Beaver Lake Weekend with family friends
When we arrived at the property (middle of August, 100+ degree temps outside) we were less than enthusiastic that the AC was not working (88 degrees inside). My husband who is pretty handy began looking for solutions (having worked HVAC in grad school he was not completely clueless).
I contacted the property manager who had to contact the property owner to find where breaker boxes were located. After an hour we were informed we would need to go outside by the unit’s condenser to located the breaker box the HVAC unit was fed from. My husband had to go do this in a rain storm; coming away with new leather shoes covered in mud.
Although Hector (property manager) was polite and professional at first, he quickly became agitated with me over the phone; almost like the AC was our problem to deal with not his. I mentioned if the property had been checked prior to our arrival this would have been remedied prior to our arrival and possibly avoided. At that point the conversation escalated and we seriously considered finding alternative accommodations.
It was over 24hours before we could get the property at a comfortable temperature.
Our kids had allocated beds upstairs and were disappointed the bunk beds shown online have been separated.
It’s a nice property but we will never rebook simply because of our experience with check-in and our experience with Hector.
