BEDROOMS & BATH This two-story home sleeps up to four guests in two bedrooms. Rest easy in the master bedroom, furnished with a comfortable queen bed. The second bedroom is outfitted with two twin beds. The bathroom is configured with a double vanity and tub/shower combination.
OUTDOOR AREAS Make use of the gas grill and host a cookout on the deck. Dine alfresco in the fresh sea air at the picnic table. Enjoy swimming and kayaking right from your property at high tide -- from your own private beach! (Please note that the waterfront is tidal, which means the water level will vary throughout the day.) A firepit is available in summer months for roasting s’mores.
EXTRA AMENITIES & MORE DETAILS Guest amenities include beach chairs, complimentary Wi-Fi, a DVD player, washer/dryer, and driveway parking for two cars. This rental does not have air-conditioning or a dishwasher. Each home comes with full linens and one set of towels per guest. So, if the home accommodates 6 people, you'll find 6 sets of towels waiting for you.
Feel free to use the washer and dryer on-site to freshen them up anytime.
Further, Coastal Maine Vacations has you covered with a handy starter kit. We provide an initial supply of shampoo, conditioner, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, soaps, trash bags, and more. While it's not meant to last your entire stay, it's perfect to get you through your first night or two and help you settle in comfortably.
THE LOCATION Beautifully situated on a quiet inlet just 10 miles west of the Hulls Cove Visitors Center at Acadia National Park, this cottage is ideal for exploring Maine’s natural landscape. Enjoy waterfront activities on the Narrows and at various lakes across the island. Or hike on a myriad of trails in the park. Drive 13.5 miles to discover a plethora of dining and shopping options in downtown Bar Harbor. Soak up the sun on Sand Beach (20 miles). Watch for wildlife, including seals, otters, and a variety of New England sea birds.
Mount Desert Isle offers an endless array of activities for everyone. Some of the things to do in Acadia National Park include: a visit to Sand Beach, Thunder Hole and Otter Cliff. A drive up Cadillac Mountain for sunrise or sunset and a bike ride past the The Bubbles and high tea and popovers at Jordon Pond House. Tour the stunning gardens at Asticou or take a boat ride out of Northeast Harbor. Take a Glider or Bi-Plane Ride over the Park out of the Hancock Bar Harbor Airport in Trenton for some great perspective on Mount Desert Isle.
On the ocean and land, visitors and guests can tour Mount Desert Isle on their own, or let experienced Maine guides show them the way. For cyclists, there are 55 miles of carriage trails that lace their way through Acadia National Park. Bike beside crystal clear lakes and spectacular mountains or take a bus or trolley tour.
There are local companies and expert registered Maine Guides that know wildlife and the history of Downeast Acadia offering walking tours of Bar Harbor. Rent a kayak or canoe and tour on your own or better still in the company of Maine Guides and explore Mount Desert Island’s fascinating harbors and coast. Or set sail with one of the professional tour boats from Bar Harbor in search of lighthouses, whales, seals, seabirds or set sail for a day aboard a Schooner.
Coastal Maine Vacations requires a Safety background check and a rental contract to be signed at the time of booking. If you would like to see a copy in advance please contact us.
