The rooftop and patio add an entirely unique experience to your stay—sunsets, ocean air, and a peaceful elevated retreat.

ABOUT THE APARTMENT:

This 600 sq ft ground‑level 1‑BR / 1‑BA (sleeps 4 (two would be on the pull out) apartment is simple and affordable. It features:

* Private entry from the side patio
* Renovated kitchen
* Semi‑private creekside back patio (too be remodeled)
* Skylight in the living room
* HD‑TV & high‑speed internet
* Queen bed
* Queen sofa‑sleeper (very comfortable for kids or a second couple - I hope you like Blue :-/ (soon to be replaced).

Lovely place and location!

My mom, friend, and I stayed here for a long weekend and it was perfect! Cute neighborhood, walkable to the funk zone and state street, and has a bonus rooftop garden. We would stay here in the future again!

Fantastic location and very comfortable

My husband, our daughter, and I spent several days here, and we loved it. The one-bedroom unit was very comfortable and well-equipped, the building is convenient to the beach and the Funk Zone, and the rooftop garden and sitting area is delightful. We’d love to stay here again in the future!

We had a wonderful stay . Easy check in process . Great communication with owner . The bed is really great. You can easily walk to the beach and to all the great restaurants nearby. The only negative is the parking the weekend there is only 90 minutes parking from 10 am to 5pm.

Great little spot close to the beach.

My mother, partner, and I really enjoyed our stay at a Chapala Gardens. This is our first time to Santa Barbara and we felt right at home. There were some “technical difficulties” with the house, but Sandy was very responsive and very accommodating. We can’t wait to come back.

We had a great week at Chapala Gardens. The location is perfect, apartment had everything we needed including a new water filter (much appreciated filling our water bottles before heading out), the rooftop is amazing and Sandy is attentive and helpful. The pictures exactly match the apartment -- it's cute and comfy, bath & furnishings not updated, but we understood that going in.

Attention to detail everywhere!

Beautiful property, centrally located to the Funk Zone in SB. Everything including the beach, bars, coffee shops, resturants and harbor are a super short walk away. The house itself was so cute and clean with everything you could need and more! They even had a foot massager that was heaven sent after two days of being in heels for wedding festivities! The highlight though, is the patio over looking the canal that provided the most amazing sunset views. So beautiful.

Great Location

My wife and I really enjoyed our two night stay. Unit 2 has everything you need with a simple well worn feel (only reason a gave it a 4 instead of 5 on cleanliness is due to wear and tear on some of the furniture, but is all just fine). It's a quiet location, but a super easy walk to all the action. Check out the hydroponic rooftop vegetable garden. It's super cool.

A Beautiful place with the river behind and the Ocean almost in front. The rooftop garden is marvelous and a wonderful treat to sit up there and see the city and beach. It tok 5 min. to walk to the end of the pier to watch the sunrise. I wish I could share soe of the pictures here. Thank you.

Perfect location !

My husband and I spent 4 nights here and really enjoyed the location and the bed was very comfy. The shower was too small but we made due. The property was in need of some maintenance and Sandy was attentive to it. The roof top gardens were amazing and Sandy was very informative about it and we are very interested in purchasing some towers for growing our veggies on a condo deck when we retire. It was a pleasure staying here and we think it was meant for us to do so😜

Cute place but a couple of things need attention. The shower is very small and the shower head needs to be replaced. Would be nice to have 2 sets of towels for each person. Suggest upgrading the coffee pot. The couch is not comfortable. Parking can be a challenge.

We are residents of Santa Barbara, having moved from the Sacramento area and Canada to here in 2008. We formerly occupied the front main unit of this beautiful tri-plex by the beach and oversee the property ourselves.

Our rooftop is a beautiful, demonstration aeroponic, soil-less vertical farm which is available to our guests for lounging, dining and just enjoying!

Health-conscious and fitness-oriented, our family enjoys beach volleyball, bicycling and running right here in West Beach with its nearby amenities. We also are pioneering a soil-less, vertical aeroponic Tower Garden farm on our rooftop.

We love sharing our love of this ideal neighborhood with our guests.

West Beach is THE place to stay in Santa Barbara for both beach and downtown access. Very few properties become available here, and certainly none with the amenities we offer for the reasonable price we offer!
