With maximum comfort and lake-style living in mind, the tasteful decor and furnishings throughout, create a space everyone will love. Entering the home, you’re met with a roomy and open, multi-use area. The functional area includes a beautiful wood dining table (seating 6) and a buffet cabinet – set up with a welcoming array of snacky treats, a guest book, and a “take-a-bottle, leave-a-bottle” wine rack— to greet weary travelers. And if you’re here to work remotely, you can take your pick from the dedicated workspace found in this room, literally any spot in this home, or anywhere in the backyard (all the way down to the water) to call your makeshift office. The beautiful, natural backdrop will undoubtedly inspire your passion, creativity, and productivity. With killer views and a solid Internet connection, you’re set up for success!
Across, is the living room, which is a great spot to chill with family and friends. Spread out a board game on the coffee table or cozy up and watch your favorite movie. With a comfy couch (which offers additional sleeping) and plenty of extra seating, there’s room for everyone to hang out.
Through this room, is a fully equipped kitchen where you can have fun spending time and cooking or you can take the meal prep outside and make your favorite meal on the wood pellet/propane gas grill. While you’re at the culinary works, you won’t want to forget about the beverages. Don’t let your inner barista or bartender go unfulfilled, be sure to take advantage of the fully stocked coffee station and cocktail/mocktail corner. Enjoy a meal at either of the two indoor dining tables (each seating 6) or feast outdoors overlooking the water, at the patio dining set in the gazebo. You can even set up a buffet or cocktail style at one of the picnic tables along the edge of the yard. The mealtime possibilities are endless.
Passing through the kitchen, you’re instantly met with the sight of a striking wall of windows. The sunroom spanning the entire river-facing side of the house, not only serves as an observation space to enjoy the views but also as a peaceful spot to sip your morning coffee, evening cocktail, or as a place to just be still. You can get cozy on the couch, one of several chairs or on the ultra-cushy oversized pouf (that folds out into a bed), situated looking out to the water and lush forest, just beyond. As phenomenal as this space is, you’ll want to make your way outside for the best features of this home.
The backyard is where you want to be. Choose to stretch out on the couch under the stunning vine-covered patio or sit at the dining table under the gazebo, curl up in the hanging egg chairs or layout on the loungers. Or maybe find yourself a comfy spot to tell stories, laugh and make memories, sitting around the firepit. No matter where you decide to post up, you’re poised for ultimate relaxation and enjoyment.
For the people/boat-watching aficionado, the daytime traffic can serve as entertainment and facing the Ouachita National Forest, you’re also certain to spot some of amazing wildlife that inhabits the area. Witness minks scurry along the retaining wall, and blue herons majestically swoop down and perch there too. For the bird watchers, fill the feeders out back, sit back and enjoy the action. The winged friends are sure to flock, considering this area is home to more than 300 species of birds.
Not interested in sitting around? Then let your competitive side come out with a game of cornhole or jumbo-sized Jenga. Play in the yard or make the most of the private and direct access to the water just a few yards away. You can drop a line and fish for trout or bass to name a few—or drop in a kayak or stand-up paddleboard—all right off the embankment. And for boating guests, we invite you to bring your boat! The water’s edge is rigged with mooring whips and cleats, so you can safely keep your boat at bay.
Relaxation and recreational fun aside, the most magical and serene experiences to be had at this property, come at various times throughout the day but are all observed from the same vantage point. Full-sensory delights to be reveled in while overlooking the water: At dawn, and sometimes early afternoon or evening, when the weather conditions are just right, a thick fog beautifully (yet eerily) rises from the water to cover the view of all but the treetops of the dense forest ahead. The layer of mist hovers only for a while, creating an otherworldly illusion impressively reflected on the water, then clearing to once again reveal the trees. At sunset, you can catch the sun slowly diving behind the forest, magnificently casting orange, pink, and yellow hues over the shimmering water, then the warm glow peeks through the trees as it finally descends out of sight. As the evening goes on, you’re now left to marvel at the dazzling twinkle of a star-filled, clear, dark sky totally undisturbed by city lights.
While you’ll likely be spending most of your time enjoying the incredible views or all the area has to offer, you will need a place to retire and recharge so you can wake up and do it all over again. Make your way down the hallway to find a peaceful retreat in one of the secondary bedrooms. This room features a plush, cozy queen bed and is adjacent to a spa-like bath with an updated floor-to-ceiling tiled walk-in shower. Complete with ambient lighting and sound, provided by an integrated Bluetooth speaker exhaust vent LED light, you can really take a moment to refresh in this space. Just connect to your favorite music and jam out or Zen out—whatever your shower tunes or karaoke preference may be, you’re in control. The other secondary bedroom has two, 3-tier, single bunk beds and opens to the sun/Arkansas room. Or retire to the primary bedroom where you’ll drift off into the dreamiest, restful sleep in an ultra-comfortable, queen bed and enjoy the privacy of the en-suite bathroom. This is the best room in the house to wake up in, also connecting to the sun/Arkansas room and offering an extended view of the incredible scenery.
For your lounging and entertainment pleasure, the queen-bed bedrooms and the living room are stocked with Smart TVs, so get some Netflix going, or binge on any of the popular streaming options.
Additional spaces include a utility room, fitted with a high-capacity washer and dryer, iron and ironing board for all your laundering needs.

