It was the cutest motel made chic experience. It is clear that the owners put their blood, sweat and tears into this place to make it the cozy escape that it is. We will definitely be back!

Great space, cute and well-kept. Clean. Easy check-in and check-out, great host that was quick to respond to any messages. Many extras made it a great place, including the back space with lights and fire pit, easy and walking distance to a couple of food options and a gas station. Overall amazing! Would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful property!

This place has everything you need to feel like you’re at home. Wonderful location that’s a short drive to monarch mountain ski resort and many other great locations in Salida and Poncha Springs. The hosts were very helpful for any questions or needs. Would stay again 100%!

Dawn was an amazing host! Check-in was so easy with parking in front of our cabin! We highly recommend the Bird’s Nest if you’re traveling with 4-6 people. The two bedroom cabin with a tub/shower bathroom, living room, and kitchen was perfect for our family. The cabin was very cozy and clean, AC was set at a comfortable temperature for our arrival, and the backyard fire pit was beautiful and so relaxing. Dawn thought of everything you might need from bath towels, soap/shampoo/conditioner, and extra blankets, to phone chargers and Roku TV. The kitchen was stocked with everything from spices, dinnerware, silverware, utensils, full size refrigerator, and cleaning products. My husband grilled fresh trout, baked potatoes, and corn on the cob in the backyard grilling area, and had everything he needed to cook. We will definitely stay here again on our next Colorado vacation!

Cute, cozy, updated, would stay again

Cute decor, nicely updated, and great hosts. The private patio next to the stream was good. Blankets were soft and cozy. Shared fire pit and back yard were a nice feature. Bunk beds were a little firm for the adults in our group, but fine for the kids. The kitchen had everything we needed and the coffee was delicious. Location was convenient and we would stay here again.

The perfect Poncha place!

I can sum up our stay by saying now that we’re home, we wish we were back. Dawn and Jimmy are THE nicest people. They made sure we had everything we needed including beer! Out of all the VRBOs we’ve been to over the years, this was our favorite. They had great recommendations for things to do and places to eat or have a beverage. We highly recommend staying here.
