Overall had everything you would need. Excited to stay somewhere not like we've stayed before. Easy to contact the property owner. Would highly reccomend.
Very impressive little cabin all the comforts of home. Very peacful and quiet. My second time staying there! I will be back forsure. Highly recommend this place for seclusion and beauty! Very very nice!
Can't say enough good things about the cabin and our stay. It feels secluded and the views are amazing, yet there are neighbors nearby (but out of sight). It was very clean and well-maintained/updated as well and we will definitely be returning.
Was very peaceful and quiet. The bed downstair is alittle unsturdy and the bees are pretty bad. But other than that the rest of the place is nice and clean with a fire pit and a little girll. Diffently good for a get away from society.
Again another great stay. I loved that there was a decorated Christmas tree. Brett is an awesome host and goes above to make sure you are welcomed. Home is perfect with all details and needs you need. Look forward to going back in the summer.
We enjoyed our stay in Stillhouse Cabin. We were there to hike the Red River Gorge. While most trails are a 30+ minute drive away, there’s a lesser-known, off-the-beaten-path hike right near the cabin. While It rained for us on the second day, I enjoyed sitting in the rocking chair listening to the rain.
Things went smooth with the rental, on a very nice property. Very nice home, seems fairly new and clean.
Only issue I had, was the location was a ways from the hiking areas.
The cabin was very private and quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the deer come to feed. This is a very rural area, so you will not find all of the typical chain stores or restaurants. Bring your own food and cook at the cabin. Eat on the deck and enjoy the quiet.
The cabin is perfect for a couple weekend getaway. Very comfortable and relaxing. Very convenient after a hot day hiking to come back and throw clothes in the laundry. The cabin is very remote, can't see any neighbors, the drive is in narrow hilly back roads.
The cabin is so cute and very comfortable. We really love how there was no other house around and it is off the road. The owner Brett was very nice and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. And I really thought that the note they left us was a very nice gesture. I would recommend this cabin to anyone that is looking for a getaway you will really enjoy your stay I promise.
We were planning on camping in the Red River Gorge, and with rain in the forecast, we were thankful to find this place open on short notice to have a roof over our heads. There was plenty of space for tents outside, and comfortable furniture inside. All the neighbors were far enough away that we felt very secluded. Brett was a great host, responding very quickly to any questions I had.
Canceled right before we got there after driving three freaking hours
We drove three hours to get to a property that we rented that at the last minute was told they canceled on us knowing they had problems without telling us before we left or we would’ve made other arrangements
This is a breathtaking location, a wonderful little cabin, nice amenities. The birdsong was varied and beautiful. It was QUIET, which is exactly what we were looking for.
Bring your own charcoal, and a way to light it. We forgot our lighter and had to drive to town to buy matches.
Communication was really the only problem we had. We did not get a code to get in until the day we were to arrive--explained by alluding to overstaying guests. We didn't get a wifi code until we were there. Upon our discovery that we'd forgotten our lighter, we texted the host, and he said he'd bring some matches out later that day, which unfortunately didn't happen. The firepit had a couple pieces of new (very old) wood, and a bunch of ends left over from previous fires.
Very secluded but still within a small drive of anything someone would need. Very peaceful get away. Super cute (and very clean) cabin with touches of “today’s” amenities!
We came at dark and had a hard time finding it. Our bad. I was so embarrassed. Brett was very kind and showed us the way...im so sorry. It has everything u need in a lovely setting. Watched the deer this morning. Thanks for a lovely respite. Deb and Chris
