the day, to return home to a relaxing home with water activities for our enjoyment in the evening. The house is well maintained, with all the extras you need. Nothing left to worry about!

Thank you, Tara! We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed your visit, the home and amenities, and proximity to the ONP. Hope to host you again!
Enjoyed our stayed at the property. It was well equipped and a great location for exploring ONP. Loved being on the water. There were 6 adults and thankfully the weather was fantastic. It would have been a little tight if we had to be indoors. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay here again.

Thank you for your kind review, Kenny! We are glad to see you enjoyed the lake property and its amenities. Hope to have the opportunity to host you again!
Excellent spot on lake. Outdoor area was my favorite and had lots of area to gather. Stairs are STEEP. I MEAN STEEP! Rooms inside were small and quaint. Our girls weekend was fantastic, and the sunset was spectacular. Master room had a lot of excess noise from sun pump or something, but with fan on it was easier to sleep through. Thank you for sharing your home.

Thank you for your review Lara and for choosing to stay with us! We hope you will come see us again.
We had a fantastic time at this property! The location is great. Neighbors are quiet. The lake is clean and warm enough to swim in (end of July) The house is beautifully decorated and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook. We also appreciated all the outdoor amenities! Our kids (ages 6 and 8) slept in the room at the top of the stairs (orange door). They loved it because it was like their own little apartment. It doesn’t open directly into the house. It was fine for our older children but just a heads up if a guest was planning to put younger children in there alone. Overall we have no complaints! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Thank you for your kind review, Tessa! We are happy to hear you enjoyed the Lake and amenities and made some wonderful family memories! Hope to see you again!
The property is lovely but has MANY steps to access living and deck spaces. Could be difficult for small children and carrying bags and groceries. This is Not the House for those wanting family/friends to drop by for swim fun or visits. The neighbors were constantly watching and reporting everything that happened in addition to the cameras placed everyqhere on the property. We were continuously harrassed by owners who said neighbors reported our kids used next door slide-not true at all; and then constant texts saying we had too many people-they were Kids In The Lake only for a few hours having fun with cousins. We never had extras for overnight, just the original family. And for the huge amount we paid, over 5000 for a short week, there should be a rebate or some discount, as we had to bring drinking water!!
