Sunset Lake House with private dock and game room

Beautiful water front home in the prestigious Water's Edge Community on Smith Mountain Lake. Enjoy the amazing views of the lake and sunsets you will never forget! Private dock and beach area on property to relax, swim or fish. Enjoy the many amenities; WIFI, HD televisions , games, puzzles, pool table, ping pong table, 4 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, rafts, and yard games.
The main living area is a large open concept family room, dining area and kitchen with windows galore to enjoy the lake view. On cool evenings enjoy the large brick gas fireplace in the family room. Off the family room relax in the screened porch on our comfy patio furniture. The master bedroom and bonus room both have private bathrooms and enjoy the private decks facing the lake. The second bedroom is very spacious with a private bath. The lower level is a great space to hang out to play ping pong, pool, build a puzzle or play games. The third bedroom is downstairs with walk out sliding doors facing the lake. There is also a full bathroom on the lower level. Multiple outdoor furnishings and a grill. Large dock for relaxing, swimming, fishing or tying up your personal watercraft. Boathouse has rafts, furniture and a small refrigerator. Owners boat and jet skis are off limits. You are welcome to bring your own boat or personal watercraft or rent one at one of the many marinas.
Our home has WIFI and 3 TV's . There is a washer and dryer on the main level. You must be 25 years old to book. No gatherings or parties allowed. No pets allowed.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Empty all trash cans (bedrooms, bathrooms, dock, kitchen, garage) and take to the Dump – 695-933 Morgans Fork Rd, Penhook, VA 24137
Turn gas off on grill, clean and cover the grill Turn off all ceiling fans and lights Put all items that have been used in the house and on the dock back to where they were found
Bed linens, bath towels and beach towels are not included. You can bring your own or order them through Done Rite Linens, www.dunritelinens.com or 540-797-1838
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please DO NOT use spray sunscreen in house or on house decks and porches or on the dock, it stains the surfaces.
Please use provided coasters in the house to protect our furniture and use hot pads on the counters and dining room table.
We try our best to be a no shoes household, try to take your shoes off upon entering the house.

Amazing property and hosts

My family could not have enjoyed our stay at this wonderful house any more - one of our best vacations ever. The location on the lake is fantastic and the property is superbly maintained. In addition to the spacious house and fantastic dock (with two swim platforms), we were overwhelmed by all the additional items available for our use - paddle boards, kayaks, inner tubes, water skis, board games, pool table, etc.. All in all, a great week on our favorite lake that we won't soon forget.

We are Deanna and Mike. We have been married 30 years and have 2 daughters. We love the lake and the outdoors. We enjoy boat rides, water skiing, and of course happy hour and sunsets on the dock.

Why they chose this property

We have been enjoying SML for almost 50 years. My parents brought us on vacation when I was around 15 years old. Shortly after our first trip they purchased a home here. After my parents passed, the thought of selling the property was heart breaking. At that point I decided to start renting the property, which has brought me more joy than I could have ever imagined. Thank you for choosing our property to make amazing memories at, we hope you love it as much as we do.
