Torch Lake, Torch River Shack stay where Torch Lake Sandbar fun begins.

This AMAZING apartment is newly remodeled this year! Stay here and you will enjoy breath taking views of Torch River and Torch Lake. A quaint two-bedroom, one bath apartment located above the Torch River Shack right on the Torch River, just walking distance (~500 feet) from the Famous Torch Lake Sandbar. With a twin sized pullout extra oversized chair, it can sleep up to eight people. Parking for one car but no RVs please. Boat Trailer parking is possible offsite. This is a weekly rental from May - October that rents Friday to Friday. We recommend you bring your boat to fully enjoy the gorgeous Torch Lake waters. This unit includes an outdoor slip for a boat of 25 feet or less. But if you don’t have a boat, we have rental pontoons that seat up to 14 people available at a discounted rate onsite. We do not allow pets, smoking, fireworks, or outdoor fire-pits other than ours. Please note there are outdoor surveillance cameras for your added security. This rental is directly above Torch River Shack so you can easily enjoy delicious Guernsey Ice Cream, Amazing fresh Pizza, Beer, Wine and our famous Adult Slushie’s are just a quick hop downstairs. If you are wanting to venture out this rental it is a 5-minute drive to Alden, 15 minutes to Elk Rapids, and 35 minutes to Bellaire or Traverse City. This area has attractions for all ages in your party; Wine Tasting, Breweries, Golfing, Hiking, Shopping, Paddle Boarding, Kayaking, Canoeing, Jet Skiing, and Boating the chain of lakes are just to name a few.

We had such a wonderful stay at Torch River Shack! The cabin had everything we needed and more—cozy, clean, and thoughtfully stocked. The view was absolutely beautiful, the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. Our host was so kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to come back!

Great location in the heart of the action on Torch Lake

We love this part of Michigan, and now have spent time there for two summers in a row. This stay made it so we have found a home base.
