The house was cozy, and provided everything needed for a comfortable stay. The neighborhood close walking distance to the beach and we loved that the house is nestled in a cul-de-sac.

Hello,
Thank you for taking your time to write this review. We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay. Unfortunately the property does back up to the main road through Pacific City, however there is a fence and tree cover between the property and road.

Clean and comfortable with well stocked kitchen. Loved being able to walk pathways and get to beach so easily. Shore Pine properties are well kept and attractive. Our only complaint is listing said the yard was fenced, this is not so. We had to have our dog on leash when in the backyard. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.

Hello,
Thank you for taking your time to leave us this feedback. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and hope to host you again.
Excellent location to beach and town, nice walking trails, house was comfortable and clean and good size and layout for family. Plenty of seating to watch tv, beds were comfortable. Lots of extra towels and linens. Kitchen was fairly well stocked, but some of the pans could be replaced (warped and non-stick scraping away). We had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider this home again. The only potential negatives guests might have issues is that parking was tight with no roadside parking. We had two vehicles and singe garage was small, barely fit our SUV, our second vehicle wouldn't fit so we had to rotate vehicles several times during our stay. The other is that the yard isn't fully fenced, luckily we brought our dog's cable so it wasn't a problem.

Not like it was last year
This is our second time at this property. However a few things,Hot water was tepid at best, dirty baking sheet in the oven.
Couldnt get the DVD to work in the living room. Five remote controls???
Dryer lint trap was filthy.
Smoke detector in second bedroom missing, was in the garage with battery removed. quality of paper towel and bathroom tissue was terrible. No 'Kleenex" anywhere. Back yard not fenced in (as advertised).
Living room table lamp falling apart.
But, the location is great, short walk to the beach and the Pelican pub and restaurant.
Not likely that we will come back.

Hi Ed. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your second visit didn’t live up to your expectations or match your previous experience. We are sorry you encountered issues with the hot water, cleanliness, living room table and the missing smoke detector. Had we been notified while you were checked in, we would have promptly sent our team over to address these concerns. We value your booking and hope we have the opportunity to provide you with a much-improved stay in the future.
The property is very cute! The location was within walking distance to everything you may need. The house was decorated well and very comfortable (especially the living room sofa's). We had an awesome time.
It should be stated that garage parking (which is 1 of 2 spaces will accommodate only a smaller vehicle. We drive an medium SUV and would not attempt to park in the garage. When our kids joined us with their small SUV, we parked 1 vehicle in overflow parking which is about 2 blocks away. I am grateful it was a Sunday night so there were spaces. That being said, 2 vehicle parking is questionable.
We did reach out to property manager the day we booked and got a message back that they would contact us via our regular email and answer our question but that email never came. I had to call the day before to get my question answered.

Primary bathroom sink clogged and backing upThe smoke detector in primary went off at 9:00 pm at night for no reason, waking up our 2.5-year-old that we had spent almost 2 hours putting to bed. We were up for another hour trying to get him to go back down because of this.Fan in primary bedroom is loud and clicks obnoxiously, and if you turn it off you have no air flow in home, as their is no HVACNo HVAC in home other than cadet heaters. No airflow or ventilation which makes it muggy and gross.Extra bathroom sink clogged and backing upExtra bathroom tub stop would not stay up no matter how you lifted and turned it, making it difficult to shower in this shower without accumulating water.Extra bedroom fan was temperamental and would not work every time you tried to turn it on. Maybe the batteries in the remote going dead?Refrigerator ice chute frozen over and ice not distributing. Had to take ice out of bucket, remove frozen block from chute, and re-make ice. Chute still did not work, so had to remove ice from the bucket manually each day.The refrigerator water filter light was on. Who knows how long this has needed to be replaced. Purchased gallons of water.Coffee maker shows that it needs descaling. Who knows how long this has needed to be cleaned. Did not make coffee. The pots and pans are old, gross, and the Teflon coating is super scratched up. Not usable, unless you want non-stick coating in your food, which is toxic. Not able to cook while and had to g
Overall great place. We parked two vehicles in the driveway (can't park on the street) which barely fit. One vehicle had 5 inches of rear tire hanging off the slab and on the sand/grass. I had set my phone down to unpack the vehicles, and about 45 minutes later I found that I had already missed a phone call and text stating that I had 30 minutes to move my car off the grass. Or else. From the time of the text, I had 2 minutes. We dropped everything to move the vehicle. While moving the vehicle we recieved a second complaint via text that we had not yet moved our vehicle. The individual who was notifying us of the neighbor complaint was kind, understanding and apologetic, but what if we had gone to the beach and did not get the notification? Would my car be towed? The complaining neighbor watched us move the vehicle under the guise of "taking out the trash". I appreciate that the locals have a system of recourse. I live next to a vacation rental myself and it is a constant pain, so we tend to be overtly respectful of the neighbors, but what I experienced in PC was ridiculous. I will most definitely not rent this particular property again.

Hello David,
Thank you for taking your time to leave this feedback. We are glad to you enjoyed your stay. The neighborhood is very strict on parking rules, I apologize that you were negatively affected. We hope to host you again.
The Islander house was a great place to stay. The area itself is tightly packed, but didn't seem overcrowded. The house and space was more than enough and described accurately. Only time we had to contact the property management was after our arrival we noticed we didn't have hot water. They were very prompt in getting this resolved and very helpful. We had a great time!
Enjoyed our stay...close to beach...walking distance to town...plenty of room for everyone. Wished we had highchair available for little one. Other than that it was awesome.
Excellent location in Pacific City. A short walk to the beach. House was perfect for our extended family, with 3 couples and a couple small children. One issue was there was no room to store food, dry goods. All cabinets were full of cooking utensils; it was a very well stocked kitchen. Otherwise, I would certainly return.
