Managed by the Castle Hotel Group, the resort features stunning ocean vistas, well manicured gardens, and plenty of aloha! It is the perfect setting to enjoy Kona's 300+ days of sunshine a year! Your vacation home is extremely well located. Walk to the adjacent harbor at Keauhou Bay where you can organize sport fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, outrigger canoeing, and sunset sails.

You might also go snorkeling at Kahalu'u beach (thought by many to have the best snorkeling on the island) or go boogie boarding at White Sands Beach--both beaches are close by and feature lifeguards (hours/days vary). Similarly, pampering can be found at the nearby Outrigger Keauhou Spa. Restaurants and shops are conveniently located just up the hill at Keauhou Shopping Center.

There are also trips to Waipi'o Valley in the north for hiking and horseback riding; helicopter tours; hiking and viewing the active Kilauea Volcano in the south; and treks up Mauna Kea, a volcanic peak rising some 14,000 feet above sea level!

Tropical sea views to remember

The unit and views were exactly as advertised-wonderful. We had a great busy week in Kona, even when Hurricane Hone hit the other side of the island. Those 13,000' volcanoes kept it over there.

Magical ocean view

My husband and I stayed at this lovely condo for a month and it was absolutely amazing. The best parts were having coffee on the lanai every morning, the ample space, beautiful decor, and just the ease of feeling at home. The bed slept comfortably, and the A/C kept the space cool. We would love to stay here again in the future.

Such a perfect spot to sit and watch the ocean with whales passing by. Beautiful sunsets! Shopping center close by with several restaurants, a grocery store, and a farmer’s market on Saturdays. Lovedour stay!

Great views

We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. The location was great! The lanai was a nice size and we had exceptional views. The grounds are very well maintained. The condo is well stocked and any issue that came up the property manager, Trixie, was always quick to respond in helping us. We would definitely stay here again. Our only small negative is that the flooring could be updated.

Very nice property. Great view. However; the air conditioner could not keep the temperature comfortable in the late afternoon. Most days it exceeded 80 degrees. One day it was 84 on the thermostat. Considerably higher in the living room.

WOW!

We have been coming to the islands for over 40 years and nothing tops this accommodation. The appointments are quite breathtaking, to say the least. The surroundings are very private and peaceful with only the waves slapping on the ancient lava flow right off the private deck. We were there as Hurricane Lane passed which brought some heavy rain on Hilo side but it did not dampened our enjoyment of our stay. Highly recommend.

Best Place to Stay!!

"Million Dollar view" describes it perfectly as you sit on the lanai with waves rolling onto the lava no more than 50' away. The first floor condo is beautiful with Asian & Hawaiian decor. The kitchen is outfitted as well as my own. Ignore an earlier comment about stains on the carpet; yes, other renters have been careless but not enough to detract from this exceptional condo. The area is so much lovelier than Alii Drive and the main snorkel charters are 5 minutes away. Don't miss out & stay somewhere else!!

Great Vacation Property - Superb Oceanfront Unit, Great Snorkeling/Beaches, Nice Interior

Quality, comfortable, oceanfront (not just ocean view) unit in the very nice Keauhou resort neighborhood. Close to the touristy hot mess that is Kailua-Kona town (15 minutes) but far enough to feel like a local in a very quiet, well maintained part of the Big Island (beautifully landscaped, fabulous sunsets, and adjacent to a golf course). About 20-30 minutes south of the KONA airport so very accessible and easy to get to. Comfortable, clean, tropical-ish interior and furnishings. Spacious and clean throughout. Excellent restaurants, grocery stores (KTA) and drug store (Longs) in shopping complex nearby (2 minutes). Just be prepared for the relatively high prices on everything since almost everything has to be shipped in from somewhere else. Farmer's market on Saturdays in this complex with lots of great local produce (mac nuts, honey, tropical fruits, etc.). Tip: Just don't get any of the expensive baked goods sold there if you are looking for something tasty - very average (dry and tasteless) and in some cases, downright inedible gloppy messes of saccharine sweet tropical fruit flavored concoctions). However, we bought some of the stuff anyhow to support the locals. Well-furnished kitchen with all of the amenities and accoutrements to make a great meal. Close to excellent snorkeling and swimming beaches (5 minutes away), including your own swimming lagoon next door to the complex. Down the street from where many of the water excursion boats depart (Captain Cook snorkeling, dolphin tours, night manta ray dives). Clean, refreshing, well-maintained ocean front pool less than 100 yards away if you feel like a quick dip. Very accommodating and responsive owner/property manager (even offered us a refund if we had wanted to leave early on account of Hurricanes Madeline/Lester). Well-located for all of your Big Island outdoor excursions (volcanos, cowboy country in Waimea, green sand beach, Waipio black sand beaches, and Hapuna Beach). Only downside is that you have to pay extra ($25/day plus tax) for air conditioning but we found it totally necessary for sleeping on those hot humid nights where the air is so thick you feel like you can drink the air and everything feels slightly damp including your sheets and body. There were decent ocean breezes at times while we were there in August/early September, but all those did was to blow hot humid air around, so worth getting the air conditioning option.
