We had a great stay at Casa Commodore twice this season. Always clean and it's like staying at grandma's. Very cozy and comfortable. Great location too. We'll stay there again when able.
A little outdated but a great home base for us close to town with plenty of room! The place was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our time in salida. Would highly recommend.
The house was large, open and comfortable for our family of 4 and our dog. The views were amazing, it was about 2 miles from town, and on a somewhat busy road, but we had no problems with that. The property management was terrific, great information provided in advance and when we left a few items they quickly had them mailed to us! Would absolutely stay again.

Thank you so much Sarah. We are so happy to hear that you had a great stay. Come back again soon!
Place was in good condition, dog friendly Had an issue with the downstairs tenant needing access to the breaker box while we were on the mountain. Other than that everything was fine.

Thank you for your feedback and for staying with us. We sincerely apologize for the interruption you experienced during your stay. This was a very rare and out-of-the-ordinary situation: on Christmas Day, a breaker serving the basement apartment unexpectedly tripped while the tenant was cooking, leaving her without power or heat. The breaker box is located in the main house, and access was needed to restore essential utilities. Under normal circumstances, we would never allow anyone to enter the home without a guest’s prior consent. This was an extraordinary exception made to address an urgent safety and comfort issue, and we truly regret any inconvenience it caused. We’ve adjusted protocall to ensure this situation will not happen again. We appreciate your understanding and are glad to hear you otherwise enjoyed the home.
The property was clean, neat. and roomy. It had everything, and then some, needed to cook and be comfortable. It is an older house with some history right on a bike path in between Salida and Poncha Springs. It was very easy to get to either town. The owners wrote a brief synopsis of the house, but I would love to know more. We think that it still must be in the original family and we're curious as to who Angie was?

Hi Jim. Thanks for the great review. We hope you come back and we will try to find out from the owners more history on the house. It is still in the original family which is so great and special.
The whole place was very well appointed with everything we needed easily at hand. Big, well-stocked kitchen, laundry, 2 bathrooms, cozy space on table with plenty of board games to play and even a piano. Very comfortable. The house is situated in a stunning location with 360 views of the mountains and decks for watching the sunrises and sunsets over the mountains. The house is on a quiet road so feels like being in the countryside yet Salida is only a very short ride away and can easily be reached by walking, or cycling, down the bike path which runs in front of the house. Thus it provides a lovely mix of country living with the lively town of Salida close by and with access to trails along the river or up into the hills above the town. I was just there in the autumn with the incredible autumn colors all around.I highly recommend this property for families or just couples/adults wanting a relaxing time surrounded by beauty but with good shops, food and entertainment very close at hand.
