We had such a wonderful family weekend at this nice little cabin while we visited our daughter at Ohio University. It was very clean and comfortable. It was not too far from campus but allowed us time away from the hustle of Athens activities in the country side. We definitely will try to stay here again on future visits.

If you're looking for quiet, secluded, and you're wanting relaxation, this place is for you. Very pet friendly, my golden loved hunting for sticks, laying in the grass, and watching the deer.

What a great relaxing stay in a clean and cozy cabin! Lisa was a great host. Very responsive, cookies were a great touch. My girls loved staying in the loft. We live close enough to visit here again and again. Our dogs enjoyed the stay as well. The kitchen had everything you need. So many quaint touches by the host that made the stay perfect.

Super relaxing stay! We were greeted by a deer as soon as we arrived and turkey walking by the next morning. Sitting on the front porch by day and around the campfire by night was enjoyable. The beds were super comfy and Lisa was quick to respond to any questions. Thank you for the hospitality!!

The cabin was a great stay for Dad's weekend. We had everything we needed and more! The host was very nice and even made us cookies! The hammocks were great, the boys fell asleep for about an hour in them. I didn't get to write in the guest book, but I would definitely stay here again.

My son and his wife chose this property for their honeymoon. They had their choice to basically go anywhere , but they were enamored with this cozy cottage from first sight. It met their every expectation and more. They said everything was stocked well with tp, towels and anything they would/could need. They said the host was amazing and called mid week to check on their supplies and to see if they needed anything. She also made them delicious cookies as a welcome gift and asked if they needed more when checking on supplies. The check in process was easy peasy, and stress free. The beds were super comfortable and they really enjoyed the swing on the front porch, the unobstructed views and they have never seen so many stars . The nightly star gazing was a definite highlight. The basement was comfy and a great place to relax and watch a movie after a long day. The locals were so friendly and welcoming they had had a great time exploring the locals recommendations, they went to local bars. Restaurants, festivals, collaged , breweries vineyards etc, and enjoyed everything in town and all the surrounding areas immensely. They’ve been on a lot of trips and said, hands down this one was top of the list. In fact they are now looking into buying land and their own log cabin, for their forever home, after having such a wonderful experience. The host was more than accommodating and willing to go above and beyond. We highly recommend this property, it was so warm & cozy, felt like home!

Wonderful stay!

Only stayed as a couple but this place could easily accommodate a family! It was clean and beyond comfortable! Two great bathrooms and two comfortable sitting areas to watch TV. Quiet and private! Host left us cookies upon arrival, which were delicious by the way. And honestly, one of my favorite touches was her instruction not to clean upon leaving because we were on vacation. That was awesome! Thank you so much for having us!

Cabin review

Overall very nice place, only frustration was not being able to use the fireplace. Wish I would have known that prior to booking. One of my favorite things about renting a cabin in the woods is to have a fire going in the fireplace.

Hi Michelle! Thank you so much for staying with us and I’m glad you had a good time! But I’m confused about the fireplace… it’s noted in the listing description and in the personal welcome message that the fireplace is not available for use.

Peaceful Retreat

We were in the area for college orientation at Ohio University for our daughter. This property provided our family with peace and comfort after a busy and emotional day to reflect and process. The cabin and grounds are well taken care of and very clean. The layout allows for everyone to enjoy each other’s company without feeling like you are on top of each other. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. The location was great and very easy to get to campus. Truly a haven.

Everything we wanted and more

We were beyond pleased with our stay. Lisa was a fantastic host and had added so many nice touches to this cabin to make our stay perfect. We grilled steaks on the grill, took a walk along the paths, watched the deer graze while sitting on the front porch at dusk, and roasted marshmallows at the fire pit outside. You can have Uber Eats deliver marshmallows, btw, if you forget them. The college is pretty close, so lots of good food options nearby. The bed was comfy. Fooseball table and games were a nice touch. Lisa was available if we needed her. It was an overall amazing stay and we plan to come back.

Cozy Home Away From Home

This property is a FANTASTIC find. We needed a home base because we took my husband’s parents to OU Homecoming and to visit the family’s newest bobcat. It’s difficult not to gush about this property. When we arrived there were fresh and yummy cookies to greet us! They had everything we could have needed— spices, shower supplies, detergent & more. The basement was awesome with comfy furniture, big TV for the OSU game & video games for the kids. (We unexpectedly had 2 teenagers because they didn’t want to leave!) I can’t recommend this property more. It was beautiful with deer & wildlife everywhere. It is the best VRBO we have ever reserved and we have enjoyed at least 20 properties. Thank you!
