This award winning studio, nestled among pinon and juniper, offers the unique experience of a relaxing get-away just minutes from fine dining, museums, galleries, shopping, cafes, hiking trails and much more.

Whether it's business, pleasure, a romantic getaway or a private retreat, Upper Canyon Studio provides the perfect setting with it's beautiful open plan and interplay of indoor-outdoor space. Open the 12 foot sliding glass doors and the living area seamlessly flows into an elegant, minimalist courtyard. Combining sophisticated design with simplicity and comfort, Upper Canyon Studio is perfect for singles and couples.

This beautiful private, studio has a working kitchen, full bath, living space, queen bed, walk-in closet, courtyard, security system, radiant floor heating, air conditioning, and off street parking.

Payment
Full payment and a signed lease are required. Your signed lease must be received within 24 hours of booking. Tenants pay all payment fees to be deducted from the damage deposit.

Short and long term stays are available. Weekly rates apply to stays of 7 nights or more. Monthly rates apply to stays of 30 consecutive nights or more. Rates and amenities are subject to change without notice, please inquire prior to making a reservation.

A 3 night minimum stay is required except during holidays when a 5 night minimum stay is required. Please contact the owner for more information.

Personal Retreat
Upper Canyon Studio is perfectly suited as a private and peaceful retreat space for creative inspiration, meditation and self-renewal. Resources for yoga, pilates, body work, hot springs, alternative practitioners and healthy food options are provided to make your visit more enjoyable.

Eco-Friendly
At Upper Canyon Studio we are committed to the environment and sustainability. We use and provide only non-toxic, ‘green’ cleaning product, toiletries and recycled paper products; we also recycle and offer (optional) composting for extended stays. This is a non-smoking property and pets are allowed on a case by case basis. We strive to provide a non-toxic, low-allergy environment. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate those with environmental sensitivities, please contact us for further details.

The Studio is meticulously maintained and the location is perfect…just minutes from restaurants and shops. It’s also located close to some very beautiful hiking trails. The owner was attentive from when we booked our reservation until the day we left. Highly recommend!

Everything was perfect except the stairs. I did not realize the steps were there. I have some trouble walking and there was no handrail. That was tough for me but I had my husband to help me. Otherwise perfect! Great neighborhood-perfect.

Impeccably clean and relaxing stay

The property was wonderful and the host was very helpful. The kitchen was well equipped, and had all that I needed. There was plenty of natural light and windows with beautiful views. It was a perfect distance from anything you’d want to do from the square, railyard district and canyon road. I’ll definitely stay here again!

My wife and I have stayed at the Upper Canyon Studio many times over the years. It is the first place we think of if we are planning a trip to Santa Fe. The studio is perfect for a couple and is beyond convenient for exploring the city. The studio is setup so you can come and go as needed, but the owner is always available if a need arises. Private, quiet and well located. We can highly recommend it if it fits your needs.

High Desert Bliss

This property contributed greatly to our enjoyable stay in Santa Fe! The location, lack of toxic chemical fragrance and modern design were not only in alignment with us but made our stay very peaceful and comfortable. Perfect location, close to everything but off the beaten path so you can decompress. We walked our dog all around the neighborhood and found everything we needed within a 15 minute drive. The studio is very quiet and cozy. The heated floors and adjustable lighting makes everything feel comfortable and calm.

Upper Canyon Studio is an owner-operated vacation rental, situated on 3/4 acres in the heart of Santa Fe, yet 5 minutes from restaurants, shopping, galleries, museums, and hiking. I purchased the property in 2007, designed, renovated, and began offering it as a vacation rental in 2008. Located off the road and surrounded by pinon and juniper, UCS offers the best of both worlds, a private getaway in the heart of the city.

As a designer, I wanted to create a modern environment, that still maintained a sense of place, which would give travelers a beautiful, peaceful, and unique Santa Fe experience.

Upper Canyon Studio offers an elegant, modern, Santa Fe experience. This private, 525 sq ft studio is both spacious and fully furnished. It has a kitchen, full bath, queen bed, living area, and private courtyard, which includes a café table, lounge chairs and a chiminea. There’s also off-street parking, a security system, air conditioning, and radiant in-floor heating.

We are committed to sustainability and use only natural cleaning products, offer composting, recycling, and provide organic coffee and teas. EV charging is also available for an additional fee. Only professional cleaners and maintenance workers are hired and UCS is certified in Covid safe cleaning practices.

The owner is available 24/7 to address any issues that may arise or to answer questions regarding your visit. A resource folder is provided with local restaurant suggestions, bike rentals, local activities, etc.

At Upper Canyon Studio, our intention is to provide a safe, beautiful and serene environment. A place to come back to and decompress at the end of a busy day or enjoy as a private retreat.
