Great place, we’ll be back

Kids enjoyed playing at the Riverside Park playground before and after meals. Quick and easy access to Monarch. We will be back next year for more fun and relaxation. Location and price of this place are unbeatable. Host is quick to respond to questions.

Salida weekend getaway

Dvora’s place was perfect for my husband and I. It’s a great old charming home with a nice backyard with a view of Tenderfoot Mtn. The location is a couple of blocks from shops and restaurants yet is on a very quiet street. Check in/out was easy. Dvora responded quickly to messages. We will be back! Thank you!

Cute Salida Apartment in Amazing Location

This was hands down the best VRBO I've stayed at. The apartment was spotless, incredibly comfortable and well appointed, huge yard space, big kitchen, comfy beds, and a stone's throw from downtown and the river. We absolutely loved Salida, and would stay hear again in a heartbeat.

a March Salida Visit

This VRBO was a great experience! The owner was responsive and accommodating to our needs. It was the perfect size for my sister, my 6-year-old granddaughter and me! The only thing that could have made our trip better was the weather. we had to leave a day early because they were talking about a significant weather threat. We had a great week!

REALLY great place in great location.

Loved the space, location and ease of this rental. Not to mention the rate makes it more affordable for a 3 night stay. Would be our go to place if we came to Salida often. walking to downtown was our favorite part, it's on a super quiet side street, deer walked past everyday (using the sidewalk). Can't say enough good things. I wish the access information had been provided earlier and in the e-mail from VRBO, we had to text the owner directly to get the entry info. Otherwise...perfect!

Great location!

We had a delightful 3-night stay. It was unseasonably warm during our visit so we especially enjoyed the lovely shaded back yard with patio. The patio furniture was quite comfortable and the shaded yard provided us a welcome break from the heat. The location is perfect. We walked to the park, the river, the grocery, the post office, and a multitude of good restaurants and shops from the house. Oh, and we walked from the house to Tenderfoot Hill and hiked up it. Bed is comfortable and house is tastefully decorated.

Great location

No AC but opened windows and cooled off nicely. Comfortable bed. Weird thing though. The owner accused us of bringing a dog which we would never. We think a couple of hairs may have travelled in on a blanket we brought. So I guess, be sure you dont bring anything like that because they are sticklers!

Amazing property all around

The property is adorable. It felt like staying in a little art museum. The artwork is extraordinary. The property is well adorned with all of the necessary essentials plus. The location can't be beat. It is on a quiet street one block from the river and about three blocks from downtown. A plethora of shopping and dining within close walking distance. The grocery store was also close. We had a vehicle but never had to drive in town since everything was so close. We did drive to Monarch to ski, which was a short drive. There was a large back yard with bikes available. The washer and dryer, along with detergent, was very useful. The fireplace in the front room made everything cozy and warm. There are no cons to this property at all. A very strong 10 out of 10.

Comfy, Cozy Little House with Special Attention to Aesthetics and Quality

We loved our stay at the little red house and would definitely recommend it to friends! Good quality furnishings - really comfortable leather chairs, sofa bed, and queen bed with nice comforter, sheets, and blankets, wood flooring, 2-way opening windows and blinds for good ventilation with privacy, nice lighting in the kitchen, lovely soaking tub, a quick-boiling tea kettle, nice backyard with seating and table, good-sized tv monitor and free Netflicks, games, free internet and good iPod player - pictures are accurate.. Very convenient to river and historic part of town (good eats and interesting shops and entertainment). very well maintained and clean - amenities I'd have in my own house. Owner was very helpful and extremely accommodating to our needs, also gave us really good advice on restaurants. We'll definitely stay again when in the area.

Wow, Location is amazing.

This property located within easy walking distance to downtown and the river walk. We had everything we needed to cook many meals. Great layout in the home and the art on the walls is like sleeping in a gallery.

We moved to Salida to be near our grandchildren and to enjoy the outdoors. We are lovers of Argentine tango, so we built a dance studio here, and teach classes to build a tango dance community. Dvora is a well known artist. She paints in our new studio attached to the dance hall. You will see her work on the walls of your vacation home.
Steve is a retired ski instructor. He enjoys Monarch Mountain Ski resort which is an easy 25 minutes away. Our grandkids love having a private ski instructor.

Why they chose this property

We saw the potential in this 100 year old brick row house by the river. Renovating is like a three dimensional art project. It has been fun restoring the old wood moldings, keeping the charm, making it comfortable and beautiful.

We love it here so much and want to share it with our friends, family, visiting tango dancers, and you.

What makes this property unique

Salida has developed the trail system that begins 2 minutes from our door. You can wake early to hike or jump on your bike and head up 'S' Mountain'. The view of the valley is spectacular. Afterwords, walk to brunch by the river or sip coffee at one of our great coffee shops.

Salida is quite flat and delightful to see by bicycle. We have 2 very good adult mountain bikes for your use. They have quick release seats to adjust to your height.

We have supplied our guest house with several bottles of wine from our wonderful local winery, Vino Salida, for purchase. Check out their daily wine tasting.
There are several hot springs near Salida, and a hot springs pool in town They are perfect for after skiing or hiking. Mount Princeton Hot Springs and Salida Hot Springs Pool are great for kids as well as adults.

Riverside Park, which is just around the corner, has a playground, a climbing wall, amphitheater, and many summer events: live music, carnival, dancing,etc.

You will want to visit Culture Clash, a wonderful art gallery which features jewelry and art. Our daughter, Nicole has her jewelry studio there. Her work, as well as other local artists is worth checking out.
