Could not have been a better place for our Acadia hiking trip. The house is exactly as described. Check in and out also very easy. My daughter and I loved the location and enjoyed how close we were to the National Park. Added bonus was that my recent rescue pup was able to join us. Would definitely stay again!
The place was perfect for us, and we would stay there again if we came back to the Bar Harbor area. The place was clean and had everything you would need to relax, cook and sleep. Our dog enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, and they even had a dog bed for him.
Perfect location, well supplied, and great communication!
No problems booking or hearing from host--the property was clean, well supplied, and just perfect for our family for its super close location to downtown Bar Harbor, Acadia, and mini golf at Pirate's Cove... and for just hanging out after a day of hiking. Also recommend the Bar Harbor Lobster Pound in walking distance!
Pros: communication with host, general cleanliness, well equipped kitchen, complimentary blue boxes with new essentials, and location.
Cons: bird’s nest and paint cans stuck in deck rafters, pillows, Roku, ceilings and walls could use some patchwork/cleaning, and garden, which is listed in the description but doesn’t exist.

Lovely setting with Convenient access to Acadia
Beautiful location in quiet Salisbury Cove. Only 10 minutes to Acadia National Park visitor center.
We had difficulty gaining access to the rental. We were very late arriving to rental and had not received the access code! They were aware that we would be arriving late and said they would send the code to my phone. A 'glitch' in their system and no code was sent.
I would strongly recommend providing access codes 24 hours prior to arrival. (as has been the case with our previous Vrbo rentals)
NOTE: The gas grill did not work properly. low pressure on one burner. Perhaps tank is low. And the second burner would not light at all. No ignition spark.

The location of this property is great! You are very close to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor is a bit further a very quick drive. It is a quiet area and you can take walks if you head towards the cove where it is very peaceful. The listing shows the outside of the property but since that photo was taken weeds have taken over the front of the garage area, not the best curb appeal. As mentioned by another reviewer there were old paint cans and a bird’s next in the rafters of the deck. I understand it is in a wooded area but the windows are in need of a serious cleaning. Inside the pictures are accurate, the kitchen looks newly remodeled. The cleanliness of other areas, however, left a bit to be desired. There was substantial dust on the tv stand and in the bedrooms on the headboards. There were big cobwebs up high where the wall met the high ceiling in the living area. One of the bedrooms only had one closet door, which we did see in the garage. There was a very nice large clock in the living area that didn’t work (maybe just needs a battery?) The bathroom had a few dark spots on the upper walls, not sure what they were. After two nights the nest thermostat was registering a message saying “no power to R wire detected” Finally, the towels need an upgrade and their policy is to leave 1 roll of toilet paper (stated by the front door) Lucky for us we DID find two more rolls. With some relatively inexpensive fixes this place could be much better.
