This cabin was more than we expected! It had everything you needed and more. My sisters and I were there for a weekend getaway and could not have asked for a better place to stay. The fire pit was stocked with wood and enough chairs for all of us to enjoy. The kitchen was had everything you would need. Traci checked in a few times to make sure everything was OK, So thoughtful. Highly recommend staying at Pond in the Pines. We would definitely stay there again!

Thank you for choosing us and for the great review! You were exemplary guests and treated the cabin like your own! We would love to host you and your family again.
We have stayed in VRBOs all over the country, and nothing comes as close to exceptional as this property. It was remarkably clean and comfortable, host Traci has truly thought of everything. From the quality of the beds and linens to the thoughtful games and firewood stacked outside, our family was able to relax and enjoy the solitude of the property, the gorgeous views, and the nearby State Park. We traveled with our dogs, and every need was anticipated. There were dog beds (both indoor and out), bowls and blankets, everything we could possibly need. We can't wait to come back!

Thank you so much for the great review! You all were fantastic guests! We can't wait to host you again!
I can't say enough about the Pond in the Woods. The place was immaculate when we got there and was stocked with everything we needed and much more. The place is secluded and peaceful. We walked down to the pond and sat on the bench and just enjoyed the peace and quiet.Watching the birds, raccoon and squirrels around the bird feeder in the early morning while drinking our first cup of coffee was a great start to our day. The fire pit was well stocked with firewood and had enough chairs for the six of us.It is near Hocking Hills State Park and other interesting places. The host went above and beyond to be sure our stay was comfortable. She checked with us the first morning we were there to make sure everything was okay and to see if we had everything we needed. She communicated with us quickly when we had questions. We take short vacations a couple times a year at different places and without a doubt this place was the best. We will come back.

We traveled from New York to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from OU and her commissioning into the Army, and this home made the entire experience even more special. It comfortably accommodated all six of us and was absolutely immaculate. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, making it easy to enjoy meals together. We spent many memorable hours around the fire pit and relaxing on the back deck, and there was more than enough firewood provided for our entire stay. The property itself was wonderful—peaceful trails to explore and even a pond where we caught a nice bass! The Weber grill was a great bonus and made for a perfect evening cookout. Inside, the living room was warm and cozy, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and there were plenty of towels provided for everyone.Traci, the host, was exceptional. She stayed in constant communication and truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. She helped make an already meaningful family celebration even more memorable.I highly recommend this home and would absolutely stay here again!

Thank you for the great review! You were wonderful guests and took excellent care of the property. Come back soon!
We had a wonderful stay (our second time staying here!) and could not have been happier with both the property and the hosts. It was immediately apparent how much care and attention has gone into creating such a special place. The cabin was beautifully maintained, exceptionally clean, and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need for a relaxing and enjoyable family getaway. From the awesome firepit to the fantastic grill, the open porch on one side and enclosed porch on the other, the beautiful kitchen, relaxing living room, comfy bedrooms, very handy washer and dryer, fun indoor and outdoor family games, beautiful property and fun fishing pond, there’s something for everyone and it’s like a perfect home away from home for our family. The hosts truly went above and beyond to make our family feel welcome and comfortable. Every detail seemed thoughtfully considered, from the amenities provided to the overall warmth and atmosphere of the property. Communication before and during our stay was excellent — they were responsive, helpful, and genuinely kind throughout the entire process. Our first visit in 2025 was so positive we booked again for 2026 and both times were absolutely wonderful. It’s rare to find a property where you can tell the owners take such pride in both the home itself and the guest experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-appointed, and memorable cabin getaway.

Thank you for the great review Stephanie! We really enjoyed hosting you all. You were fantastic guests and we hope you stay with us again!
It was simply amazing! This will be our fourth year coming to Hocking Hills and by far the BEST accommodations we have experienced. Our pups came with us to and it was so very special to see dog bowls & beds all ready for them when we walked into the cabin. The trails on the property were beautiful! Communication with the host was perfect. We had not one issue or complaint during our stay. There is no doubt in our mind that we will come back here on our next stay and the stays after that. We so appreciate everything the hosts did to make their cabin a home away from home for us.

We returned to Pond in the Pines cabin to celebrate a birthday and fall break recently. Another amazing stay that exceeded our expectations once again! We were greeted by a super clean and stocked cabin with thoughtful birthday treats from Traci (owner). I staff by my review from last year, all you need to bring is the people and food…everything else is provided! We enjoyed fishing, hiking/exploring the property and off (we did 3 new to us hikes around the state park and forest this year), bonfires and a movies inside on a rain day. Soooo relaxing, we can’t wait to return again next fall!

This home was the cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed in! We appreciated the welcoming and cozy atmosphere, the stocked coffee bar, homey decor, updated bathrooms and kitchen. We loved everything about this house from the comfortable beds to the generous supply of towels. The pictures do not begin to do it justice! However, even this home is outshone by the property it sits on! The fire pit, stocked with wood (wow!) and Adirondack chairs made evenings together so memorable. The trails through the woods to the pond, where we saw deer and heard turkeys, was so peaceful and quiet. This house is truly like an island unto itself. You feel like you’re deep in a national forest even though it’s conveniently located near Logan and all of the top Hocking Hills trailheads. The pond is much like what I’d imagine Henry D. Thoreau’s Waldon Pond was like—serene and peaceful. Many of us took our books down to read in the Adirondack chairs while others fished and caught bass, bluegill and sunfish. The setting was perfect we hardly wanted to leave to go hiking! Each day we came back from our adventures and shared drinks and laughs by the fire. We will definitely return to this gem in the woods! Especially since we were able to bring our beagle mix along with us to enjoy the fun!

About the host
Hosted by Traci Nichols
My husband grew up in the Hocking Hills area and we always knew we wanted to eventually own a little slice of heaven there. The natural beauty of the area, along with the the incredible rock formations, caves and waterfalls is truly amazing. It is truly one of the most undisturbed areas in Ohio. When we found the right property, we had to take a leap of faith and buy it. We hope you love it as much as we do!
