SPECTACULAR location with ocean/beach views in the heart of Short Sands Village -- that's our Beach Street Retreat!

This BEAUTIFUL updated 2-bedroom/2-bathroom TOP FLOOR SUITE condominium, accessible by elevator on the 4th floor of the iconic Atlantic House, is the perfect summer vacation destination for the whole family. Short Sands Beach, Goldenrods & York's Wild Kingdom are all footsteps away -- LITERALLY!

Upon entering you will immediately appreciate the high-end finishes, hardwood flooring, two gas fireplaces, wall-mounted 42" flat screen TVs in the living room and master bedroom, gorgeous bathrooms, central A/C, and the convenience of an in-unit washer/dryer.

Our well-appointed kitchen features stainless steel appliances, a prep station with butcher block top, a Hamilton Beach FlexBrew coffee maker (makes a 12 cup carafe or single K-Cup), a microwave, toaster, dishwasher, and all the common kitchen amenities necessary for preparing breakfast, lunch and/or dinner.

The open concept dining area (seating for 6) and living room features panoramic views of Short Sands Beach AND Short Sands Village. A gas fireplace and 42" flat screen TV are on showcase in the comfortable living room and there is a queen-size sleeper sofa with 3" memory foam mattress which can accommodate two additional overnight guests.

The master bedroom is a true sanctuary! It has a comfortable queen-size bed, another gas fireplace, and an en-suite bathroom with a large soaking tub (AND rainfall shower head), tiled floors and radiant heat under foot. The master BR also has a separate entrance so that it can be sectioned off from the rest of the condo for additional privacy if needed or wanted.

The second bedroom is light and bright with a full closet, another comfy queen size bed, a flat-screen tv, and best of all, more OCEAN VIEWS!

The entire condo has a relaxed-coastal vibe with fun, beachy decor throughout and furnishings that are equal in comfort and style! You can also stay connected with our dedicated high-speed Spectrum 2G & 5G WiFi network and cable TV with On-Demand movies and shows (pay-per view function not available).

For your convenience, we have one free parking space and an outside storage locker with beach equipment including 4 adult beach chairs, a beach cart, a beach umbrella with sand auger, 2 roll-up beach mats, and 2 boogie boards.

OTHER FEATURES IN THE BUILDING:

There is a specialty wine shoppe, ice cream parlor, and two beach/clothing boutiques LOCATED ON THE GROUND FLOOR of ATLANTIC HOUSE:

Sand Dollar Bar and Grille (Seasonal) is LOCATED ON THE 2ND FLOOR of ATLANTIC HOUSE.

Once outside the Atlantic House you can go to the beach, to Fun-O-Rama, to The Goldenrod, to the beer garden at York Beach Brewery or to York's Wild Kingdom. You can also jump on the York Trolley to Long Sands Beach or the Shoreline Explorer Trolley for a day in Ogunquit. It's ALL right here...Shorts Sands Village restaurants, shops and FUN are right outside your door!

The Beach Street Retreat is great! This is our second year staying and we love it! The hosts are great, very responsive to concerns and keep the property well stocked with all the essentials. Bring your own food and toiletries and everything else you need is already there!

Best Short Sands Vacation Ever

We go to York Beach for a long weekend most years, and have stayed at many of the hotels and a few house rentals too. The condo we rented this past weekend was the best by far. Even with one of the days being a rainy day, we had a really great time, Thanks Dee!!

Beautiful condo—great ocean views

The condo was everything we were looking for and more — nicely furnished, comfortable and welcoming! Great hosts who know the area well and provide lots of great suggestions for things to do, towns to explore and great places to eat. Easy parking and the beach is literally across the street. I hope to be back!

Perfect spot for families

Traveled with young children and the location was perfect. The host was extremely pleasant and the entire experience was smooth start to finish. The full kitchen makes it so easy to dine-in and being in downtown is a lot of fun for kids to enjoy. We will def be back! Thanks again for a great week.

Late Summer Getaway.

The property is very clean, well appointed and is exactly as listed and shown. It’s in the heart of downtown York and short rides to other wonderful attractions and destinations along the coastal areas. Our host was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable of the area offering suggestions from dinning to recreation. Don’t hesitate to try this place out.

Amazing Property

Had an absolute amazing stay. Property was better than pictured. Check in process was so simple. Upon entering we had a beautiful view of the ocean. Traveling with a stroller and young ones, this property was perfect in terms of location. We didn’t need our vehicle the entire stay! Everything you need is in walking distance. From the beach, to the zoo, to the shops! We had a slight hiccup in the check out process (our error) and the hosts were easy to contact and so sweet about it. Will definitely be back!

Perfect location, beautiful Condo

We had a wonderful experience staying in Dee and Doug’s condo. It’s beautifully decorated and fully appointed. The location can not be beat- in the center of everything. There was a piano bar 2 floors down in the same building and I was worried it would be loud but we couldn’t hear a thing! I would absolutely recommend this VRBO and can’t wait to come back. ❤️

Great place in the middle of everything.

