Located in one of the most beautifully scenic and popular areas in Iceland, this charmingly stylish 85 Square meter Lake House has a breathtakingly stunning view over Lake Alftavatn ( Swan Lake) and is very well located for Northern light spotting from our hot tub!

The Lake House has a breathtakingly stunning view over Lake Alftavatn ( Swan Lake) and the majestic Ingolfsjall ( Ingolfs mountain- named after Iceland's first settler). Comfortable and with everything you would require , the house is also conveniently located very close to most of the South Coasts main exciting tourists attractions including The Golden Circle, Gullfoss, Geysir and many beautiful horse-riding trails and golf courses. Also, very well located for Northern light spotting , you can enjoy many an evening sitting in the hot tub watching the northern lights dance above you.

Please note that check out time is 11am and check in anytime after 4pm .

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy and comfortable home immensely. It is in a beautiful, peaceful setting yet only 15- 20 minutes to stores and restaurants in Selfoss or Hveragardi. Everything was very clean and we appreciated the well-stocked kitchen. Check in was very simple and the property wasn't hard to find at all. It was our favorite place we stayed during our time in Iceland.

Great spot just off the Golden Circle

This house was perfect for our family of 5. Plenty of room for everyone. Great amenities including a fully stocked kitchen, enough towels for everyone and a hot tub! We really enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful Stay

This was our 4th trip to Iceland but the first with our two girls. Our host was fantastic and the accommodations were perfect. The view is one of a kind and breathtaking. A great location that is central to explore much of southern Iceland. Would highly recommend :)

This cabin was super cozy and was perfect for our group of six. The view was gorgeous and we loved how secluded the location felt. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub, and we even got to see the northern lights from the deck! I would definitely recommend staying here.

Amazing Stay

This was an amazing place to stay! We loved all the little extras like robes for the hot tub, Nespresso machine, and hot chocolate. The place felt so cozy and had a country cottage feel. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights for about 2 hours one of our nights. We highly recommended this property, you won’t be disappointed!

Fab family getaway

Such a great base for exploring Iceland - we went in a different direction every day. Having Selfoss so close was very handy, the food hall and ice cream parlour are worth a visit. Coming back to the cosy, well equipped lodge and the hot tub was bliss after a long (and cold!) day of exploring.

Northern Light Stay

Great little home with a fantastic view

The home was great, well suited for me and my husband, our two teens and their friends. Hottub was great to use, over looking the lake. Cleaning was 1.5 hours past check in so we had to leave and come back, but it gave us an opportunity to get groceries. Host wasn’t easy to get ahold of, but was very pleasant and willing to assist where needed. Overall very much enjoyed our stay here, location was perfect for everything we wanted to do.

An absolutely stunning property with a fabulous view. Located very privately but still only 10 mins drive from Selfoss. The views, hot tub, size of the property and amenities were perfect. Great stay

This was a great property. It had a great view. You could see the lake and mountain. There's enough of a clearing with the trees in the front of the property for viewing the northern lights. The owner was fantastic and went well above and beyond when we had left an item there and can't express enough how grateful we were for that.