We had a very nice stay at this Lake Hamilton home. It held our family well; 5 adults, 1 teenager, and 1 elementary aged child all found comfortable accommodations here. We definitely took advantage of the outdoor space using the fire pit, kayaks and paddle boards daily. Another favorite spot for our group was the sunroom where we could escape the heat but still enjoy watching boaters pass by. We were able to slow down and reconnect with each other but also found travel into downtown Hot Springs easy to navigate when we wanted to explore.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear your family felt right at home and enjoyed the outdoor amenities — the fire pit, kayaks, and paddle boards are some of our favorites too! It’s wonderful that the sunroom gave you a relaxing spot to unwind and enjoy those lake views. We’d love to welcome you all back anytime you’re in Hot Springs!
This property was perfect for a quick getaway. The back deck area was gorgeous and provided ample space to relax and take in the fall weather. The house was clean and well stocked.
We had a wonderful time here for a week. Loved sitting by the lake all hours of the day fishing, watching boats . We had a mink for a visitor, watched her and her 3 babies. Had a couple of small problems and they were taken care of within 30 minutes. When it was raining we sat in the sunroom and still had the great view of the lake. Very nice place

Thank you so much for the kind review! We're so glad to hear you had a wonderful week enjoying the lake, the wildlife, and the peaceful views—even in the rain. It was our pleasure to take care of the small issues quickly, and we’re thrilled that you were able to relax and enjoy your stay. We’d love to host you again anytime!
Lakeside retreat! We enjoyed relaxing in this charming house right on the water. Our first evening we were greeted by owls as we enjoyed our dinner. Over the next few days we saw blue herons and bald eagles (yes plural)! We loved that we were able to bring our dog and the fenced in yard meant she had plenty of space to explore. The back of the house is set up with such nice seating areas. The vine covered area with hanging lights was one of my favorites! I would love to come back while it’s in bloom, I’m sure it is breathtaking. We enjoyed meals at the table under the gazebo and lounged by the water most of the time watching the fish jumping, the boaters and the beauty of the National Forest across the lake. The house is comfortable, thoughtfully stocked and the kitchen is very clean and well equipped!
Perfect scenery! Close to all activities that we wanted to do. Loved morning coffee in the sunroom with gorgeous views. Cooked meals and ate on the patio overlooking Lake Ouachita. Played games and had a wonderful time!
We enjoyed the water view and back patio very much! There were some issues with not having enough hot water everytime we showered. It was very dark in one bedroom bc there was no remote to the overhead light on the fan and no other lamp. We had to use the bathroom and closet light to see at all. Overall we had a good stay. Thank you!

Thank you for your feedback! We’re so glad to hear you enjoyed the water view and back patio—it’s one of our favorite features as well. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience with the hot water and lighting in the bedroom. We’ll be addressing both of these issues to ensure future guests have a more comfortable stay. Your comments help us improve, and we truly appreciate you bringing them to our attention. We’re happy to hear that overall you had a good stay, and we’d love to host you again in the future!
Absolutely gorgeous property!! Sitting in that sunroom with the river view is worthy of a vacation itself. Property was clean and comfortable. Plenty of kayaks and paddle boards. Kitchen stocked, host responsive. Definitely 10/10 stay.
This property is amazing and is exactly as it is described in its listing. We wanted to give our friends from France a little taste of Arkansas' natural beauty, and this was definitely the right place. We saw rabbits, deer, and geese without leaving the property. We spent time near the water and on the water (but not in the water this time of year). We pulled the boat right up to the house then toured Lake Hamilton. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. The neighbors were even friendly! This place absolutely deserves a 5-star rating!

Thank you so much for your kind words and for choosing our property to share a bit of Arkansas’ natural charm with your friends from France! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the wildlife, the lake access, and the peaceful surroundings. It’s wonderful to know the home had everything you needed, and that even the neighbors added to the experience. We’d be happy to host you again any time—maybe next time during swimming season!
Wonderful stay at Hamilton Isle. House was fantastic for our family of 5. Couldn’t ask for a better view from the enclosed porch overlooking the water. We spent most of the time we were in the house staring out at that view of the lake and forest on the far bank! House had everything we needed for our three night stay. Close to Hot Sorings and all the food and activities one could want. Couldn’t recommend Chris and this property enough. We would definitely come back!