Only down side is there is a restaurant right below property so Saturday night it is a bit louder with people signing and having fun. White noise machine supplied. Everything else was great. Knowing ahead and being prepared, it is fine.

A wonderful and easy vacation

We drove up to a beautiful historic building, right in walking distance to everything! The ocean, stores, restaurants, even a zoo and ghost tour Loads of fun. We drove to historic york and visited the historical society's museum the docents were well informed and friendly. The condo had two bedrooms and a pullout couch and Two bathrooms, a combo living and dining area and well equipped kitchen. Also free gated parking near the condo. A yummy ice cream shop on the ground floor. We all enjoyed ourselves and fell in love with the area.

In York for a wedding

My husband and I and my brother and sister-in-law were in York for a wedding. This place was perfect for the 4 of us - spotless, very comfortable living area, 2 nice-size bedrooms and baths, everything we needed for the weekend. The location was right next to the wedding venue so we rarely had to get in our cars - which were both in safe and very close spots. All contacts with the hosts were easy and informative. The check-in gift was lovely and we are still enjoying it! We all would stay there again. I told Dee that this was the best rental I had ever stayed in!

Everything it said it was and MORE!

We recently spent three nights at the Beach Street Retreat in York, ME, and it was an absolutely perfect experience! Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations and it was nothing short of perfect! From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found a gem. The location of Beach Street Retreat couldn't have been more convenient for us. It was situated right next door to the wedding venue we were attending, which made our stay incredibly stress-free and enjoyable. Being able to walk to the wedding and back without worrying about transportation was a huge plus. Beach Street Retreat provided all the amenities we could have asked for. Our stay at Beach Street Retreat was nothing short of perfect. We highly recommend this lovely retreat to anyone looking for a perfect getaway in York, ME.

Great Short Sands Stay

The condo was clean, comfortable, and well organized. Best of all, though, it was about as close as you can get to Short Sands in York Beach. Everything in town is within walking distance - restaurants, convenience store, shops, beer garden, arcade, etc. Groceries are an easy 10 minute drive away. Two dedicated parking spots were also great, with a covered pull through in front of the building to unload and reload the car. Checkin was a breeze. As an added bonus, the hosts were wonderful. They responded quickly to any questions that we had. Everyone had a great time!

Comfortable but…

Overall the condo was fine. It was clean, well located and in good shape. The one issue for me was the noise from a very popular restaurant and piano bar located two floors down from the unit. I understand that the hosts cannot do much about this situation but it turned a great stay in to an OK stay. The star system only allows for four or five stars. I do not think the condo is a five star unit but overall it is more than four. If I could I would rate it 4.5.

Amazing Location and Amenities

My family stayed for 4 nights and had a fantastic time! The unit was beautiful, updated and spotless, and the location was in the center of it all. We were steps from the beach and storage unit with chairs, boogie board, etc. We could walk a block or two to eat, shop or hang out at the boardwalk, arcade and bowling alley. The downstairs ice cream shop made some of the best we had ever tasted! The unit was light, bright and surprisingly quiet considering its central location. Premium linens and towels, laundry detergent and dryer sheets were so helpful to us since we opted to fly to Maine this year. Unloading and loading the car was easy with carts and an elevator and a spot to pull in up front, and parking was reasonably secure and located less than a block away. We spent time in York Beach, but also made a couple quick trips over to Portsmouth and found York was a great home base. Overall, this was the easiest trip to the beach we have ever taken. Dee was a wonderful, attentive host and provided a TON of great recommendations for restaurants and things to do. We had a terrific stay and would return again.

They thought of everything!

Excellent condo for a stay in York! The pictures and descriptions accurately describe the condo - but wait, there's more! My family and I have stayed at many timeshare exchanges over the past 20 years and this was the first time I booked with Vrbo. I always stop at a grocery store and pick up fancy tissue boxes, hand soap, flowers etc. just to liven the place up. This is THE FIRST time I arrived with my lil accessories and all were completely unnecessary. I didn't even need my sound machine! There was one in each bedroom and even next to the pull out sofa. Super clean, cozy, beautifully decorated - had everything you can think of down to the utensils. We only stayed 3 days and it rained most of the time. But, the fireplaces and board games and workable TVs and conveniences made it all a good time. Dee and Doug were great to communicate with. There is no balcony, but a few steps from the front door is an area with Adirondack chairs at the water's edge, so I didn't miss a balcony. Driving to Ogunquit and local areas is a breeze. Our two teenage boys were quite comfortable and if we had stayed longer, I am sure I would have appreciated the use of the items in the beach locker (which I'm sure had everything you could need as well). Definitely a gem. A great place for our short 20th anniversary celebration and we made nice memories. Dee gets 5 stars from me!! Condo is actually more roomy than the pics represent and very sunny, yet back bedroom stays dark if you need that to sleep.

Perfect Long Weekend

We had a great stay at this adorable downtown condo! Dee was so helpful and the listing was just as described. We attended a wedding at the Union Bluff and it was a short walk down the street! 10/10 stay we will definitely be back!
