The Zen house was absolutely amazing. Wow the views are spectacular. The house is full of amenities to make you feel right at home. Lisa was very responsive to all my questions. The house is spacious which was comfortable for our whole family.

The house is beautiful and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The view is breathtaking and it’s very easy to get to. The host Lesa answered all her questions right away and we had a wonderful weekend at her home. We highly recommend this to everyone!

It was another beautiful stay at Horizen House. We have visited 3 times and on each occasion the house was spotless and the property was tidy. Lisa provides thoughtful touches like small toiletries for the forgetful traveler, and in the kitchen, tea bags and plentiful spices.It seemed that several of the deck chairs had been retired and new ones put in their place. Thank you Lisa for being attentive to periodic upgrades and maintenance! We always leave Horizen House feeling refreshed.

We absolutely loved staying here, the views were even better than the photos. The kitchen had everything we needed and was a pleasure to use, the dining room and living room were very comfortable, and the bedrooms were very cozy. I also loved the art within the house, it feels very loved and I'm definitely planning on coming back!

Wonderful property. We celebrated a bunch of our 59th birthdays just chilling at this beautiful house, relaxing in the porch, stargazing and eating.

It was one of the most beautifully decorated places I’ve ever stayed at! The views were astounding, hot tub was a big bonus, and very convenient to wineries & breweries. The host was very kind & accommodating. I definitely want to go back. If you go over holidays, check out the lights at Veritas Winery.

10/10! This home exceeded all of our expectations. It was absolutely beautiful, and the photos don't do the views justice—they are truly stunning.We booked a two-night stay for our anniversary to unwind and relax, and it was the perfect getaway. We also enjoyed a wine pairing dinner at nearby Hazy Mountain Vineyards & Brewery, which is an absolute must-visit!When I say they thought of everything, that's still an understatement. Every detail was carefully considered, making our stay incredibly comfortable and memorable. Awesome property & views! We stayed at the HoriZEN house with 8 adults for a 40th bday getaway and had the best time! The house is amazing, spacious, updated, peaceful - close to wineries, hiking and easy drive to Charlottesville! Nothing beats the view from the deck!

Oh my god this place is AMAZING. Lisa was just beyond words with everything in the house to her communication before/during arrival. The views are spectacular, it’s so peaceful and the best place to go to just get away from it all. Managed to get to some nearby wineries/breweries/distilleries as well, so it was the perfect balance.

What a gorgeous property! Lisa was a nice host and very responsive the questions. The home was well equipped for our group’s stay, and very clean and comfortable. Our group of 8 friends had a fabulous time, enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, singing in living room with perfect fire pit, and relaxing in the hot tub. Very very beautiful sunrise view from deck too!!

Thanksgiving family stay

We've stayed in Charlottesville every year around Thanksgiving to visit my father who is in a nursing home nearby, and this was our favorite house in 10 years! The views were incredible, the house was gorgeous and our host was so thoughtful about accommodating us and providing us with everything we could need while staying there with my family. Would highly recommend!

UVA Graduation weekend, wonderful retreat with gorgeous mountain views- mesmerizing! The house had every amenity for cooking and entertaining. It was nice not having to deal with hotel rooms and crowded restaurants. Highly recommend!
