Aloha Paulo, I am glad you enjoyed your stay. We do everything we can to make the stay for each guest a comfortable experience. The beach items are not something we offer for obvious reasons - different people have different sizes and preferences. All our guests bring their own equipment for snorkeling, surf boards or boogie boards and toys for children. Some decide to leave them there. For that reason we provided a big box where everyone is leaving or taking items for use. Someone might have 2 more days of stay and their fins broke. If they don't want to buy a new pair, they might use some from that box and put them back.

Aloha Eric, Thank you for the five star review you gave us. In regard to the quiet hours, most cities and counties in US have city ordinances for quiet hours. The pictures on the VRBO, clearly show that it is a residential area. The area where the house is located is a quiet and safe residential area because most neighbors are retired and they don't like to party late. My concern for stating the common sense quiet hours are not too much for the caretaker as it is for the neighbors. There are two concerns with that: 1. They can call the police to enforce the city ordinances when loud music and parties are taking place late at night. 2. In the state of Hawaii, there is a strong opposition to VRBO in residential areas and one of the points they press on is the loud music and parties from tourists with no concerns for the lives of the people living there. We don't want to fuel that opposition even more. Some tourists like to blast loud music even late at night, with the doors opened, being a nuisance for the neighbors. Watching a movie after 9 PM with the windows and doors closed is not an issue for anyone. The reason I put it in house rules was to remind people what is just common sense, which has to be followed even in a hotel where the couple next door may want to sleep. The driveway is nothing I can do about. While it has a slope, it can be climbed by mopeds (I had people doing that). If a moped can make it, absolutely any car can make it. In my sixties, I can still go up and down. If someone can climb stairs, they can climb the driveway. I wrote in the listing about stairs. I had thousands of people driving up and down that driveway. It is straight. The development is on a hill and some driveways are even steeper than ours and they also have curves. It looks like you were able to go in reverse with your van; it is no longer there. If the driver is not a beginner, it is not difficult to go in reverse on a straight wide driveway.
