Lake House retreat

Freshly renovated Lake house retreat for couples, small families or anglers alike! This amazing lake house on an ESPN Bass Fishing lake has all the Amenities needed to unplug and unwind from the daily grind. Come hang out and relax on deck overlooking lake or sit by a fire pit and share a fishing story. This home is close to local Boat launch, shopping, dinning, gas stations and more. Recently added Kayak's to rent to enhance your vacation.

Water levels are subject to change due to being controlled by TVA. May - October they are at full pool levels. During certain times of the year November-April, there is potentially no water at dock. These are also subject to change during major weather events.

During the late summer months late July/August there potentially can be excessive weeds in the cove. Due to TVA rules/requirements we are not able to spray chemicals to remove. This could effect your ability to swim until your out deeper in the lake.

Our home is located in a humid location right on the water, and while we maintain a clean and tidy space where a pest company comes every two weeks. You may encounter some common to Tennessee household insects from time to time. Ranging from Ant to Spiders to Cockroaches. We take preventative measures, but nature is part of the charm in this location. If you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us, and we'll address them as quickly as possible."

For the price, I expected a little bit more. A single window unit does not adequately cool then entire unit during the summer. The back right burner knob on the range did not function correctly. Had to use a lighter to ensure gas was all the way off. The location itself is great for fishing and the dock outback made this even more convenient. The couch is small and not comfortable at all. The unit was clean. Overall, I think some minor upgrades would make this more comfortable for the price.

Sandhill Crane stay

We, my husband and I, planes this visit around the Hiwasee refuge viewing platform which we visited on Feb 14 and the 15th. The only issue for a Tesla driver is accuracy in driving distances. It is a 20 min drive to the Hiwasee viewing platform and Blythe's Ferry from the property. It states 4 minutes drive in the listing . Maybe by boat?

The property was not entirely up to standards. The floor was wavy with a soft spot leading from the living area to the bedroom. Ceilings are low. There was a slight musty smell. I suspect a history of water damage. The couch is very small. The dock was not usable, even though lake was at summer pool. Half of the dock was on shore. The grass hadn’t been mowed in quite some time when we arrived Thursday evening. It did get mowed at some point Friday while we were out. A lot of construction trash under the deck (there were boards up to attempt to hide the trash). Overall quality and appearance of the rental I say is below average. On a good note: the rental was clean and the host was responsive. To be honest, I did not complain to the host. The property is what it is, they cannot fix what complaints I had in a short amount of time. We just made the best of it and ended up leaving a day early.
