Such a great place! Comfortable living area to hang out, spacious bedrooms, multiple bathrooms. Great for a group of friends or family! Would definitely return.
We loved our stay here, both for the comfortable space that provided our home base and for the great location that allowed us to explore the surrounding area. We would happily stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay! Amy, our host, could not have been more welcoming. She was very considerate of and responsive to all our needs. The house itself is charming, spacious, and very clean. The location is ideal for walking to restaurants and shops. Highly recommend this Sheperdstown Getaway!
Perfect location for attending the Contemporary American Theater Festival (CATF) - close to restaurants, the Farmer's Market, wonderful Shepardstown shops and an easy walk or drive to the theaters. The house was spacious and easily accomodated our crew. We enjoyed eating and playing board games in the spacious kitchen and relaxing in the living room.
This was the happiest place right in the middle of Shepherdstown. The location could not have been better, and the home is so cozy!! We hope to be back!
Lovely, clean, updated and spacious property in the heart of the downtown area! Within walking distance to sops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend! Thank you so much for a wonderful visit!
The home was very clean and had everything we needed for the weekend!
The location was great as we could walk downtown to shop and eat.
We will definitely stay here again!
This house is a hidden gem! Steps form everything, with plenty of parking and a lovely outdoor sitting area! We really enjoyed how the house was set up for kids! It was a great stay!
Amy thought of every comfort - including earplugs for noisy bedmates! The home is well located for all the delights of downtown and well appointed for comfort
A thoroughly enjoyable stay at Amy’s VRBO while attending a weekend of plays at CATF. The property was just as described in the listing—accessible, well-appointed, welcoming and convenient.
Despite the flooded C&O canal, my visit w 4 other biking friends allowed us to see Shepardstown rather than the C&O canal bike paths. What a great town to visit. And it e VRBO was the PERFECT location and size! It was my 1st time to use VRBO and our hostess Amy was so helpful before we arrived. Love this property!
This house is located in the center of town, and walkable to many places, or a short drive away.
The owner was helpful before and during our stay. We look forward to returning for another visit soon. This was a great place to stay during the Contemporary American Theater Festival.

I'm a West Virginian by way of Houston, Los Angeles, and DC. Southern at heart, I love to host intimate dinner parties for friends. Long drives in the beautiful West Virginia countryside is one of my favorite past-times, along with shopping and home decorating.
Why they chose this property
We purchased the Michael Yeasley House and they guesthouse you will be staying in because of the historic nature of the home. The main house was built in 1795. The guesthouse was build in 2004 and has all of the modern conveniences. The main-house fronts onto German Street, which is the main drag. All of the town's amenities are just a short stroll away.

Rafting, kayaking, and hiking within walking distance. A short drive to Charles Town Casinos and Antietam Battlefield. Ninety minutes from DC and Baltimore.
