The host was very welcoming and gave us lots of tips for the area. The place was a little hard to find and the parking was tight. When we found the place it was very clean and welcoming.

You probably shouldn’t post this. The view from the room into the rain forest was lovely but it would be nicer if the cabin had an outdoor sitting space. The amenities were bad- insufficient regular coffee, coffee machine malfunctioned & had to be replaced, thin small towels & only 2, no soap in the dispensers or in the Nivea bottles in the shower, the sink soap dispenser had watered down soap so it was useless. The bed was comfortable however. I would not recommend this unit.
We loved everything about our stay in The Nene Room. The space was perfect for a short getaway. The bed was comfortable and we were thankful for the heater in the morning hours as the temps dipped quite a bit at night! The entire property was just stunning and felt like we had our own private retreat. Our favorite part of the accommodations was the large windows and the landscaping light that illuminated the tropical forest. I could've laid in bed staring that the beauty of the surrounding nature for days!
Great location. Cool little cabin with fantastic view out the windows. I liked this place, but parking is an issue. If all 4 parking spots had been used I am not sure how I would have gotten out early in the morning.
The Nene Room at the Pacifica Inn is a tropical oasis in a magical rain forest setting. It is a short drive to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and to Volcano village. The owners have thoughtfully provided everything necessary for a comfortable stay, and the view from the large corner windows is beyond gorgeous. The owner is very pleasant to work with and answers questions promptly. This could easily become your favorite place to stay when visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
Our stay at the Pacifica Inn was absolutely magical! The photos are accurate, much to my delight. I was skeptical that the views shown could be true, but they were! What wasn’t able to be shown was the fact that we could hear birdsong in the morning, and the gentle sounds of leaves blowing in the breeze. We stayed on three islands, and were in some ritzy resorts, but the Pacifica Inn was truly our favorite! It felt like an authentic Hawaiian experience. Jennifer was prompt and clear in communication, and very friendly and kind. We appreciated the location near Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park. There are also some really good restaurants in the area (a brewery/pizza place and a fancier restaurant) which was a plus. I would highly recommend Pacifica Inn!
This place had everything we needed for our 3 day stay in Volcano. Super convey location to the park, town and the host was great at communicating and accommodating our needs. She gave great suggestions for things to do and places to eat, too. We would definitely visit again if we ever make it back to HI/Volcano.

We stayed here when really bad Kona storms came through. I understand that isn't the fault of the owners, but they didn't let us know the power was out until after we came from the other side of the island and passed by restaurants and shops with power. I was irritated by the poor communication but was going to let it pass until the next day when we talked to another guy who came and said they didn't tell him the power was out either. So now I feel like they were trying to avoid cancellations. It's sucks because the room and property were actually really nice. But without power, there was *nothing* - not even running water. No shower, no toilet... They did bring us a pack of water and candles on the second night but it felt like an afterthought. If you stay here when there aren't the worst storms in a few decades, I bet it will be great. But if there's any inclement weather, maybe think of a Plan B.
GREAT place to stay if you want to relax and watch the birds in the jungle outside! We were able to see native 'apapane the very first day. Very peaceful and comfortable place.
From beginning to end the communication was great. The property is easy to locate and absolutely beautiful.

The best stay that i have ever been..the View is unbelievable..Thank you
Jennifer was a great host and she upgraded my partner and I for our anniversary which was totally unnecessary but very much appreciated! The location is beautiful and very close to Volcano National Park. Had all the amenities you’d need for a weekend trip but it could’ve been a bit cleaner. The floors and surfaces were sticky and the shower curtain needed to be changed out. But other than that, we would 100% stay here again.
Everything about this place is exactly what we expected. Wife and daughter loved it. Definitely a Big Island / Volcano experience. Small gripe, wished the parking was bigger, LOL.
We enjoyed our stay here. I would have liked to have a chest drawers or suitcase stand to put my bag on, along with clothes. (There were hooks.) Not a big deal, just a nicety that I missed. Other than that, it was super great to be able to hike in the park and come back for lunch or nap and return for sunset or other areas.

There is a narrow driveway and 4 parking spaces. Not easy to get in and out with large car when other cars are also parked.
Property was clean and as quaint as advertised. The bed was comfortable and the heater worked well. The dehumifier offered, while a nice gesture, was not adequate for the space. It would have been nice to have a table or suitcase rack to keep luggage off the floor. The only "real" problme was coffee maker did not work. We would definately stay here again.
The room was large, clean and situated in a very quiet neighborhood -- except for the local wildlife! Ear plugs were provided if desired.
The bed was very comfortable, the windows looked upon a lush tropical forest, and the water was quickly hot on tap. The electric wall heater was sufficient to keep the room at a nice temperature on the cool nights.
The room was equipped with a fast water heating appliance, coffee maker (with coffee cartridges), teas, water bottles, microwave and refrigerator. A two piece place setting was also provided.
One thing we did encounter was the high humidity after returning from a lengthy hike in the drizzle in the park never did go away even with the use of the provided mini dehumidifier.
We would happily stay here again!
