Experience this unique tri-level ocean retreat. SCC#111256. Located right at Place de Mare and Manresa State Beach, this town home, offers stunning sunrise/sunset views of the Pacific ocean! Relax and unwind in this one of a kind interior, with custom wood work throughout with the feeling of an old, big sailing vessel.

3 comfortable bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed to ensure a restful night’s sleep.

Step outside to find a large balcony deck with a propane BBQ, beach access from the ladder/stairs to main stairs to the sand. Smaller balcony off upper sitting area with hot tub, seating 4 comfortably. The perfect spot to enjoy a nice glass of wine and watch the sunset.

The fully stocked kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, gas stove/oven (small), microwave, dishwasher and granite counters.

The living room and dining room are on the middle level. Relax and unwind in front of the wood burning fireplace and enjoy each other’s company. The dining table seats 6. The 2nd bedroom is behind the dining area.

Down the spiral staircase to the 3rd and bottom level offers a hide away feeling, bathroom with shower, kitchenette area with microwave, sink, toaster, coffee maker and mini refrigerator. This bedroom also has a sitting area with 50” Flat screen smart TV, Blu-ray/DVD Player and full panoramic ocean views. Door to path to main stairs to sand.

-There is a stackable washer/dryer.

- Driveway parking for 2 cars/2 street parking with parking permits.

-FREE 220V Tesla Charge available (must bring own cord).

Beach Bliss

While slightly funky this property has an amazing view, fairly easy access to the beach, a hot tub (!), and is well apportioned. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Loved watching the ocean, the birds, the seals, the porpoises etc. The fireplace was so cozy and easy access to Santa Cruz and surrounding cities.

Awesome location

I stayed with my twin daughters (18y) and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Falling asleep to the crashing waves, enjoying the deck at sunset, and the hot tub before bed made it a truly relaxing experience. The location was great for day trips to Monterey, Santa Cuz, Miss Landing, even hiking Big Sur if you leave early.

Funky layout, but great for two (maybe 3) families!

We really enjoyed the location, and it was nice that two couples could each have a floor, plus the kids in their own space! We made good use of the spa and sauna, and loved the easy access to the beach. Be aware: there are A LOT of stairs - each floor has high ceilings, so maybe more stairs than anticipated. And the spiral staircase to the bottom floor is fairly narrow, so carrying luggage/beach toys to the bottom floor might be more easily accomplished by walking around!

Almost Perfect

Pros: Captains Cove isn't your ordinary attempt at a boat theme...the craftsmanship of the condo and custom wood work is amazing. On the beach location, quiet neighborhood, beach was never busy or congested. Plenty of room for family or two couples. Appliances and lights and hot tub all worked. Boogie boards and chairs in closet were a hit. Cons: Smoke detectors aren't working (please check into this). No where to dry wet towels because of all the wood. So many stairs, FYI! Only one TV on bottom floor which is also a bedroom so one lucky occupant gets the TV, but signal isn't strong and shows kept buffering and freezing up anyway. This condo really needs another, functioning TV; otherwise, we just stare at our phones...boo. The only functioning water hose to wash the sand off was on second floor balcony so we used the fire escape to get there, which was awkward. Overall, loved the condo. We'd be back if they fix the TV situation.
