What an amazing property We had a golf outing group of 16 stay and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Plenty of roof for sleeping and enough baths for a large group. The house is immaculate and having a fire pit, seating around the pond and 2 large patios make the outside as good as the inside. The check in and check out were very easy and the owner’s communication was top notch Thank you for a great stay!!!!

The house was spacious and well stocked. The property was beautiful with plenty of outdoor area. The house was close to many resturants and points of interest. Mark was an amazing host.

It perfectly blends historic character with modern comforts, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home.The house was spotless, thoughtfully furnished, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The peaceful property was the perfect place to unwind, yet it was just minutes from Chautauqua Institution, making it an ideal location. We especially enjoyed spending time on the porches and taking in the beautiful surroundings.Mark and Rebecca were exceptional hosts—friendly, responsive, and clearly passionate about making their guests feel welcome. Their attention to detail truly shows in every aspect of the home.We visited Gracewood with our pups and 5 teenage girls. Everyone had an amazing time. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and are already looking forward to returning next year. Amazing Country Escape

Annual family ski trip in January. We have always stayed at Peek N Peak in the past but wanted to try something different. The house is beautiful and located close enough that we decided to try it. We want to go back this Summer!

Annual Girls Weekend Trip

We've been doing a girls weekend for 15 years now and the stay here was one of the best. We use VRBO to book different houses in different areas and we loved this house in Chautauqua. House had a ton of room. Plenty of sleeping space for our group. We loved the kitchen - very cozy and had everything we needed. Firepit was great. Lots of nice long walks on the property throughout our three day stay. Restaurants and Spa less than 10 minutes away. Great time and we will be back.

Beautiful property

Gracewood has been beautifully renovated while still retaining the charm of the original structure. Our party consisted of five adults, six children and one pooch. There was ample space to play and relax both inside and out. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you may need. We spent a good portion of our time baking and were pleasantly surprised to find everything we may need. Mark was an excellent host and maintained speedy response times throughout our stay. We will definitely book again!

Wonderful getaway!

We spent a few days at Gracewood and loved everything about it! Mark and Rebecca were wonderful to communicate with and so accomodating. The home was so well stocked - there wasn't anything we needed that wasn't at our fingertips. We cooked at home two of the four nights we were there and the kitchen had everything we needed. The coffee/tea bar was great - a little bit of everything! The home itself is redone beautifully. We spent a lot of time reading and walking the grounds with our dog. We would definitely stay here again - it would be perfect for a large family gathering but was perfectly cozy for the two of us. We appreciated the quiet but yet it was so close to Chautauqua Institution, (which is beautiful to walk through in the winter months) restaurants, and our favorite brewery - Big Inlet. Thank you, Rebecca and Mark!

Family celebration

This property is in a tranquil setting and is a century home that has been restored and modernized with love and imagination. The kitchen with a large island and two seating areas is equipped with all you need to manage any cooking or baking you plan to do. The beautiful, huge dining room can comfortably seat at least 20. The living room invites a group to play games, sit and read, play the piano or gather and converse. There are two outside seating areas. One has a glass topped table and chairs. There is a fire pit and Adirondack chairs. The washer and dryer are in a utility area which we used to store coolers, etc. The back enclosed porch was great for morning coffee and conversation. Upstairs the bathrooms were modernized and the towels were plentiful and nice. Each bedroom is unique and all of us were comfortable and slept well. We only had one ten year old with us and it was easy to keep him busy with fishing in a small pond, jigsaw puzzles, Lego and campfires. We had a fabulous time and Mark and Rebecca were easy to communicate with and have done a great job of restoration. GraceWood is named after their mothers and their Mothers would be proud!The towns around Mayville were fun to explore. We rented a pontoon boat on Lake Chatauqua, rode the ferry from Stow to Bemis Point, went to a vineyard for wine tasting, had campfires, played games, had the ability for quiet or private time in the house, and went hiking in several areas. It was perfection. Thank you M and R!