Me and 4 friends came down for Spring Break with the intention of doing some Crystal Mining and relaxing. We were 45 minutes from Wegner Mines, 20 minutes from Coleman mines and 15-20 from downtown Hot Springs. We brought 3 small dogs and the property manager was very accommodating. When we arrived the smoke alarm was beeping and they came right away to repair it!We enjoyed sitting out back in the evening cleaning our crystals and did some fishing and caught a Muskie and a blue gill. So exciting!! Communication was great and they always responded quickly. Highly recommend eating at Wards Crawfish Hole and we also enjoyed the Grateful Head Pizza! Great property 🤩manager was very accommodating.

Just Ok
The home was clean and located in a beautiful setting right on the river. We really enjoyed using the kayaks and spending time outdoors. However, a few things made the stay just okay. The beds were uncomfortable, which impacted our rest. The grill was in poor condition—the burners were rusted out and made it tough to cook, and the smoker wouldn’t light at all. Also, the master bathroom was extremely small, which made it less comfortable than expected. With a few updates, this place could be much better.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We're really glad to hear you enjoyed the riverfront setting and had a great time using the kayaks and spending time outdoors.
We truly appreciate you sharing the areas where we can improve. We're sorry to hear that the beds and the grill impacted your overall experience—your comfort is very important to us. We’ll be assessing the grill and smoker right away and will look into replacing or upgrading them as needed. We'll also be reviewing the mattresses to see what adjustments can be made.
Regarding the master bathroom, we understand that size can make a difference in comfort, and we’ll be sure to update our listing to set clearer expectations for future guests.

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Starting with the outside…pictures showed well maintained exterior with large outdoor patio and lots of furniture but every piece of furniture was covered in spiderwebs, dust, tree debris and clearly nothing had even been swept off. Yard had last falls dead leaves, debris and dead branches laying everywhere. Front entrance was dirty as well, filthy windows, and upon entrance to the house the only surfaces that were clean were hard surfaces, counter tops etc. Throw rugs were dirty, area rug in living room stained and dirty, sofa in living room stained and dirty and upholstered chairs all had visible dog hair on them. Lastly, flat bedsheet was dirty and white bathroom hand towel was stained as well as 1st wash rag I grabbed. I would appreciate a refund of the 125 service fee.
First of all the host, Chris, hung up on me as I was voicing my frustration at the outside condition, grass and weeds that were literally knee high and limbs that covered the yard, front and back, the property appeared to be abandoned! The property is seriouslyin need of cleaning and maintenance. Outdoor furniture is rusty, filthy and falling apart, not the relaxing place by the river that we paid for at all. The house smelled musty and moldy, not clean at all, most disappointing!! in need of

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize for your experience during your stay. We take your concerns seriously, and I’m truly sorry that the property did not meet your expectations, especially regarding cleanliness and the condition of the outdoor areas.
I’d like to clarify that this is not the standard we aim to provide for our guests. I understand how frustrating it must have been to encounter overgrown grass, unkempt outdoor furniture, and the musty smell inside the house. Please know that we are addressing the issues you've mentioned with our maintenance team to ensure that this does not happen again.
Once again, I apologize for the disappointment and assure you that we’re working to improve the property to provide a more enjoyable experience for all future guests.
Our family goes on a nature vacation each October. We chose to stay here because of the backyard and closeness to Hot springs National park and the lake. The neighborhood and drive in was easy and quiet which we loved! We got to fish, and explore a bit of the river as well as spend a day a Hot springs national park.
Upon arriving,, the floor yard and outdoor area was a bit washed up due to the recent rain storms… the home has plenty of rooms and amenities that supplied our stay well. Kitchen was stocked with tools and accessories to cook meals along with the gas grill outside.
Pros:
Supplied kayaks and paddle to use ( No PFDs bring your own)
Kitchen had fridge( was leaking and not running well) / microwave/ stove/ stocked with the usual
Bathrooms clean and stocked
Bedding- sheets looked clean, but the blankets were bit dirty or had dry leaves etc
Chris the manager was very responsive and helped a lot :)
Close by to grocery stores
Cons
- backyard was messy due to storm and patio furniture was not clean enough to sit on
Patio area could use some cleaning
- the washer/dryer need’s finessing as the door is damaged
- fridge was not working - never got up to normal fridge temps
Furniture inside house seems dirty and floors were not mopped and had dirty spots on some areas of the house
Overall it was a good stay, I just wished it was visited to make sure everything was visit ready, but we still enjoyed the home and the overall stay and hospitality.
