A MUST visit at this clearwater RIVER front home on the Weeki Wachee river!!! WALK OUT THE BACKDOOR, We provide a paddleboard, 4 kayaks, 2 tubes for our guests to use for their enjoyment on the main river.Paddle just minutes from hospital hole where the manatees play! Take in all of the beauty from the banks of the Weeki Wachee river. ...one of the most natural spots in Florida, The perfect place to visit..... looking to relax, unwind, and enjoy Mother Nature. This 3 bedroom and 2 bath has plenty of room for friends or family... You are 3.2 miles from the Weeki Wachee State Park where tourists, including Elvis Presley was once visit .A must visit to many local restaurants with music and great food only minutes away.

Included: the entire home, direct on the banks of the famous Weeki Wachee River, with corn hole boards, outside seating, charcoal BBQ and future memories of an amazing time!

No docking of a vessel during your stay, you are more than welcome to park any boats and trailers on the property and launch at Rogers Park or bayport launch minutes away!!!Enjoy

Easiest VRBO rental we've ever had

I cant recommend Dogwood Cottage high enough, its a gorgeous piece of real estate. You wont regret booking Dogwood Cottage.

This little slice of paradise was the perfect escape for us! The location is spot on and we launched a right from the back yard. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We will be back for sure!

July 4th weekend

This is the second time we’ve visited this house and again we were very pleased with everything-location, view, house- everything was excellent! We even saw dolphins swimming in the river and manatees! Thank you so much! We will be back again!

Location was perfect- at the end of the road so no traffic. The water was beautiful. Kayaks were used often. Rental was exactly as advertised. Summer was attentive and readily available for any concerns. Would definitely rent again!

Had a great time. House had what we needed. Great views from balcony. We seen multiple manatees, dolphins, otter, hawks diving for fish, and lots of good people watching, we caught enough blue crabs for crab cakes one night. We kayaked about 2 miles and swam in crystal clear water. Upper Deck is a great casual restaurant on the water a mile away. Zero issues during our stay, we used the provided kayaks, floats, charcoal grill, chairs, cooler. There is an outside shower to rinse off, which was nice. Check in was easy and Summer was great start to finish!

We had a blast staying here. This place has everything that you could possibly need for a great stay on the Weeki Wachee river. Some standout amenities were the stocked kitchen, cold AC, gorgeous views, washer/dryer, grill, and provided kayaks. We saw so many beautiful animals including birds, manatees and a river otter! The deck was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the views! Summer was very helpful! She made sure we had a smooth check in process and ensured we had everything we needed! She was always available for questions. I highly recommend this property. I’ve included some of the pics I took so you can see how special it is. Thanks!!!

Beautiful Stay!

The house/location was perfect. It was an absolute stunning view & had everything we needed to enjoy the 4 days we were there! We saw manatees, went kayaking and LOVED just watching the view from the balcony! Absolutely cannot wait to come back! :)

Great location!

We loved Dogwood Cottage! The location was great right on the main Weeki Wachee River. We sat on the sea wall and watched manatees, otters and lots of people going by daily. The water is clean and clear and a cool 74 degrees. We look forward to our next stay. The property management team was very responsive to a few questions we had during our stay.

Family fun

Our extended family enjoyed our stay, both the two year old and 89 year old grandma found things to do. The house was well stocked with kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and sheets for the sofa sleeper. Kayaking upstream in the earlier morning was wonderful. We will come again!

Almost 5 stars!

The property was listed ell maintained and the house was nice and clean when we arrived. Summer was helpful and communicated well with us. Check-in was a breeze. The kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes, silverware, coffee maker, toaster oven, and everything you need to cooks meals. New appliances all worked well. The washer and dryer are very new, which was a huge plus. Plenty of towels, trash bags, and cleaning supplies were available for us. The back deck and living room have lovely views. We saw manatees and a couple of dolphins as well! The back yard is such a beautiful and functional area. Our whole family enjoyed swimming and kayaking on the beautiful spring-fed river. We hardly left the property because the kids were having such a great time on the water. As much as I wanted to leave a 5 star rating, one major thing fell short for us - the furniture. Both beds in the first floor bedrooms were so incredibly uncomfortable that the 4 adults had trouble sleeping and woke up with back pain. I ended up on the couch one night and another I had to trade beds with my son (the upstairs trim beds and more comfortable and seem much newer than the “adult” beds) and sleep on one of the twin mattresses. My sister and her husband chose to leave early because of this. The Living Room has one sofa and one chair. We made it work, but it would have been nice to have enough comfortable seating for everyone. I’d LOVE to come back if the mattresses get replaced!

Why they chose this property

This property has been owned by three generations. originally purchased in the 1960's, Dogwood Cottage was only the second home on the street! Some of our favorite memories are of us watching manatee swim by and floating the entirety of the crystal blue water of the world famous Weeki Wachee River.

What makes this property unique

Unlike most other rental properties on the Weeki, we have direct access to the river. Our property is mostly surrounded by nature so you feel like you are glamping during your stay. Enjoy!
