Sweet Cherry is a beautiful studio cottage in the heart of Suttons Bay that is perfect for two. Open year round, this retreat has all the comforts of home. Spacious living/dining/sleeping area plus one bathroom. Sleeps up to 3.

Queen Murphy bed plus aero bed air mattress. Modern mini kitchen. Big, flat panel TV with cable.

West Grand Traverse Bay is just across the side street. Sit out on the small patio and enjoy the water view. In the summer, enjoy the beautiful sandy beach and marina. Suttons Bay Library is steps away and welcomes guests to check out books and videos. Thinking of bringing a couple of friends? Rent Little Legal Beagle or Front Cottage across the driveway from Sweet Cherry. You don't have to drive at all when you stay here--restaurants, shops, and even the movie theater are within walking distance. About 20 minutes to Traverse City and 30 minutes to the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Head north and try your luck at the Leelanau Sands Casino.

Your WELL-MANNERED pet is welcome. Linens are provided. Mini split for A/C and heat. WiFi access nearby.

Great Stay for Fall Colors

Very cute cottage in a great location in Suttons Bay. Short walk to docks, beach and town. We hit this at just the right time for a fall color long weekend. Definitely would recommend.

Perfect place for 2

Adorable place right in Suttons Bay…perfect for my husband, me and our dog. It was close to restaurants and many wineries which we enjoyed visiting. Highly recommend!

Girls Birthday Weekend!!

The Coral Shutter Cottage is perfect for a weekend get a way! The accommodations are just as you see the pics on line, right in town to walk to restaurants & shops, the beach is right behind it so can walk to as well. There is a lovely winery right across the street, the others are a short drive. We enJOY’d our time in Suttons Bay!!

The cottage was in a great location to explore Leland, Suttons Bay and Traverse City. Also made Suttons Bay super walkable, its located near ice cream, the library, the beach, and other nice restaurants. If you are planning to cook, be sure to bring an extra baking sheet, but other than that the cottage provided everything necessary to cook! Would love to return to this place in the future:)

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The heater was not working properly so my husband and I had too sleep in our clothes to keep warm. We called Saturday morning and they sent someone out and said the fan was not turned on. They turned it on when we came back that night house was still cold so we had to sleep in our clothes again to stay warm . Luckily there was a space heater we could use when we were awake so at least we could take a stand change clothes. After checking out I called again to let them know the heater still needed to be fixed. At no time was I offered a discount or a credit for my next rental for this less the pleasant experience.

A break from isolation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a very cute cottage and we enjoyed our stay in Sutton’s Bay. When we arrived, we found we there was no hot water. Although is was June 8, we were the first renters of the season. We put in a call and the owner and property manager were there within 15 minutes, so that was great. We did feel the place needed a touch up clean. There were lots of spider webs, and it looked a bit dusty. We loved the decorating, but it needs a spruce up, new carpet and a new couch would be great. We would stay there again, as the location was terrific with beach and many shops and restaurants within walking distance.

After a mix-up we were placed in a different property last minute

Given this was a holiday weekend, it's understandable that we didn't have a lot of options through Visit Up North Vacation Rentals when our first booking fell through. We booked a couple of weeks in advance for the Coral Cottage in Suttons Bay, but there was a miscommunication between the owner and Visit Up North had to relocate us to another property. It was farther away than we liked, and more rustic but it was fine for our 3 night stay. The 2 bedroom cottage on Big Glen Lake is old but had some updates. It's part of Brookhaven and has 5 cottages. On the downside: the floor was uneven, there was a slight mildew smell in the bathroom, and it had no TV or dishwasher. However, it had the basics: WiFi, kitchen with gas stove, fridge, bathroom with hot shower, and comfortable bed in the master. The one electric heater for the cottage worked, but it was hard to adjust without a thermastat. Big Glen Lake is beautiful. The cottages here offer a quiet getaway right on the lake with no frills, and some outdoor activities. Kayaks are available, and there's a fire pit near the lakefront. The rowboats have leaks and need to be repaired. All-in-all Brookhaven is a bit rundown and needs a few more updates. But, it has some charm. There is a tennis court, and a large backyard area with a volleyball net. We had planned activities in Traverse City including wine tastings and a fishing trip in Charlevoix. So, we didn't spend a lot of time at the cottage. It is close to the Leelenau Penninsula wineries and Sleeping Bear Dunes. Glen Arbor is cute, but there are only a few restaurants. It gets very busy during holidays.

Small Cottage - good location

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was in great proximity to many area attractions. Parking was convenient in front to easily unload. Close to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked, but I chose to bring my own coffee pot, glasses and plates, dish towel, etc. The bathroom was clean except for the toilet. Bed was comfortable. When I arrived I easily obtained the key from the lock box (code provided) However, I found the sliding patio door unlocked when I entered. The condition of the cottage was okay. Other reviews mentioned the carpeting was stained, so I expected the same. The area rug was curled up and was a hazard to walk around. The ceiling lighting was very dim. I kept the curtains closed as it was on a very busy street. (loud outdoor bar nextdoor) The screens were separated from frame, allowing mosquitos inside. It was cool enough to shut off the A/C, but due to the screen damage, I could not keep windows open. One window didn't have a screen. The departure day(Monday) was trash pick up day. I was called on Sunday while I was traveling around & reminded to take the trash bin to the curb. I notified the management when I returned there was no trash bin (and about the screens) Overall, it was okay, but could benefit from attention to above mentioned issues.

White picket fence was laying down next to driveway with nails up, but someone came and put it back together while we were there. Windows need cleaning, bird poop (example bathroom window).
