About the host
Hosted by Sheldon Parent
I am from Southern Maine and always have enjoyed spending time in the northern Maine woods whenever I have the chance. I love skiing, snowmobiling, ATV-ing, hiking, fishing, and just spending time outdoors.
Why they chose this property
This cabin is centrally located to the mountains, only 30 minutes to Sugarloaf and 36 minutes to Rangeley where you can ski or snowboard at Saddleback. This house is also located close to many other activities such as ATV and snowmobile trails, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, golfing, and much more. The property is protected by outdoor security cameras in the front and back of the house. Kingfield is a quaint little town only 10 minutes away where you can find a grocery store, gas station, a couple convenience stores, a cidery, wood brick oven pizza, and more. Strong and Phillips are also 10 minutes away, in separate directions, where you can stop in at the local market to get gas, food, or supplies.
What makes this property unique
This is a beautiful, well-decorated, four season house (sleeps 8) nestled in the Maine mountains in Salem Township, Maine. It has 2 bedrooms. One bedroom has a king bed, double bed, smart tv, and balcony. The other bedroom has 2 twin beds. Downstairs in the living room there is a full size pull out sofa that can sleep 2 comfortably. There is central AC, high speed internet, and plenty of room for parking, including a u-turn driveway, so backing in trailers is not necessary.
